I want to talk about Mayor Bloomberg because a lot of people that are from New York don\u2019t understand. First and foremost, this is a liberal Democrat who ran as a Republican for political expediency &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: &#8212; which is mendacious to begin with, and now he wants to have what he calls &#8216;congestion pricing,\u2019 which is basically a commuter tax.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah, but wait a minute. The New York Assembly threw that out, and he\u2019s livid, right?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Right, and now he\u2019s threatening, in typical liberal Democrat fashion, &#8216;I can\u2019t get my way, so I\u2019m going to&#8230;\u2019 Now he\u2019s threatened that if he doesn\u2019t get this, he\u2019s going to raise prices on tolls, on tickets, on parking, so basically stomping his feet like a little baby, like a typical liberal: &#8216;I can\u2019t get my way so I\u2019m going to do something,\u2019 and I\u2019m telling you, and a lot of New Yorkers are against this, man, he just doesn\u2019t see the light, and I don\u2019t know how the guy got into office anyway, but it\u2019s really, really f\u2019ustrating.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, I think you better get ready. This guy is making serious noises about running for president as an independent, and he may do it.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, not while I\u2019m on this planet. Not while I\u2019m in the voter box.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Listen, I have a formal request for the man with talent on loan from God.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: And what would that be?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Okay, listen, listen. I\u2019ve had a tumultuous life &#8212; I\u2019m not going to get into it; it will take too long &#8212; but I\u2019ve been dying to get into radio and I\u2019m trying to get into broadcasting school, and I would like to request on Open Line Friday if I could be your man behind enemy lines in liberal trenches of New York City to call in for five or ten minutes a week to give you the updates on what\u2019s going on behind liberal enemy lines.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: My heart is warmed by the fact here, Ralph, that you want to participate. I can totally understand. Everybody wants to be part of the biggest radio program in the country, and I\u2019m honored.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Of course.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I\u2019m honored that you actually would want to get into this business and serve humanity in your own way. The thing is, we do not have foreign correspondents.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (Laughing.)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (Laughing.) Look, Ralph, here\u2019s the way I\u2019ll deal with that. If I accede to this request, it\u2019s going to be difficult to say no to others that do this. Just keep trying to call in. Whenever you\u2019ve accumulated your research and your undercover work has produced results, head for the phones and let us hear from you.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Okay. You got it, because I call into the sports stations, and I have a little bit of a following here.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, I appreciate it.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Your best bet may be to call the program director and say, &#8216;Hey, hire me!\u2019 I mean, it\u2019s happened, Ralph. (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: All right, listen, it\u2019s 20 million people listening right now. &#8216;Hire me, because I have expertise!\u2019 (Laughing.)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (Laughing.) <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: You know what it is, Rush? You know what it is? I do have a lot of experience and expertise in a lot of issues facing our times because I\u2019ve been through a lot, and I don\u2019t want to get into it.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, you said you\u2019d had a tumultuous life.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yeah, I spent a lot of time in prison, drugs, homelessness, pennilessness, and through the grace of God I\u2019ve turned my life around.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: So you\u2019ve seen it all and now you\u2019ve gotten out of that and you\u2019re doing well?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yeah. Well, I used to use my powers for diabolical reasons. I now use it for goodness and humanity and for the American way. Conservative American way.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: And I\u2019m sure you feel much better having made that choice.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (Laughing.) Absolutely!<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Absolutely.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Absolutely.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, you just keep a sharp eye on Bloomberg for us.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: You got it, Rush.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: All right. All right. Don\u2019t start shadowing the guy. You\u2019ll get in trouble. Just keep a sharp eye on what he\u2019s doing.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: All right, enjoy your weekend, bro!
