First-time caller, long time listener. It\u2019s actually Pennsylvania, but I started listening to you in Chico, California, back in 1990. However, you made an impact on my life. You told me &#8212; you told everyone &#8212; be your own man. Never rely on government for anything in your life. Get up, go to work every day, work hard, make a difference; and, you know, it will happen. I remember you saying your grandfather never cashed Social Security checks because he never wanted money from the government. And I believe that everybody goes through a level of prosperity in their life, but if you work hard every single day and make a difference, you move up those levels of prosperity, and things will come true. It\u2019s the American way, it\u2019s Newton\u2019s Law in this country, and why liberals want to create a utopian dream when it already exists.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, not to them because they\u2019re not in charge of it. <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I know. (chuckles)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: But, you know, I want to thank you. You remember 19 years ago, he said he remembers me saying, &#8216;Don\u2019t depend on the government or anybody else for anything. Make it yourself. Don\u2019t be obligated to anybody.\u2019 I almost feel like I ought to apologize to you, now, though.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Because you went out there and did that, now you\u2019re a target of the very government I told you not to pay any attention to!<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: That\u2019s right, and I was 18-year-olds, and I\u2019m furious. I\u2019m an investing advisor, and I\u2019m saying, &#8216;Invest Roths because you better pay your taxes today, because we\u2019re going to pay for it down the road. There\u2019s no question about it.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, no. See, not everybody has to pay taxes now either.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: That\u2019s true.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: At least not on time.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: That\u2019s true.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (laughing) Anyway, look it, Sean, I appreciate the call. That\u2019s really nice. Nineteen years ago he remembers me. You know, I do these pep talks frequently.
