Happy birthday, by the way.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Thank you very much.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125120.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"210\" class=\"alignright\"\/>CALLER: I just wanted to call and talk to you because just before you went on vacation for the Christmas holiday, you had done this brilliant monologue in response to comments by the Archbishop of Canterbury.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Oh, yes.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I was highly impressed with that. I mean, you\u2019re always impressive, but this was so insightful.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, I appreciate it. This is a guy &#8212; Dr. Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury &#8212; a typical, liberal priest who was disparaging everything. &#8216;Well, you know, the star of Bethlehem, it didn\u2019t stand still. Stars don\u2019t do that.\u2019 He was doing everything he could to say, &#8216;Don\u2019t believe in biblical miracles.\u2019 He even went so far as to get close to the resurrection, and say, &#8216;Well, you can still have Christian and have doubts about the resurrection.\u2019 No you can\u2019t! The resurrection is the key.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: It\u2019s what Christianity is all about. Absolutely.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: It\u2019s the key, and if that didn\u2019t happen, and none of it happened. For an archbishop, the archbishop of Canterbury, to come out and try to water down like that? He can have whatever religion he wants. I remember what I said, he can have whatever religion he wants, whatever faithful belief he wants. Don\u2019t call it Christianity.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Absolutely.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: It\u2019s just another one of these liberals trying to tear down institutions and traditions that people find comfort in, and they use as anchors. It burned me up, especially on the verge here of Christmas! Bud, I appreciate that.
