RUSH: Brooklyn. This is Cheryl. It\u2019s great to have you on the program, Cheryl. Welcome to the EIB Network.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. How are you?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Just fine.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Very quickly, I\u2019m really surprised that you seem to be shocked to learn that the emperor Obama has no clothes. You mentioned early on about him stammering his way through speeches and through interviews lately, making all these very strange comments, but he\u2019s always been that way. From the very beginning he\u2019s never been able to speak extemporaneously. He only shines when he has a script in front of him or a teleprompter. During the Democratic debates he never said one thing that was eloquent or intellectually brilliant, never. We\u2019ve all been just snookered — well, those of you who have been snookered. Not me.<\/p>\n

RUSH: This is true. Now, you\u2019re being a little hard on me here because I thought for a long time that the guy is not what they have presented him as, and that is a brilliant, independent thinker. I think that he is a sponge. I think he has learned well and he can recite what he\u2019s been taught, but he\u2019s not a thinker. He doesn\u2019t come up with original ideas. He recites a bunch of talking points and bilge and drivel that his professors and Jeremiah Wright and all these people have hammered into him all of his life. During those debates, you have to understand, liberals have a different definition of IQ. They call it EQ, and that\u2019s the emotional quotient. It doesn\u2019t matter how smart because they already think that they\u2019re smarter than anybody else. They never worry that their candidate is an actual dunce. It\u2019s not possible in their minds. So they have this EQ, the emotional quotient, which they calculate as how capable is he of reaching out and touching and feeling people\u2019s pain. Clinton had a high EQ. Oprah has a high EQ, and Obama has a high EQ. I agree with you, I\u2019m watching that\u2019s debates, and the guy is saying nothing, but he said it better than anybody else ever did, which is why people thought he was smart.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, Rush, listen. Let me tell you why they thought he was smart. Because he was an African-American — I\u2019m an African-American, okay? He was an African-American, and so the liberal media wanted you to think, ‘Oh, here he is, he\u2019s black, he went to Harvard, he must be smart.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Let\u2019s not take the time to actually analyze anything that he\u2019s saying, because if we do that, then, gee, we might be racist — <\/p>\n

RUSH: Exactly right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — black and he went to Harvard —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right!<\/p>\n

CALLER: — so he must be brilliant. But I\u2019m so sick of this, I don\u2019t know what to do, I really am. Thank God for Sarah Palin. And one of the things that\u2019s really illuminating the true Barack Obama right now is that she is so diametrically opposite of what he is. She is someone who can speak off the cuff because she does believe what she says because she does know what she\u2019s talking about.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Exactly right. Every time Joe Biden thinks about Sarah Palin, he wets his pants.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Absolutely.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Because has a got this big debate coming up October 2nd. You know, Biden is out there, (paraphrasing) ‘No, I\u2019m not worried about this. You ever debated Barbara Mikulski? I have. You ever debated Olympia Snowe? I have. You ever debated some of these female senators, I have. I\u2019m not worried about debating her.\u2019 He is, too. He is tremendously worried. And this is why I said earlier, Obama, they have to run an ad to respond to specific charges from the McCain campaign because Obama cannot take to the stump and refute it. (doing Obama impression) ‘Well, uh, uh, take a — you know, uh, global warming, uh, that\u2019s not just a bunch of tree hugger liberal stuff, you know what I mean? I\u2019m not going to take that anymore.\u2019<\/p>\n

CALLER: Stumbling and bumbling, because that is who he is, essentially. You know, he looked good, he sounded good. This is the liberal Democrats final time. For a white liberal Democrat — and I know them intimately because I live in their natural habitat of New York, okay?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: So for this —<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s a great way to put it. The natural habitat — (both laughing) Cheryl, I love that, the natural habitat. When are you going to move out of Brooklyn?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Rush, no, listen. I live in a beautiful area of Brooklyn, but I have actually had whites say to me, ‘How dare you be a conservative Republican.\u2019 I\u2019ve actually had them say that to me. And they said, ‘All these years we worked so hard for your rights, and here you are, how dare you be a conservative Republican,\u2019 and I said, ‘Well, gee whiz I didn\u2019t realize you were working to give me the right to think the way you want me to think.\u2019 I am an independent thinker. I make my own decisions. If I see someone who —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Exactly right. They are the Stepford people. They are the ones who are programmed, walking in lockstep. Well, you\u2019re great, Cheryl. I hope we hear from you more as the election approaches, the election season goes on. Thanks very much. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
