RUSH: As you know, the Clintons have been putting pressure on PMSNBC, otherwise known as DNCTV. Chris Matthews had to apologize. Shuster was suspended. Looks like the pressure applied by the Clintons finally has paid off. Let\u2019s go back to Matthews complaining about it just the other day. This is from February 15th, five days ago.<\/p>\n

MATTHEWS: I just don\u2019t think the kneecapping has worked. I think her press relations are lousy. I think if all you do is intimidate and punish and claim you\u2019ll get even relentlessly, people, all kinds of politicians, and in all fairness, the press, human reaction to intimidation is, ‘Screw you.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: Talking about Hillary Clinton there. Now, Chris, I don\u2019t know where you\u2019ve been since 1992. What do you think these people do? All of a sudden it\u2019s aimed at you, and it\u2019s new, it\u2019s never happened before? This is how they have dealt with political opponents since they\u2019ve been in the politics business. Last night on DNCTV, Matthews did Hillary\u2019s bidding, grilling Obama supporter, Texas State Senator Kirk Watson, to name one Obama accomplishment.<\/p>\n

WATSON: I am, yes, I am.<\/p>\n

MATTHEWS: Well, name some of his legislative accomplishments. No, Senator, I want you to name some of Barack Obama\u2019s legislative accomplishments tonight if you can.<\/p>\n

WATSON: Well, I — you know, what I will talk about is more about what he\u2019s offering the American people right now.<\/p>\n

MATTHEWS: No, no, what has he accomplished? Sir, you have to give me his accomplishments. You\u2019ve supported him for president. You\u2019re on national television.<\/p>\n

WATSON: Well —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Name his legislative accomplishments, Barack Obama\u2019s, sir.<\/p>\n

WATSON: Well, I\u2019m not going to be able to name you specific — <\/p>\n

MATTHEWS: Can you name any?<\/p>\n

WATSON: — items of legislative accomplishment.<\/p>\n

MATTHEWS: Can you name anything he\u2019s accomplished as a congressman?<\/p>\n

WATSON: I\u2019m not going to be able to do that tonight.<\/p>\n

RUSH: There aren\u2019t any, which is why. Poor old Kirk Watson there, Democrat, Texas, state senator. He can\u2019t name any because there aren\u2019t any. He tried to say, ‘It isn\u2019t what it\u2019s about, Chris.\u2019 Early in the bite, he said, ‘What I want to talk about is more about what he\u2019s offering the American people,\u2019 which is change and hope. Somebody down the road — I want to warn you people about this, too — somebody down the road is going to have to start criticizing Obama on the Republican side. I don\u2019t know that there\u2019s anybody out there but me that\u2019s going to be willing to do it. And when I start, I want you to look out. I want you to look out for how the cable news networks handle it, taking any comments out of context, imagining my motivation for the conservatism, because there\u2019s a palpable fear out there to criticize this guy, because of the race business, purely and simply because of the race angle, and because he\u2019s got this pied piper-like hold. <\/p>\n

One of the things I find amusing is the Drive-Bys and liberals think that my audience is a bunch of mind-numbed robots. If you want to see a nation full of mind-numbed robots, lemmings ready to go off the cliff, just look at any Obama rally, and you\u2019re looking at the vacant. You want to talk about people with holes in their head, maybe say they\u2019re open-mindedness, to be diplomatic, you\u2019re looking at them at an Obama rally. ‘Rush, now you\u2019re criticizing his people, not him.\u2019 No. This is not criticism. I am analyzing, and I am ‘splaining. I am telling you who they are. They don\u2019t care what he\u2019s saying. I think if you look at that speech last night, look at that crowd, you know, Snerdley, everybody going bonkers over the speech, you look at that audience, do they have any idea what he said? They don\u2019t have a clue. It\u2019s like Kirk Watson, ‘It doesn\u2019t matter what his specific achievements are.\u2019 All right, next sound bite is Hillary in New York City. This is this morning at Hunter College, and she uses the segment that you just heard as a talking point this morning.<\/p>\n

HILLARY: This is becoming more apparent every day, my good friend Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones from Ohio represented me on one of the TV programs in the last day or two. Some of you may have seen her. And she was on against someone representing my opponent. And for the first time actually the host asked the representative of my opponent to name one accomplishment. That is all we\u2019re asking for. We\u2019re asking to compare our records.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Well, Matthews is doing your bidding all of a sudden, after you kneecapped him, and David Shuster. This comes from Clinton, Inc., and you notice how pliable the Drive-Bys are in carrying forward the Clinton strategery, ‘Just name one accomplishment.\u2019 What the Clintons don\u2019t understand is, it\u2019s not about that right now with Barry\u2019s people. It\u2019s not about having accomplished anything. It\u2019s about feeling good. It\u2019s about mattering. It\u2019s about feeling proud of yourself for not having had to do anything but support somebody or show up at a rally. It\u2019s not about his accomplishments — they don\u2019t care. This guy could have come off a sheep farm six months ago and be saying these things and the same thing would be happening. It\u2019s not about the fact he was a community organizer. It\u2019s not about his experience or lack thereof. It\u2019s not about the fact he\u2019s US Senator. It\u2019s not about that at all. It\u2019s about he\u2019s for hope, he\u2019s change, you know, all of these ephemeral things. One more Mrs. Clinton sound bite from her speech last — this is in Youngstown, Ohio, and I think the Nurse Ratched personality was in full bloom. This is the speech they cut away from, by the way, when Obama started.<\/p>\n

HILLARY: I want to talk to you about the choice you have in this election and why that choice matters. It is about picking a president who relies not just on words, but on work, on hard work to get America back to work. That\u2019s our goal! You know, when I think about what we\u2019re really comparing in this election, you know, we can\u2019t just have speeches, we got to have solutions, and we need those solutions for America. We\u2019ve gotta get America back in the solutions business. Because while words matter, the best words in the world aren\u2019t enough unless you match them with action.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Match these people up side by side, Mrs. Clinton and Obama, it\u2019s not even close. Folks, this woman, how long ago was it, Mr. Snerdley, I said this? She can\u2019t do anything right. The last six months. She can\u2019t do anything right. Cookie, search our transcript archives, find out when the first time I — I don\u2019t care what it is, she can\u2019t do anything right. She hasn\u2019t done anything right since she was first lady of Arkansas. She didn\u2019t do anything right handling the bimbo eruptions, the Paula Jones case, Monica — cannot run a campaign against a rookie community organizer. You know, it\u2019s serious time here for the Clintons. It isn\u2019t over, but I think they need to seriously consider getting back to what got them there. You\u2019ve heard the old saw that you dance with the one that brung you. I know you people think I\u2019m being really over the top here. But they\u2019re misusing Bill Clinton. Have him out there on the campaign, that\u2019s a guaranteed loser, too. Look at history. People he goes out there, campaigns for, he ends up hurting. Clinton needs to be caught having an affair. Preferably the younger the better, needs to get caught. She\u2019s the most cheated on woman in the world, and that\u2019s why she\u2019s in this place in the first place, because there\u2019s sympathy. She needs to have somebody start feeling sorry for her again rather than looking at her as an incompetent Nurse Ratched.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: So Mrs. Clinton is out there saying, we want to know his accomplishments. We want to know what Barry\u2019s done. Mrs. Clinton, what have you done? How long has this campaign featured the line, ‘I\u2019ve been fighting for X for 35 years?\u2019 Mrs. Clinton, you and your husband were in the White House for eight years. You are complaining about the same things needing to be done today that you complained about in 1992 in that campaign, meaning you didn\u2019t do anything. He can turn it right around on you, ‘Mrs. Clinton, what did you do?\u2019 ‘I fought for children.\u2019 ‘Well, where are the children that you helped? Haven\u2019t seen \u2019em come forward here, say, ‘Mrs. Clinton straightened my life out, Hillary Clinton\u2019s the one who made me who I am today.” Where are the women that she\u2019s helped? She\u2019s one to be talking about experience. Wait \u2019til you hear this ad, Mrs. Clinton\u2019s latest commercial, audio sound bite. She claims that she\u2019s worked the night shift, too.<\/p>\n

ANNOUNCER: You pour coffee, fix hair, work the night shift at the local hospital. You are overworked, underpaid, and sometimes overlooked. But not by everyone. One candidate has put forth the American family agenda to make things easier for everyone who works so hard. Universal health care, increased day care, and help with elder care. She understands. She has worked the night shift, too.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. And they have a picture of her at night in an office. She wants to compare actually working a shift at a hospital? The graveyard shift at a factory? Yes, she does. That\u2019s what she\u2019s trying to do here. Would somebody tell me what a federal government family agenda is? My friends, I myself have no immediate family on purpose and by design. But if I did, the last thing in the world I would want is to have to go to some government center to find out how I\u2019m supposed to do it or where I\u2019m supposed to go for here or where I\u2019m supposed to go for that. I don\u2019t know about you, but my mom and dad did a pretty decent job raising my brother and I, and without all of this garbage. Elder care, senior care, child care, animal care, veterinarian care, 12 weeks paid time off from — none of that. And I\u2019ll bet it was the case for a lot of your families, too. If somebody had told you along the way that you did have to go to some government place so the family agenda would be taken care of, it would have revolted you. The woman cannot do anything right. She just cannot and has never been able to demonstrate that she has been able to do anything right. It\u2019s so patently, brazenly honest — losing to a rookie, community organizer! Rookie. Nothing wrong with community organizers, but I mean it\u2019s not the route most people take to get to the White House. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
