That is your mistake! We\u2019re propping up individuals. The world doesn\u2019t consist of companies. The world are people. (sic) The country is people. And, uh, yes, it is possible to argue that the government can stay out &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>STAHL: Then you\u2019re talking about welfare.<\/p>\n<p>FRANK: Yaaaah. I\u2019m for welfare. You\u2019re not? Are you for letting people starve?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/paulshanklin.com\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125108.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"431\" class=\"alignright\"\/><\/a>RUSH: All right, now, I realize I may have to translate this for you. Were you able to understand what he said there, Dawn? A lot of people weren\u2019t. Barney Frank said in answer to the question, &#8216;No, we\u2019re not propping up companies. That\u2019s your mistake. We\u2019re propping up individuals. The world doesn\u2019t consist of companies. The world is people. The country is people &#8212; and, yes, it is possible to argue that the government&#8230;\u2019 Lesley Stahl says, &#8216;Well, then you\u2019re talking about welfare.\u2019 Barney Frank says, &#8216;Yeah, I\u2019m for welfare. You\u2019re not? Are you for letting people starve?\u2019 So you see, Barney, he\u2019s not afraid to be honest \u2019cause he\u2019s untouchable. This is about the union. There are no companies. There are no organizations. <\/p>\n<p>There are just people, and they exist to get money to Washington. All money is Washington\u2019s. It all belongs to Barney Frank to do with as he sees fit because he\u2019s smarter than everybody else about this. But when, of course, there are &#8216;obscene profits\u2019 to be discussed, ladies and gentlemen &#8212; such as big oil company obscene profits &#8212; why all of a sudden there are companies in Barney Frank\u2019s world. When there are obscene profits, companies around about people. They are about companies, and they are evil, and we have got to punish them! We have got to steal from them and we have got to make sure that they realize they don\u2019t run things, that we do. But here when you have General Motors and Ford and Chrysler, they\u2019re not companies. They\u2019re just people! This, ladies and gentlemen, honesty and the straightforwardness of America\u2019s Banking Queen, Barney Frank, Massachusetts. <\/p>\n<p>(playing of Banking Queen song) <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: There are no companies (except when they\u2019re Big Oil). There are just people, on welfare.
