State-controlled Associated Press: &#8216;Senator John McCain says that President Obama will have to drop proposals for a government-run health insurance option if he hopes to reach congressional agreement on health care reform.\u2019 So far, so good. I\u2019m still reminded<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125113.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignright\"\/> of last week. I was laughing myself silly when news came out and how big news it was that McCain was voting with Republicans. (laughing) Our nominee, our presidential nominee, and there was a huge story, about it: &#8216;Ah, he\u2019s voting with Republicans now!\u2019 Of course, he was called a sellout by the left. So, so far, so good. &#8216;McCain says Obama will have to drop proposals for government-run health insurance option if he hopes to reach congressional agreement on reform. McCain says many Americans are losing confidence in Obama, partly because of concerns about the so-called public option. <\/p>\n<p>&#8216;So McCain proposed that Obama meet with members of both parties in Congress to find areas of agreement, abandon the public option, and then make clear exactly what he wants in the legislation.\u2019 Just as things were going good. Just as things are going good, what happens? McCain rides in to, quote, unquote, &#8216;save the day.\u2019 You know, I\u2019ve got this deja vu Gang of 14 thing running through my head. Well, what do we&#8230;? (interruption) No, I\u2019ll tell you why I have concerns. He\u2019s&#8230; (interruption) Right, public option is no good, won\u2019t pass. Leave it there, Senator! Leave it there! Don\u2019t have a meeting with him to figure out what can pass. Leave it there! Don\u2019t let this guy do it! You guys come up with your own decent reform plan when you\u2019ve got power back. <\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t let this guy do it. Don\u2019t&#8230; Oh, no. Oh, no. Here we are, we\u2019ve got victory in our jaws. All we have to do is clamp down, and here comes McCain with the jaw constrictors. (snorts) &#8216;That\u2019s right, Limbaugh. That\u2019s right. Bipartisanship. Bipartisanship. I\u2019m going to show we can do this if we work together!\u2019 No! No! You don\u2019t want to be part of this. When the other guy is going to bomb out, when the other guy is going to flame out, when the other guy is gonna crash&#8230; McCain, would you follow an enemy fighter pilot down and crash just because he was going to? No! You would stay up there and gloat, especially if you shot him down. If this guy is going to go down in flames, figuratively speaking, watch from the cockpit. Ah, jeez. And Maxine Waters is all up in arms about the &#8216;Neanderthal\u2019 Democrats in the Senate. This is Saturday in Los Angeles at Los Angeles\u2019 Southwest College. She held a town hall meeting, and a guy stood up and said, &#8216;Is your line in the sand on the public option not being included in any bill saying, &#8216;I vote &#8216;no&#8221; then?\u2019<\/p>\n<p>WATERS: Absolutely. Let me tell you what.<\/p>\n<p>AUDIENCE: (cheers and applause)<\/p>\n<p>WATERS: We\u2019re going to do everything that we can to organize and put pressure on those sen-a-tors, some of whom are Neanderthals. <\/p>\n<p>AUDIENCE: (cheers and applause)<\/p>\n<p>WATERS: We\u2019re going to say to the president, &#8216;We want you to use every weapon in your basket!\u2019<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: She\u2019s rallying the base out there, calling conservatives names. Well, she\u2019s calling Democrats names. I mean she\u2019s calling Democrat Neanderthals, some of those Neanderthals in the Senate. Don\u2019t get her going on the&#8230; (interruption) Well, that would be an insult if she called me a Neanderthal. Being called a Neanderthal by Maxine Waters is (snickering) I\u2019d just laugh.
