RUSH: Now back to the audio sound bites, ladies and gentlemen. Mrs. Clinton. Howard Dean said — we had the audio earlier — the way to avoid all of this chaos is just end this. Howard Dean said, ‘We can\u2019t go to the convention like this. We cannot go to the convention without a nominee.\u2019 So on Good Morning America today on ABC, the cohost Chris Cuomo interviewed Hillary, and he said, ‘If you go to the convention, good for the Democrats, bad for the Democrats?\u2019 meaning if she goes, without having conceded?<\/p>\n

HILLARY: Well, it would be, uh, a real convention, unlike what we\u2019ve had for recent conventions where the decisions were already known before people ever showed up. You know, this would be why you elect delegates. We come out with a nominee, with a unified party and take off from there.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ha! We hope for that. We hope that she gets exactly what she wants. We hope that they get a convention with all these battles. But the idea they\u2019re going to come out of there unified? It\u2019s only April 22nd. Their convention is — May, June, July, August — four months away! Can you imagine four more months of this kind of chaos? Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we can make this happen. If we hang together — and if we do the right thing, if we do the right stuff — we can keep this going. Yes, we can. Si se puede! Yes, we can keep this going — and Obama is in the middle of falling apart right now. He really is, folks. They\u2019re trying to cover this up. Look, Hillary is going to have to win this. So I don\u2019t want to you to be worried about sustaining this through the convention. She\u2019s going to have to win in landslide proportions to even have a chance at changing the minds of the superdelegates. The odds that she\u2019s going to win landslide proportions — she may win big today. We don\u2019t really know in Pennsylvania. However, in North Carolina, there are a lot of people who think… <\/p>\n

You know, everybody is all excited here about what\u2019s happening in Pennsylvania, but North Carolina is really the key to this. I find it interesting that the people say the next state is always the key. But some learned political scientists in North Carolina say North Carolina really is the do-or-die state for Mrs. Clinton because Obama is up. Obama\u2019s polling is way up there. If she can pare that down — if she could tie Obama in North Carolina after he\u2019s had this double-digit lead for all this time; if she could eke out a win — we\u2019re talking momentum here; and what it would represent is that the bloom is off the rose of the messianic Barack Obama. So there\u2019s a lot here that can still happen, ladies and gentlemen, and Operation Chaos is at the center of all of this. So here\u2019s Mrs. Clinton suggesting, ‘No, I want to go to the convention. That\u2019s what conventions are for,\u2019 and then on the Today Show today, she\u2019s making the rounds, Ann Curry. Do you feel the playing field has not been level because you are a woman?<\/p>\n

HILLARY: It is like Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire. You know, I have to do everything Fred does only backwards and in high heels. The most pervasive form of discrimination in the world — no matter what the ethnicity, the race, the religion of people who live in any society — is discrimination against women.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (groans) Oh, man. She was on such a roll and then she has to resort to playing the victim card again. She hasn\u2019t had on a pair of high heels since Gennifer Flowers was hosting Bill Clinton in her trailer back in Little Rock. She hasn\u2019t had on a pair of high heels in 25 years. Have you seen her in high heels anywhere? I mean, even at the White House in these formal balls and gowns, got a floor length dress, do you think she\u2019s wearing high he\u2019s like under that? Ha-ha-ha. I shouldn\u2019t say this so I won\u2019t say what I was going — (interruption) Nope, nope, I\u2019m not going to. (Whispers: There isn\u2019t a pair made that would work.) Anyway, the sympathy card, here. ‘The most rampant form of discrimination in any society is discrimination against women.\u2019 I hope our EIB brothers and sisters in the hood heard that sound bite from Mrs. Clinton. Play this again. This is audio sound bite number 12, Ann Curry of the Today Show, says, ‘Do you feel the playing field has not been level because you are a woman?\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: (sigh) Neither of these two are sounding presidential. They\u2019re both portraying themselves as victims, and, ‘Gee, they\u2019re victims of unfairness and mean-spirited people, racists and sexists and so forth and so on.\u2019 She then went over to CBS to the Early Show. Harry Smith interviewed her. His question was this: ‘Senator Obama says that your basic view about this election is say anything, do anything; special interest driven. Elect her because she\u2019s been in Washington longer and knows how to play the game.\u2019<\/p>\n

HILLARY: (cackle) Yeah, I\u2019ve heard him say that quite a bit. Now, hmm! It sounds a little negative to me. (cackle) Look, he has every right to say whatever he\u2019s going to say in his campaign. But I don\u2019t think that\u2019s what people want to hear. What people want to hear —<\/p>\n

SMITH: But the argument is, status quo versus —<\/p>\n

HILLARY: Well, but —<\/p>\n

SMITH: — something else.<\/p>\n

HILLARY: You know, I represent the most significant change you could have. A woman president? This is earth shaking!<\/p>\n

RUSH: And so here we have it once again, identity politics reigns supreme. She would be ‘earth shaking\u2019 because she\u2019s a woman. So in our sound bite today of Mrs. Clinton we\u2019ve had the screech, which we haven\u2019t heard in months from Mrs. Clinton. We heard the cackle here twice in one sound bite. We haven\u2019t heard the cackle in a couple of months, maybe three. That cackle, by the way, there\u2019s a species in Arkansas that makes the same noise. It\u2019s called the Arkansas Broadbeam, and it makes a very similar sounding noise. So she\u2019s cackled twice. She has had the screech — you know, your ex-wife, two ex-wives screech — and now the whine.
