RUSH: What happened yesterday with the situation in New York, the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, where they disinvited Sarah Palin after Hillary refused to appear with her. Malcolm Hoenlein runs that organization and Malcolm Hoenlein is a friend of mine. Malcolm Hoenlein is the man who arranged and accompanied me on that wonderful trip to Israel that I had in 1993. I think what\u2019s happened here, the George Soros people are taking credit for shutting this down. The George Soros people are sending e-mails all over to each other, ‘We did it! We did it! We did it! We shafted AIPAC,\u2019 meaning the Jewish lobbying firm, American Israel Public Affairs Committee in Washington. Soros, a huge anti-Semite even though he\u2019s Jewish himself. But their idea was to get Palin out of there because she\u2019s so overshadowing everybody. Hillary pulled out. Hillary pulled out because she didn\u2019t want to appear with somebody wearing a skirt. I\u2019m not kidding. She didn\u2019t want to appear with somebody wearing a skirt. Hillary\u2019s excuse was, ‘She doesn\u2019t have my stature, why should I show up with her?\u2019 Here\u2019s the real question, and forget Malcolm Hoenlein and his bunch for a second here. <\/p>\n

We hear from the Democrats, particularly Obama, that we need unity, and we\u2019re going to unify this country, we\u2019re going to make the world love us again. Now, what this was was a protest over Iran. Now, I\u2019ve known Malcolm since 1993, 15 years, and all of this talk about terrorism, for all this time, Malcolm Hoenlein and his organization have been zeroing in on Iran. They know and are trying to get the word out that Iran is the official state sponsor of terrorism in the Middle East and around the world. Al-Qaeda, satellite operations and so forth, they\u2019re all together, but Iran\u2019s there funding a lot of these people, has been for a long time, long before even Mahmoud Ahmadinejad came on the scene. But here\u2019s the point of all this. I mean, you get mad of the group chickening out and not wanting any partisan politics there. If this country, if the Democrat Party and its extreme kook fringe cannot even unify, if we can\u2019t stand as one against the threat by Iran, then what the hell can we unify on? Why the hell should we be worried about the crossing the aisle and trying to break bread, make contact, find some sort of commonality with people like this, who would rather embarrass Sarah Palin and deny her a chance to show up and protest Iran or this group, the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, what is there that we have in common with these people? How do you compromise with people who hate the country? How do you compromise with people who want this country to lose military conflicts? The Soros crowd, the far left, how do you compromise with them? Why do you want to walk across the aisle and meet \u2019em halfway or even partial way? Why don\u2019t you instead just want to wipe \u2019em out politically? Well, that\u2019s what you and I want to do, and this of course is what we will continue to focus on. <\/p>\n

RUSH: One thing, uh, ladies and gentlemen, here about the cancellation of the Sarah Palin invitation, or the rescinding of it by the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations, this is an anti-Iran rally that\u2019s scheduled for Monday, and they invited Hillary, and Hillary was going to go, she\u2019s a big friend of the organization. Then they invited Palin, and that\u2019s when Hillary pulled out. Hillary pulled out on her own. When Hillary pulled out, it meant that Palin would be the last woman standing in terms of representing a political party. That\u2019s when the Soros-Obama team went into action and started putting pressure on the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations, and there are two other groups that are doing this, the National Coalition to Stop Iran Now, and the Israel Project. <\/p>\n

Now, they\u2019re protesting Iran and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. So they get Palin off of there, and now they\u2019re talking about, well, it\u2019s finally worked, what a great thing, we have a bipartisan event, or nonpartisan. Now, for his purposes, McCain said that Obama chose politics rather than the national interest by sidestepping the opportunity for a bipartisan stand against Iran\u2019s nuclear drive. Obama won\u2019t go there. Obama won\u2019t show up at this thing. Obama will not appear publicly at a protest against Iran. ‘McCain leveled the charge after the organizers of the ‘Stop Iran Now\u2019 rally, planned for next Monday in New York City, withdrew an invitation to his running mate, Gov. Sarah Palin, following appeals by Democrats. ‘Governor Palin was pleased to accept an invitation to address this rally and show her resolve on this grave national security issue,\u2019 McCain said in a statement. ‘Regrettably that invitation has since been withdrawn under pressure from Democratic partisans. We stand shoulder to shoulder with Republicans, Democrats and independents alike to oppose [President Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad\u2019s goal of a nuclear armed Iran. Senator Obama\u2019s campaign had the opportunity to join us. Senator Obama chose politics rather than the national interest.\u2019<\/p>\n

He\u2019s exactly right. What Senator Obama knows is that Sarah Palin\u2019s the hottest ticket in town right now, and anybody who stands next to her is going to pale in comparison, even Obama, if he were to show up, even The Messiah. So the great unifiers, they can\u2019t even come together in solidarity opposing a nuclear Iran. But there\u2019s another little story here that has tentacles that touch this one. I want to pass that story on to you, ladies and gentlemen. There is a woman by the name of Penny Pritzker. Penny Pritzker is an heiress to the Hyatt hotel fortune. Penny Pritzker was one of the organizers of the $9 million Hollywood fundraiser for Obama earlier this week. Penny Pritzker, I am told, is hosting a reception for Ahmadinejad at the Grand Hyatt in New York, Grand Central Station, when Ahmadinejad is here to address the United Nations General Assembly. <\/p>\n

Now, I haven\u2019t been able to confirm this. I\u2019ve seen it in three different places, but I haven\u2019t been able to confirm it. But if this is true, here you have Penny Pritzker, who\u2019s raising money and organizing things for Obama, Obama refuses to go to an anti-Iran rally and won\u2019t let anybody from the campaign show up there, so Sarah Palin gets disinvited. And then later this month, when Mahmoud comes to address the UN General Assembly, she\u2019s hosting a reception for him at the Grand Hyatt hotel in New York. Now, this is not unusual. The last time Fidel Castro was here, Mort Zuckerman hosted a lunch at his apartment in New York and invited a bunch of New York media types to go. A friend of mine went and asked Castro, ‘Do you believe in God?\u2019 He got a 30-minute rambling answer reminiscent of Obama, but did not get an answer. So this is not unprecedented that New York and Chicago elites would — it\u2019s like last year, Ahmadinejad was invited to Columbia University. I don\u2019t think they intended anybody to know this is happening. It\u2019s not widely known that this is happening. <\/p>\n

As I say, I\u2019ve heard it from three different places and people that I know and trust very well. But I haven\u2019t seen anything official on it, like you say. There hasn\u2019t been a press release that I have seen or anything like this, but if it\u2019s true, if it\u2019s true, this is an amazing thing for one of Obama\u2019s big fundraisers to be hosting a reception for Ahmadinejad. Not that Obama is going to be there, don\u2019t misunderstand, I don\u2019t know who\u2019s going, I don\u2019t know who\u2019s invited to the damn thing, but one of the organizers raising money for Obama, doing a reception for Ahmadinejad, and Obama can\u2019t bother to send somebody to an anti-Iran rally. And, by the way, Obama is out there trying to prove to the Jewish community that he\u2019s with them, that even though he\u2019s taking funds from Hamas or Hezbollah, whoever, that he still sides with Israel and so forth. This is all highly convoluted stuff out there. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me clear something up. Now, this is the fourth bit of information I\u2019ve had on this reception for Ahmadinejad at the Grand Hyatt in New York later this month when Ahmadinejad is here for the UN — now I\u2019m being told there\u2019s no evidence that Penny Pritzker knew about this, but she does own the Grand Hyatt. Apparently there\u2019s no that evidence Penny Pritzker knew about it. The invitation to this reception is called, ‘Has not one God created us?\u2019, and Quakers and Mennonites are the ones who have invited Ahmadinejad to the meeting, is what I am now hearing.
