CALLER: Rush, do you remember when the timeline for ending the war depended —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Stop it just a second! Stop just a second. Sir, do you have an iPhone? <\/p>\n

CALLER: No.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Would you like one?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Sure!<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m going to send you one, and you know why?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Why? <\/p>\n

RUSH: Because you got right into it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (Laughing.)<\/p>\n

RUSH: You just asked your question.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You just got right into it: ‘Rush, about this timeline…?\u2019 You just got right into it. You couldn\u2019t ask me how I was doing. You didn\u2019t blah, blah, blah, blah. I don\u2019t mind the other way, but I just loved it. So if you hang on here after this is over, we\u2019re going to send you an iPhone, because we\u2019ll get all the information necessary to do it. I\u2019m going to send you an extra cord, charger, and dock for the thing as well. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Great!<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right. Now, even though you started out right, I interrupted you, but that was for a good and gracious reason. Start again, please, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you. You\u2019re very gracious. The reason I called was to ask if you remembered when the timeline for a war depended on when the enemy surrendered.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Uh… (laughs) Yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Why is it that John Edwards and the rest of the Democrats don\u2019t understand that principle?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I think they do, but they\u2019re too far gone politically now in the investment of defeat, and their line is, ‘It isn\u2019t a war. It\u2019s a civil war. It\u2019s sectarian and we can\u2019t stop it, and there\u2019s nothing we can do and they\u2019re going to have to fight it out for themselves.\u2019 They\u2019re being led around by their kook-fringe leftists, the anti-war movement in this country, and that\u2019s who they are proving fealty to, and nothing is going to change that. They\u2019re not interested in victory. You have to understand now, Stewart (which I\u2019m sure you do, politically), the absolute worst thing that can happen is for this to work, and for this to succeed, and for there to be victory at the end of it. That\u2019s the worst, absolute worst thing, that can happen, especially if we make significant progress toward that prior to 2008.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s correct from the Democrats\u2019 point of view. Mr. Limbaugh, there\u2019s one other thing I wanted to mention about Fouad Ajami.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah?<\/p>\n

CALLER: And the evidence that he was right last night is that Syria right now is very upset with the rest of the Arab world for not condemning Israel, which last week did a long-range bombing strike into eastern Syria, and none of the other Arab countries are complaining about what Israel did because they think Syria deserved it because what was bombed was a missile battery that was provided by I-ran.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Exactly. And it may have been nuclear. They\u2019re still looking into that, but there might have been some nuclear sites that Israel also hit. Interesting point. He did make that point, that nobody is condemning Israel in the Middle East, and that is unreal. That has almost never happened.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you very much, sir. I appreciate your graciousness, and I will use your gift to the maximum potential.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Have you ever seen an iPhone? Have you ever seen one used?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019ve seen them at the store, but I have never seen one used.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you are going to be blown away. Do you have a Mac or do you have Windows?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Presently I have Windows, but that could change.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, it will work with Windows. You have iTunes, use iTunes?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right. Well, you need iTunes. You need the latest version of iTunes to activate the phone and sync all the data. It\u2019s sort of like an iPod except it has much more on it. You\u2019ll be stunned and blown away.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I am sure I will. I\u2019m already ecstatic. Thank you.<\/p>\n
