RUSH: Hey, folks, have you heard about the latest tape from the number two man at Al-Qaeda? Ayman al-Zawahiri lashed out at President-elect Obama. In a message yesterday, Ayman al-Zawahiri of Al-Qaeda accused Obama of ‘not doing anything to stop Israel\u2019s offensive in the Gaza Strip. The recording purportedly by Ayman al-Zawahiri was al-Qaida\u2019s first comments on the Gaza crisis since Israel launched its offensive against the Islamic militants of Hamas on Dec. 27. Zawahiri described Israel\u2019s actions in Gaza as a ‘crusade against Islam and Muslims\u2019 and called it ‘Obama\u2019s gift to Israel\u2019 before he takes office later this month. ‘This is Obama whom the American machine of lies tried to portray as the rescuer who will change the policy of America. He kills your brothers and sisters in Gaza mercilessly and without affection.” That\u2019s what Zawahiri said to his troops and his followers about Obama. Obama kills your brothers and sisters in Gaza. <\/p>\n

Now, poor old Barry, the Bamster, has been doing everything he can since commenting on the Mumbai disaster to stay out of foreign policy. He didn\u2019t want to get caught up in the Middle East crossfire before the Immaculate Inauguration, Zawahiri blaming Obama for this. Zawahiri himself misunderstanding the need for an Immaculate Inauguration. I mean that day — I hope it hasn\u2019t been forever tarnished already — that day, the Immaculate Inauguration, was supposed to be sacred, an unblemished moment. The problem, though, through his silence on this, Obama has appeared to have chosen sides. Obama has blessed — obviously he\u2019s The Messiah — the Israeli response by not commenting on it. That\u2019s how the militant Islamist Al-Qaeda crowd is hearing this. He hasn\u2019t said a word; he must be blessing Israel in this. Now he\u2019s got conflict when he didn\u2019t want to get caught up in all of this. <\/p>\n

An NBC truth-teller, ladies and gentlemen, the Ann Coulter controversy, NBC truth-teller actually had the stupidity to tell Matt Drudge that NBC Today Show viewers were not to be troubled by nonbelievers in Obama at this point in time. Bliss was not to be disturbed. The Immaculate Inauguration was not to be disturbed. So Richardson was a distraction, Blago a distraction, living quarters for the Obamas a distraction — oh, we now know who\u2019s in Blair House, by the way, keeping Obama out. John Howard, the former premier, prime minister, whatever they call them down there, of Australia. Hubba hubba. A distraction is anything that threatens to dim the glow of the Immaculate Inauguration of Barack Obama. This has gotta be a blow, to have Al-Qaeda come out against you a few days before you\u2019re inaugurated. In fact, Obama today was asked about Israel once again. Chuck Todd, NBC, ‘The situation in Gaza is getting worse out there, fighting\u2019s resumed this morning. When are you gonna talk about? What are you going to do about it?\u2019<\/p>\n

OBAMA: We can\u2019t have two administrations running foreign policy at the same time. Until I take office, it would be imprudent of me to start sending out signals that somehow we are running foreign policy when I am not legally authorized to do so.<\/p>\n

TODD: Are you worried that the Palestinians, though, are interpreting your silence in —<\/p>\n

OBAMA: Chuck, as a — you know, there are — I can\u2019t control how people interpret, uh, what I\u2019m saying, other than to repeat what I\u2019ve said, and hope that they hear what I\u2019m say, uh — hear my message.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Hold it. Stop the tape. Barry, it\u2019s not what you said \u2019cause you\u2019re not saying anything, old buddy, old pal. They\u2019re interpreting your silence, and that\u2019s what Chuck Todd asked you. Do you understand the Palestinians are interpreting by virtue of your silence, and then Barry interrupted him, he says I can only say what I\u2019m saying. You\u2019re not saying anything about it, Barry, and that\u2019s what everybody\u2019s curious about here.<\/p>\n

OBAMA: The silence is not as a consequence of a lack of concern. In fact, it\u2019s not silence. I\u2019ve explained very clearly exactly what institutional constraints I\u2019m under when it comes to this issue.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I guess, ladies and gentlemen, we can have two presidents at one time on the economy, and we can have two presidents at one time on who\u2019s going to be in the Senate. We can\u2019t have two presidents at one time on Hamas and the Israelis.
