CALLER: Hello.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (giggles) Well, merry Christmas — <\/p>\n

RUSH: Same to you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — Generation Dittohead. My father would say, if he knew I was talking to you on a telephone, that I better make this good. I\u2019m in agreeance with you on Blago\u2019s situation, but I do have to say that quite doubtful I don\u2019t buy it when Obama says he has absolutely nothing to do with it. I think we\u2019re playing elementary school games here, kind of like, ‘Bobo told Barry, you know, ‘If I give you my Fruit Roll-Up would you be my best friend?\u2019 He said, ‘Sure,\u2019 and he took it and now he\u2019s just kind of left sitting there.\u2019 (giggles) So I think he\u2019s kinda gotten out of luck there somehow, and something might have been promised and didn\u2019t come through.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So you think the notion that Obama knows nothing about this is asking a bit much to be believed?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hooey. Yeah. (giggles) I would say so.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, I\u2019m happy to hear you say this. Do you know why?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Why?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Because you\u2019re exhibiting common sense, and do you know how few people do? We\u2019ve gotten to the point where the truth is staring us right in the face and people say, ‘It can\u2019t be,\u2019 because we\u2019ve been lied to so much by the Drive-By Media. We don\u2019t know what to believe, including the truth. When the truth is right in front of us, or something — this may not be an established truth yet, but, for crying out loud! Everybody in this cesspool is tainted for years, and one guy, who was spawned by this cesspool —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Sure.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — has not been touched by it?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I know.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And somehow people find that easier to believe? So I\u2019m honored. I\u2019m flattered that somebody with common sense like you is in this audience.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think it\u2019s absolutely… I\u2019m almost crazy, you know, borderline crazy for people who just turn their heads the way that they\u2019ve been.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, we really can\u2019t do anything about it. I don\u2019t know people are turning their heads. What it is, Angelique (one of my all-time, top ten favorite female names, by the way).<\/p>\n

CALLER: (giggles)<\/p>\n

RUSH: What it is, is that people don\u2019t want to face this kind of stuff now. Barry hasn\u2019t even been inaugurated. ‘Don\u2019t hit me with this. I don\u2019t want to deal with it. I want to stay lost in the illusion of hope and change —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — and receding sea levels and all these things. Nobody hating America. I want to live in my cocoon, my warm little cocoon! Don\u2019t hit me with these things. I don\u2019t even want to confront it,\u2019 and that\u2019s where they are.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, this year was certainly a very interesting election year for us as we\u2019re kind of out flapping in the breeze with our family, so it made for a very interesting Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What, are you one of the few conservatives in your family?<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughs) Well, my husband comes from one of the union-backed Democratic families in Pennsylvania, and his father worked for a very large company and union and all that. So…<\/p>\n

RUSH: You and your husband, how long have you been married? <\/p>\n

CALLER: We\u2019ve been married for 11 years now.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And has he always been (ahem) of this, shall we say, persuasion and you\u2019ve always been of your persuasion?<\/p>\n

CALLER: You know, I want to say, in the last five years, I guess I finally rubbed off on him and he started… You know, he started actually… Now he knows more than I do.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So the divide is not nearly as wide as it has been? <\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, my husband and I, we\u2019ve come to see eye-to-eye on things, and he went digging for himself.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ah, but it\u2019s the rest of the family. What are you doing for Christmas?<\/p>\n

CALLER: (giggles)<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019ve got 30 seconds left. What are you doing for Christmas?<\/p>\n

CALLER: We\u2019re going to go and I\u2019m going to tell them, you know, ‘Let\u2019s all be considerate, because it\u2019s the holidays and we don\u2019t all agree.\u2019 (chuckles)<\/p>\n

RUSH: What you want to tell \u2019em is… I don\u2019t know. They all voted Obama. You ought to say, ‘Why are you people so irritable?\u2019<\/p>\n

CALLER: (chuckles)<\/p>\n

RUSH: ‘Why are you so mad? Why do you want to get so mad at me? Your guy won! It\u2019s the holidays. It\u2019s Christmas! Better times are just around the corner. Why aren\u2019t you happy?\u2019 That\u2019s what I would ask \u2019em, were I you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
