RUSH: We have a 12-year-old on the phone from Belton, Texas. This is Ben. Nice to have you with us, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hello, Mr. Limbaugh.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, today I have been doing research over global warming, and actually anybody can do this. Half the information you can find off of elementary school textbooks, and actually global warming isn\u2019t very statistically correct, and it\u2019s causing too many problems in DC and the House and everything, and they want to do ethanol, but that\u2019s just changing the currency and it\u2019s not very far producer yet, and it hasn\u2019t gotten that well yet but they want to change it already, and I just don\u2019t think that\u2019s very wise.<\/line><\/a>RUSH: You are very wise young man. So you\u2019ve, on your own, independently researched global warming and you\u2019ve found the principle of ‘manmade\u2019 global warming, and you don\u2019t believe it?<\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s very correct, Mr. Limbaugh. Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I like that ‘very correct.\u2019 That means you are solidly convinced of your own research.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, good. Now, what are you going to do about it?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, actually, I\u2019ve tried to share it around with the most people I could, so we can get it out so that hopefully we can convince the global warmists that actually it\u2019s not anything.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ben, do you actually talk about things like global warming to your friends who are also your age?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: How did, at age 12, outside of your parents — I\u2019m sure they\u2019re interested in it — become aware of the issue to the point that you wanted to research it on your own?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, actually I was supposed to make a speech in a speech and debate class, so I had to pick a topic, and so that was the one I picked.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So you\u2019re supposed to make a speech in a speech class, you had to pick a topic and that was the one you picked. Have you, for example, been made to watch the movie by former Vice President Algore, An Inconvenient Truth?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I haven\u2019t been necessarily forced to watch it. I mean, I haven\u2019t watched it, either, but —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, if you want some entertainment, you should watch it. That would be great for your research, to see how they lie about the lack of ice for polar bears and so forth. It would be great for your research. The reason I ask you that is because where I live, a lot of grade school kids are being made to watch the movie, and if their parents don\u2019t show up and watch, too, the kids are being threatened with cuts in their grades. So I thought that might be happening where you are. But your friends care about it as much as you do?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, actually, lately moved. I haven\u2019t made that many friends yet, but the friends that I used to have —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — were in public school. I\u2019m homeschooled, and actually they thought the complete opposite, so it made some good debates.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I see. This explains a lot. (laughs) It makes a good debate. Well, you know what? I hope that you hold onto your interest in things like this. And I hope you continue to do your research in this, \u2019cause people like you, when you grow up, you know, you\u2019re going to have a very powerful role in what kind of country this is. I just I think it\u2019s great that you care about this at age 12, and I think it\u2019s fascinating that you have discovered the truth of it on your own. I congratulate you. I\u2019m proud of you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you, sir, and — <\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. <\/p>\n

CALLER: should I go ahead?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Do you…? Oh, what do you mean, ‘Should I go ahead\u2019?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m sorry. What?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Were you finished with what you had to say?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, well, I was just going to mention that actually I plan to get into the politics and become a representative and the run for president in 2032, and I\u2019d appreciate your vote. Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me see. 2032. This is 2008, so that\u2019s 24 more years, 57 and 24. I\u2019ll be your vice president.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, thank you, sir!<\/p>\n

RUSH: Either that or I\u2019ll be your press secretary.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I\u2019d be honored to have you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Absolutely. Well, I\u2019d be honored to work for you, as you run for president. Ben, thanks much. All the best and don\u2019t change.<\/p>\n

CALLER: You, too.<\/p>\n
