RUSH: We had a previous caller, the 9\/11 Commission<\/a>, somebody to deflect criticism away from Trump. That isn\u2019t gonna happen. Folks, the criticism of us, the criticism of conservatism, the criticism of the Republicans is never gonna stop. It\u2019s never gonna stop from the Democrats. It\u2019s never gonna stop from the media. Trying to deflect it, while admirable, is not the way to deal with it.<\/p>\n

So what is? Well, my objective all along has been to inform and educate as many people as possible to it so that they can reject it like I do! So they can reject it like I do. Which is why I get so ticked off when I run into people \u2013 it doesn\u2019t happen as much anymore, but I\u2019ve told you the stories. I get so ticked off when I run into people who want to change policy or change candidates because of what the media is saying about it.<\/p>\n

“Well, Rush, we can\u2019t beat \u2019em at all, man. We gotta get rid of Sarah Palin. The media is destroying her.” Where is defending Sarah Palin? Would you ever think about that? Did you ever think about defending Sarah Palin to people who might have the wrong idea? “No, Rush, I can\u2019t do that. We just gotta dump her. We gotta get somebody in there the media can\u2019t destroy.” Well, I\u2019m sorry, but that\u2019s defense for life, and that\u2019s never gonna win anything.<\/p>\n

And I have the same attitude about all this. Let me read a manifesto to you from one of these shooters, \u2018cause I just addressed this. It is my contention that they\u2019re out there blaming Trump and white nationalism — there is no white nationalism party. There is no white nationalism in the Republican Party. There\u2019s no white nationalism in Trump, and, yet look, it has become as common as the word water or sun or day and night.<\/p>\n

White nationalism, white supremacy, and it doesn\u2019t exist in any meaningful, substantive form that would have any relationship to politics. None whatsoever. But yet Charlottesville and a Trump rally, responsible for all of this? Meanwhile, these are the people that are out there literally scaring young people to death, that there isn\u2019t gonna be a planet by the time they reach middle-age.<\/p>\n

Let me read from a manifesto. “The decimation of the environment is creating a massive burden for future generations. Corporations are heading the destruction of our environment by shamelessly overharvesting resources. Fresh water is being polluted from farming and oil drilling operations. Consumer culture is creating thousands of tons of unnecessary plastic waste and electronic waste. And recycling to help slow this down is almost nonexistent.”<\/p>\n

So the manifesto goes on to say that the solution here is to decrease the population. Who puts this crap out there? The left puts this crap out there, and they\u2019re still publishing books about the fact that population is going to destroy and is destroying the planet even though it has been proven to be a totally false proposition.<\/p>\n

Paul Ehrlich\u2019s book back in the seventies, The Population Bomb, predicted that by now we\u2019d all be dead, and he is still a guru. He\u2019s a Stanford professor, still a guru to the left. The manifesto continues. “If we can get rid of enough people, then our way of life can become more sustainable.” Sustainable. There it is. This is from a manifesto of one of the shooters.<\/p>\n

It sounds like this kid has bought it all hook, line, and sinker, to me. That there are too many people, that corporations are rotten, that we\u2019re destroying the planet with plastics and oil, and we\u2019ve got to start killing people if the rest of us are gonna survive. Somebody point me to where Donald Trump has gotten anywhere near thinking like this or any of us.<\/p>\n

\"\"We\u2019re the ones who reject this. We\u2019re the ones trying to talk sense into people about this. This manifesto is toxic across every subject that it touches. Now, a question: This manifesto is filled with Democrat talking points. You can see it. If you take the time to read it, it\u2019s filled with Democrat talking points. Does that make the shooter a conscious, purposeful Democrat?<\/p>\n

No! No! It doesn\u2019t. It makes the shooter something else that has to be dealt with along the lines I described in the first hour. While all this is going on, Democrats are out practicing their time-honored demagoguery for the advancement of their political agenda. And I don\u2019t know about you, but it\u2019s worn me out. Not to the point of not talking. Don\u2019t misunderstand. I\u2019m never gonna stop letting them get away with it, don\u2019t misunderstand. It\u2019s just time it stopped.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Grab audio sound bite 22.\u00a0 I just read you a portion of the El Paso — and I didn\u2019t identify which when I read it originally on purpose.\u00a0 I just read you a portion of the El Paso manifesto.\u00a0 All right?\u00a0 Now, grab sound bite 22, \u2019cause this is how CNN was treating this.\u00a0 This was moments ago.\u00a0 They didn\u2019t read to you the part that I read.\u00a0 But I\u2019m gonna expose for you the part that they read.\u00a0 I\u2019m not hiding anything; CNN is.\u00a0 So here is the infobabes — her name is Sara Sidner — and listen to this.<\/p>\n

SIDNER:\u00a0 The manifesto makes very clear that he wants anti-immigration policy. Uh, that he is anti-Hispanic. Um, and that\u2019s targeting the government as well.\u00a0 So that — that all fits into the terrorism framework! We should also talk about all of the things and where all this is all going on, where this is all being posted, what is fueling some of this.\u00a0 To be perfectly frank, some of the words he used — like “invasion” — the president of the United States has used over and over.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 All right.\u00a0 “Invasion.”\u00a0 President Trump is by no means the only person who has referred to this invasion at the southern border as “an invasion.”\u00a0 So what!\u00a0 Now let me read to you the portion of the manifesto I read to you that Sara Sidner and CNN didn\u2019t.\u00a0 Here\u2019s an excerpt:\u00a0 “The decimation of the environment is creating a massive burden for future generations.”\u00a0 By the way, this El Paso guy disavowed Trump anyway.\u00a0 He\u2019s not a Trumpist, and he made it plain that he\u2019s not.\u00a0 But never mind!<\/p>\n

It sounds like every climate change activist out there.\u00a0 Did CNN read you that portion?\u00a0 Nope!\u00a0 They read you some business about invasion at the southern bored and say, “Why, some of the words he used — like ‘invasion\u2019 — the president of the United States has used over and over.”\u00a0 Okay.\u00a0 Why not read to us the pro-climate change oddball portions of this manifesto and say, “The word sounds suspiciously like those we heard last week at the Democrat candidates\u2019 debate?”<\/p>\n
