CALLER: I\u2019m a first-time caller, and I wanted to mention how much our family appreciates your support of the armed forces.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I appreciate that. Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And I also wanted to mention that my husband\u2019s mother actually used to babysit you when you were a crumb cruncher down in Cape Girardeau.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Naaah, no, no, no, no. Your husband\u2019s mother used to babysit me?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. Her maiden name then was Barbara Wallace.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I wonder how old I was when Barbara Wallace was babysitting me.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, she\u2019s in her early seventies, so your guess is as good as mine.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you know, my memory is just unflappable, my memory is impeccable, but I don\u2019t remember. I wouldn\u2019t remember the last name, but Barbara… I must have been really, really, really young.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. Her and her sister, the Wallace family.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Did her sister babysit, too?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What was her name?<\/p>\n

CALLER: You know, I don\u2019t know her sister\u2019s name.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Hmm. Well, does she ever talk to you about this and how it changed her life?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No. I would like to think that maybe she helped change your life since you\u2019re conservative.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Good answer! (laughing) Great answer. Well, I\u2019ll tell you what, this is on the day we talk to Lynne Cheney about what it was like to grow up.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. She served as a pastor for 40 years. Her and her husband just recently retired.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No kidding. Well, this is fascinating. You tell her I said hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I will do that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Anything else that I should know that you know about me?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No. But if I find out any other stories I\u2019ll be sure to e-mail them to you.<\/p>\n
