Hello.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Oh, Rush this is an honor. Twenty years and I got through. I just finished your newsletter, and we are so proud of you, Elaine and I. We need you and hang in there. We want you 20 more years.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Twenty more years? It might take that long to get every American to agree with me, so&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Oh, hey, we love you, and you know that 30% that you said that they hate you? They\u2019re envious of you, Rush, and they\u2019re jealous of you because they\u2019re afraid to be honest, and you\u2019re honest.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: You know, I appreciate your saying that. That\u2019s a good point. I\u2019ll tell you what I think it is. I think people that don\u2019t know me or don\u2019t know President Bush and still have this vile hatred &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Right, right.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125117.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"140\" height=\"276\" class=\"alignleft\"\/>RUSH: &#8212; it\u2019s irrational. It\u2019s irrational in a certain sense, but here\u2019s what scares them. I think it goes down to this. It\u2019s not really more complicated than this. They detest people of faith, people who believe in God, because people who have faith and believe in God know that there are things in life much larger than themselves, and the faith and the strength and the confidence that that faith provides people threatens liberals, because to liberals &#8212; now, I\u2019m talking about the real radical liberals; the real radical liberals, the leaders of these movements &#8212; it\u2019s all about them. They don\u2019t have faith in anything other than themselves. They don\u2019t believe there\u2019s anything more than man, and that they are the smartest among us, and they want to be the focus &#8212; when they aren\u2019t. They\u2019re deathly afraid of people of faith because they don\u2019t have any, and it\u2019s something, I think, that needs to be pounded into people. People are always asking me, &#8216;How can these people be the way they are?\u2019 They\u2019re scared. You\u2019re exactly right, Bob. They are frightened, and they\u2019re frightened of people who have faith, who believe in things larger than themselves.
