Well, cool. Kumbaya.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Hey, why can\u2019t we give Iran an ultimatum: &#8216;Get out of Iraq or we\u2019ll take out your refinery\u2019?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, there\u2019s an easier way to do it, because Iran has to import more gasoline than it produces, and I don\u2019t think it has but one refinery. They\u2019re in bad shape. They\u2019re a pretty rich oil nation, but they don\u2019t have any refineries. They don\u2019t have to import gasoline. They produce and drill for their oil; they pump it up, and they send it out to get refined and bring it back as gasoline or whatever other products they need. All it would take would be an ocean blockade, just a port blockade, and that wouldn\u2019t require any direct military action. <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Look, I can\u2019t answer the question. I don\u2019t know what\u2019s being planned. That may well be in the plans. I can\u2019t speculate on things that I don\u2019t know, in that regard. The Russians are out there saying that the nuclear plant in Iran will go online in early \u201908. I don\u2019t know if that\u2019s part of it. They\u2019re not talking about weapons-grade nuclear there. This is the so-called North Korean version of a nuclear power plant. Look, this is exactly what I was talking about earlier. This is one of these Churchill moments. You know who the Iranians are. You know what they are saying. They are promising and they are committing, and it\u2019s all coming from their religion, the 12th imam, who needs to be liberated from the well where he\u2019s holed up, and they think that launching an attack on the infidels of the world will release the 12th imam and that\u2019s the equivalent of their paradise showing up, their Armageddon, the Second Coming, rapture, whatever you want to call it. They\u2019re telling us everything they\u2019re going to do, and we\u2019re sitting around saying, &#8216;Well, he\u2019s just a little guy just trying to get attention. He\u2019d never do what he\u2019s saying. He\u2019d never do what he\u2019s threatening.\u2019 You look at what\u2019s happening in Lebanon. You look at what\u2019s happening in Syria. You look at what\u2019s happening with the funnel of terrorists coming into Iraq from Syria and Iran. It would be silly to ignore this, and I just can\u2019t believe that there are people in Washington who are, at the administration level.
