RUSH: Reverend Wright is back. Yes, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright is back. The Hampton Roads Daily Press has a little blurb today. ‘The Rev. Jeremiah Wright says he does not feel any regrets over his severed relationship with President Barack Obama. &hellip; Wright also said that he had not spoken to his former church member since Obama became president. &hellip; ‘Regret for what… that the media went back five, seven, 10 years and spent $4,000 buying 20 years worth of sermons to hear what I\u2019ve been preaching for 20 years? Regret for preaching like I\u2019ve been preaching for 50 years? Absolutely none,\u2019 Wright said. &hellip; Asked if he had spoken to the President, Wright said: ‘Them Jews aren\u2019t going to let him talk to me. I told my baby daughter, that he\u2019ll talk to me in five years when he\u2019s a lame duck, or in eight years when he\u2019s out of office. … They will not let him to talk to somebody who calls a spade what it is. … I said from the beginning: He\u2019s a politician; I\u2019m a pastor. He\u2019s got to do what politicians do.”<\/p>\n

So the Reverend Jeremiah Wright told the Hampton Roads Daily Press that ‘them Jews\u2019 are not going to let Obama talk to him, Reverend Wright. <\/p>\n

Now, ‘them Jews\u2019 in Israel are a little upset today. You know, Israel is in the Middle East, and the Middle East has the — remember when some malcontent Iraqi threw a shoe at President Bush? The sole of a shoe, showing the sole of a shoe is a primary insult in the Middle East, in Arabic countries, in Islamic countries, and in fact, to illustrate this, do you remember back in the first Gulf War during the presidency of George H.W. Bush, do you remember how he kept calling Saddam Hussein ‘Saddam\u2019? We kept saying, ‘What the hell? He\u2019s president of the United States, doesn\u2019t he know how to say Saddam?\u2019 Saddam in Iraq is a shoe shiner or some such thing, it has to do with the shoe. It was an insult to say Saddam Hussein\u2019s name that way. The shoe and the sole of the shoe is a big insult. And there\u2019s a picture, the White House released a picture taken by the White House photographer of Obama on the phone with Benjamin Netanyahu, who is the prime minister of Israel, with his feet up on the Oval Office desk, the focal point of the picture is Obama\u2019s shoes, the sole of his shoes. And ‘them Jews\u2019 in Israel think that this is a subtle insult from Obama to Netanyahu and Israel. <\/p>\n

I\u2019m not going to sit here and say, ‘Come on, ‘you Jews\u2019 are being too insensitive about this.\u2019 I think this guy\u2019s got a huge problem with Israel, I think he\u2019s got a huge problem with Judaism, and Reverend Wright, I mean this is the guy who Obama listened to for 20 years — ‘them Jews.\u2019 ‘Them Jews\u2019 won\u2019t let Obama speak to him, Reverend Wright. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
