CALLER:\u00a0 I have a question for you.<\/p>\n
RUSH:\u00a0 What is it?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 I just heard on the news that Putin came out in defense of Donald Trump.\u00a0 Now, Donald Trump does not need Putin to defend him against anything.<\/p>\n
RUSH:\u00a0 Would you actually characterize it as “Putin came out in defense of Trump”?\u00a0 What did Putin say?<\/p>\n
CALLER:\u00a0 Well, according to the news, he was defending the fact that this impeachment was, you know, not a good thing.<\/p>\n
RUSH:\u00a0 Right.\u00a0 He didn\u2019t defend Trump.\u00a0 He went out and attacked Congress. (laughing) I laughed my ass off, Larry.\u00a0 I laughed my ass off on Putin.<\/p>\n
CALLER: (laughing) Yeah.<\/p>\n
RUSH: He\u2019s goosing them!\u00a0 He\u2019s driving them crazy.\u00a0 He\u2019s keeping them believing that Trump and Putin are buddies and are sabotaging the Democrats.\u00a0 I think it was hilarious.\u00a0 Putin… This is on a par with Trump asking Putin to find Hillary\u2019s emails.\u00a0 Here\u2019s Putin ripping the U.S. Congress for not having the slightest idea what they\u2019re doing, making a big mistake. He can\u2019t believe how stupid they are. (laughing) This is fantastic.\u00a0 He\u2019s goosing \u2019em, Larry.\u00a0 He\u2019s gaming them out there.<\/p>\n
CALLER: (garbled) …was the fact that he\u2019s doing this simply because he wants to set up Donald Trump (laughing) in the media and the left to give them a reason to say, “See? I told you he\u2019s out there doing this!”<\/p>\n
RUSH:\u00a0 Oh, maybe.\u00a0 Maybe.\u00a0 What Putin wants to do is exactly what he\u2019s doing thanks to the Democrats falling for it all.\u00a0 Vladimir Putin… The Democrats want you to believe that Putin wanted Trump to win, and so Trump and Putin are buddies, and they colluded, and they found a way to make it happen.\u00a0 Well, that\u2019s not what… Putin can\u2019t control who wins.\u00a0 All he wants is the United States in a state of disarray.\u00a0 He wants the United States focusing on internal battles, paying less attention to him.<\/p>\n
In truth, Donald Trump may be the worst thing that has ever happened to Vladimir Putin.\u00a0 Trump is by no means (chuckling) a Russian ally or a Putin ally.\u00a0 So there could be an element of this (chuckling), Putin trying to keep the Democrats going after Trump alive by claiming they\u2019re doing it the wrong way, claiming they\u2019re making a mistake.\u00a0 But if that\u2019s true, then all Putin is doing is simply trying to further their belief that Russia and Trump are buddies and are colluding.<\/p>\n
Now, the Democrats are in such a state of delusion — and, folks, they really are.\u00a0 They are as delusional as I have ever seen a political party.\u00a0 Now, don\u2019t misunderstand.\u00a0 I\u2019m not saying that they\u2019re not dangerous or that they\u2019re a joke.\u00a0 That\u2019s not what I\u2019m saying.\u00a0 I\u2019m saying that they are so absent and distant from reality here that Putin coming out and chastising them for doing it the wrong way… It could be that Putin wants to further the idea that he\u2019s on Trump\u2019s side, which could then keep the Democrats further engaged and enraged in their effort to get Trump.<\/p>\n
But (chuckles) if that\u2019s his plan, he\u2019s just gonna make them look crazier.\u00a0 They don\u2019t understand yet how they have come off in all of this to the vast majority of the American people.\u00a0 And, frankly, I haven\u2019t seen that much reaction to Putin anyway.\u00a0 It\u2019s been kind of muted.\u00a0 There hasn\u2019t been, you know, “Stop everything! Breaking news! Vladimir Putin criticizes Pelosi and her impeachment.” I haven\u2019t seen that yet.\u00a0 We\u2019ll have to keep a sharp eye.\u00a0 I don\u2019t think it registered much except it did with me from the standpoint of being very entertaining.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
