One was at Columbia University. I think both of these are at Columbia. Cabot Phillips is the&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Oh, by the way. Did you see that Elizabeth Heng\u2019s four-minute ad&#8230;? <a href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/daily\/2018\/08\/06\/facebook-censors-campaign-video-from-brilliant-gop-candidate\/\">We aired it earlier this week<\/a>. Facebook has lifted the ban. Pressure was applied and Facebook has lifted the ban and her ad is visible. You know, they pulled the ad saying it was too much hate because it accurately described the genocide of the Pol Pot regime in Cambodia.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, here\u2019s Cabot Phillips. This was Monday morning on the Campus Reform website asking students at Columbia about the First Amendment&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/M4-TxYLQ_L0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>PHILLIPS: Can you name the five freedoms protected under the First Amendment?<\/p>\n<p>WOMAN: No, I definitely can\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>MAN #1: No, I can\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>PHILLIPS: Any?<\/p>\n<p>MAN #1. You mean we can guess?<\/p>\n<p>MAN #2: Uhhh, so, freedom of speech?<\/p>\n<p>PHILLIPS: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>MAN #2: (sputtering) Um, freedom of the press?<\/p>\n<p>PHILLIPS: Yep.<\/p>\n<p>MAN #3: You\u2019re the constitutional lawyer here, man. You got this. Come on, man. You gotta do it!<\/p>\n<p>MAN #2: Ummmm&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>MAN #$3: I\u2019m taking a class in law school right now also. So, dude, no pressure.<\/p>\n<p>MAN #2: Ummmm&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-280910\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Campus-Reform.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"375\" height=\"146\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Campus-Reform.png 375w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Campus-Reform-300x117.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 375px) 100vw, 375px\" \/>RUSH: &#8220;He\u2019s taking that class in law school.&#8221; That must mean somebody\u2019s taking a constitutional law class, but you\u2019re supposed to learn what\u2019s in the First Amendment long before you get to college. And this is&#8230; You know, this is no slouch college. This is Columbia. Here\u2019s the second bite&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>MAN #1: I think the lines are strong when you get offensive trying to end people\u2019s, like, culture.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Wait a minute! Wait, wait, wait, wait. Gotta back to&#8230; He asked a different question on this. If I don\u2019t tell you what the question is, you\u2019re not gonna know what they\u2019re answering. Question: &#8220;Where do you think the line is when something should no longer be protected by the First Amendment?<\/p>\n<p>MAN #1: I think the lines are strong when you get offensive trying to end people\u2019s, like, culture.<\/p>\n<p>WOMAN #1: I don\u2019t think it\u2019s fair for people to use the First Amendment as kind of like, you know, an excuse to say whatever they want. &#8230; I don\u2019t have the right to hurt people.<\/p>\n<p>PHILLIPS: You do, though.<\/p>\n<p>WOMAN: Yeah. I guess. This is all very tricky.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: It\u2019s not tricky! There\u2019s nothing&#8230; This is one of the most easy-to-understand things in all of the Constitution! But did you hear? &#8220;I don\u2019t&#8230; I don\u2019t think that it\u2019s fair for people to use the First Amendment as kind of like, you know, an excuse to say whatever they want. Like, you know, I don\u2019t have the right to hurt people.&#8221; (chuckles) But you do! You have the right to offend them. You see, the thing is, nobody has to listen to you. Do you know how many people confuse that with the First Amendment?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-281848\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/APP-080818-Campus-Reform-Columbia.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/APP-080818-Campus-Reform-Columbia.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/APP-080818-Campus-Reform-Columbia-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/>They think the right to free speech means that people have to listen to you, and they don\u2019t! You have to earn that! &#8220;I think, like, the lines are strong when you go and get offensive, trying to end people\u2019s, like, culture.&#8221; What the hell! You know what that come from. That comes direct from the multicultural curricula that this student has been subjected to probably since middle school. What in the world does the First Amendment, freedom of speech have to do with culture?<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Well, I think, like, the lines are strong when you get offensive, you know, trying to end like people\u2019s, like, culture.&#8221; Who\u2019s ending people\u2019s culture? Except ours! Our culture is what\u2019s under assault, and this babe\u2019s not even in favor of free speech to defend it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RUSH: You know, this is no slouch college.
