RUSH: The Reverend Jackson was in South Carolina yesterday. ‘Jackson called Tuesday on Democrats seeking the 2008 nomination for president to give S.C. voters “something to vote for” when they go to the polls in January. On a statewide tour to register new voters, Jackson said South Carolina will determine ‘who has momentum\u2019 in the primary when it votes Jan. 29.\u2019 But the big news coming out of the Reverend Jackson\u2019s appearance was that he said, in being critical of Senator Ubama, that he\u2019s ‘acting like he\u2019s white.\u2019 Jackson said Ubama has had a tepid response to six black juveniles\u2019 arrests on attempted murder charges in Jena, Louisiana.<\/p>\n

The Reverend Jackson said that, ‘If I were a candidate, I\u2019d be all over Jena. Jena is a defining moment, just like Selma was a defining moment.\u2019 He said he did not recall making the ‘acting like he\u2019s white\u2019 comment about Ubama, stressing he only wanted to point out the candidates had not seized an opportunity to highlight the latest racial incident, ladies and gentlemen. Well, another liberal questioning the authenticity, ladies and gentlemen, of Barack Obama, the ‘Magic Negro\u2019.<\/p>\n

Ah, yes, that\u2019s well-known white comedian Paul Shanklin as the Reverend Sharpton there. ‘Barack the ‘Magic Negro” on the heels of the Reverend Jackson saying that Barack Ubama is acting like he\u2019s white in not dealing with civil rights cases and events that are happening all over the country. I love that because Reverend Al goes off the lyric line there, just can\u2019t stay on the lyric line and starts protesting the recording session, and then, of course, you had the chorus trying to drown him out as they keep singing.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
