RUSH: Diane Watson last night was in Los Angeles at a town hall meeting, and we have two-sound bites. Here\u2019s the first.<\/line><\/line>WATSON: You might have heard their philosophical leader — I think his name is Rush Limbo (sic) — and he said early on, I hope that he fails. <\/line><\/p>\n

AUDIENCE: (smattering of applause) <\/p>\n

WATSON: Do you know what that means? If the president, your commander-in-chief, failed, America fails.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wrong!<\/p>\n

WATSON: Now when a Senator —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wrong.<\/p>\n

WATSON: — says that this will be his Waterloo and we all know what happened at Waterloo, then we have him and he fails. Do we want a failed state called the United States? So remember, they are spreading fear and they\u2019re trying to see that the first president who looks like me, fails. And I want you to know people look at the United States as a country that has changed its way and has elected someone from Kenya and Kansas. I\u2019ll put it like that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: WHAT? Elected someone from Kenya and Kansas? She\u2019s a birther! She\u2019s a birther! We ‘elected someone from Kenya and Kansas,\u2019 finally we\u2019ve elected somebody that looks like her. And she said, Limbaugh hopes Obama fails. Yeah, I do, Diane. Obama failing saves the United States of America. But there\u2019s one more to go, one more sound bite to go to put this in perspective.<\/p>\n

WATSON: It was just mentioned to me by our esteemed speaker, ‘Did anyone say anything about the Cuban health system?\u2019 And let me tell you before you say, ‘Oh, it\u2019s communist,\u2019 you need to down there and see what Fidel Castro put in place. And, I want you to know… Now, you can think whatever you want to about Fidel Castro but he was one of the brightest leaders I have ever met!<\/line><\/line>AUDIENCE: (applause)<\/line><\/p>\n

WATSON: And, you know, the Cuban revolution that kicked out the wealthy, Che Guevara did that — and then after they took over they went out among the population to find someone who could lead this new nation, and they found…. Well, just leave it there. Ha-ha! An attorney by the name of Fidel Castro.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Did you know that, that which he Guevara…? Castro was minding his own business smoking cigars and Che Guevara after getting rid of rich people found Castro to lead the revolution? And a health care plan? This is a member of Congress, Diane Watson. She\u2019s a good friend of Maxine Waters, by the way. And she\u2019s from Los Angeles. Cuban… (interruption) Well, no, Snerdley, there was some applause. I know it wasn\u2019t a lot but there was some applause, Castro, one of the brightest leaders? Once again applauded at my name. Actually, her audience might like me, because there wasn\u2019t much of a reaction. This took place at the Ward African Methodist Episcopal Church last night in Los Angeles. This is like the Wellstone Memorial. Do these people sound like they live in the same country we live in?<\/p>\n
