<\/p>\nRUSH: Let\u2019s be honest about something here.\u00a0 All kinds of people… Everybody lives their life in a different way.\u00a0 Some people live their lives hoping never to be noticed.\u00a0 Some people live their lives embarrassed of their shadow.\u00a0 Some people live their lives constantly in stress.\u00a0 Some people live their lives constantly in a self-conscious state.\u00a0 Some people live their lives hoping nobody notices them.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Other people live their lives as though that\u2019s the only one they\u2019ve got and they\u2019re gonna get the most out of it every day, and they don\u2019t care what anybody thinks about it at the time. They\u2019re gonna live the fullest life they can, and they\u2019re gonna have as many experiences in life as they can — and, on occasion, they\u2019re gonna cross moral boundaries.\u00a0 On occasion, they\u2019re gonna skirt the edges of propriety.\u00a0 But that\u2019s just how they have decided to live.\u00a0 Their view is they only get one and they\u2019re not gonna squander it, and that\u2019s how I would describe Trump.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re talking about someone who has led and is continuing to live what I would call a full life.\u00a0 The guy doesn\u2019t take a day off.\u00a0 He doesn\u2019t take an hour off.\u00a0 The guy — from the moment he gets up after four hours of sleep — is go, go, go, go, go.\u00a0 He is doing everything he can to enjoy his life every day.\u00a0 He\u2019s trying to experience as much as he can every day.\u00a0 He\u2019s being who he is.\u00a0 He has a personality that rubs some people the wrong way.\u00a0 Other people glom onto it and admire it.\u00a0 But Donald Trump is, I think, very illustrative. He\u2019s a great example of the uniqueness of all human beings.\u00a0 It is said often, “Boy.\u00a0 There\u2019s nobody like Trump.”<\/p>\n
There\u2019s nobody like you, either.\u00a0 There\u2019s nobody like me.\u00a0 We are all unique.\u00a0 All human beings have baggage — some of it real, some of it manufactured, most of it due to self-consciousness.\u00a0 Most people live their lives totally concerned about feelings, thoughts, and opinions of others.\u00a0 Donald Trump doesn\u2019t.\u00a0 He really doesn\u2019t, and that\u2019s one of the great differentials in determining Trump\u2019s life or comparing Trump\u2019s life or people like Trump to others.\u00a0 And it takes all kinds.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s not a right, there\u2019s not a wrong — other than if you want to, you know, draw the moral boundaries and start making judgments of when people pass them.\u00a0 Trump has clearly crossed moral boundaries over the course of his life, as have we all.\u00a0 But most of us do not live public lives.\u00a0 Donald Trump not only lives a public life, he wants to live a public life.\u00a0 He\u2019s living the life that he has chosen, and he\u2019s trying to make the most of it each and every day.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ll tell you this: Given the life that Donald Trump assembled and was living prior to announcing his candidacy for the presidency, he didn\u2019t need any of this.\u00a0 Donald Trump was trucking along just fine at 67, 68, 69 years old.\u00a0 He didn\u2019t need any of this.\u00a0 He was doing what he loved.\u00a0 He was doing what he wanted to do.\u00a0 He had his circle of friends.\u00a0 His business of humming.\u00a0 There\u2019d been ups and downs in business.\u00a0 He had fixed it, however that happened.\u00a0 He decides to run for president for I think totally legitimate reasons.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s worried about the future of the country.\u00a0 He doesn\u2019t see anybody else dealing with it as he thinks it needs to be dealt with.\u00a0 So he sets that life aside, runs for president, but then lives that life as he\u2019s running for president — and the life he led prior to it now has come under the microscope.\u00a0 The private life that he led, to the extent that it was private… When I say “private,” I mean simply it wasn\u2019t a public life in terms of holding elective office.<\/p>\n
Everything that Donald Trump has done in his life is now under the microscope, under the microscope of several journalistic organizations which are trying to use anything and everything they can to disqualify Trump as a public figure based on his previous life.\u00a0 That\u2019s all that\u2019s going on here — and they haven\u2019t found anything, so far, that voters think disqualified Trump.
