Detroit Free Press: ”Cobo a Scene of Desperation\u2019 — Social service agencies are bracing for more troubles. The economic tsunami washing over metro Detroit swept its casualties to the doors of Cobo Center on Wednesday in the form of 35,000 people so desperate for help with mortgage and utility bills that threats were made, fights broke out and people were nearly trampled.\u2019 This is Obama\u2019s America. This is what happens with socialism. You think these are long lines now, these brainwashed kids in that song on CNN talk about the long lines that are out there, you people haven\u2019t seen long lines at the emergency room until Obamacare gets implemented. <\/p>\n

‘Some were treated by emergency medical workers on site,\u2019 as they showed up to pick up Obama money. ‘It was one of the most dramatic signs to date of how deeply joblessness and the home foreclosure crisis have pushed people from the lower and middle ends of the economic scale to seek help wherever they can. City officials said a total of about 65,000 people over the past few days have gotten applications — due next Wednesday — for a share of $15.2 million in federal stimulus money to help people avoid foreclosure or quickly rebound from homelessness.\u2019 But get this. ‘Ultimately, as few as 3,500 people may receive the help.\u2019 They think they got riots now, 3,500 people out of 65,000 filling out applications for this? Let\u2019s go to audio sound bites, this week here\u2019s a portion of Ken Rogulski reporting on WJR in Michigan, two people here in line for Obama cash.<\/p>\n

ROGULSKI: Why are you here?<\/line> <\/line>WOMAN #1: To get some money.<\/line> <\/line>ROGULSKI: What kind of money? <\/line> <\/line>WOMAN #1: Obama money. <\/line> <\/line>ROGULSKI: Where\u2019s it coming from? <\/line> <\/line>WOMAN #1: Obama. <\/line> <\/line>ROGULSKI: And where did Obama get it? <\/line> <\/line>WOMAN #1: I don\u2019t know, his stash. I don\u2019t know. (laughter) I don\u2019t know where he got it from, but he givin\u2019 it to us, to help us. <\/line> <\/line>WOMAN #2: And we love him. <\/line> <\/line>WOMAN #1: We love him. That\u2019s why we voted for him! <\/line> <\/line>WOMEN: (chanting) Obama! Obama! Obama! (laughing) <\/line> <\/line>RUSH: Now, yes, I think it\u2019s fine to laugh. I think it\u2019s frankly fine to laugh. (laughing) It\u2019s freaking sad. Obama giving us money from his stash, that\u2019s why we love him, Barack Hussein Obama, mmm, mmm, mmm. Here\u2019s the report from yesterday, just to refresh your memory. <\/line><\/p>\n

ROGULSKI: Did you get an application to fill out yet?<\/line> <\/line>WOMAN: I sure did. And I filled it out, and I am waiting to see what the results are going to be.<\/line> <\/line>ROGULSKI: Will you know today how much money you\u2019re getting?<\/line> <\/line>WOMAN: No, I won\u2019t, but I\u2019m waiting for a phone call.<\/line> <\/line>ROGULSKI: Where\u2019s the money coming from?<\/line> <\/line>WOMAN: I believe it\u2019s coming from the City of Detroit or the state.<\/line> <\/line>ROGULSKI: Where did they get it from?<\/line> <\/line>WOMAN: Some funds that was forgiven (sic) by Obama.<\/line> <\/line>ROGULSKI: And where did Obama get the funds?<\/line> <\/line>WOMAN: Obama getting the funds from… Ummm, I have no idea, to tell you the truth. He\u2019s the president.<\/line> <\/line>ROGULSKI: In downtown Detroit, Ken Rogulski, WJR News.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, let me put this in perspective. This is the model citizen in Barack Obama\u2019s vision. These people are model citizens. These are the people who would be wealthy and rich today were it not for the fact that the achievers of this society since this country was founded stole everything they had. And so Obama looks at these people as victims of an unjust and immoral country, and by God, he\u2019s going to make sure that they think he\u2019s making it all good for them. And they all do. Dumb, uninformed, shockingly, saddeningly stupid, the model citizen for Barack Obama and the Democrat Party. <\/p>\n

Here\u2019s an interesting story. This is from the Daily Mail, UK: ‘Benefits ‘Wrecked the British Work Ethic,\u2019 New Study Claims.\u2019 Really? They needed a study for this? ‘The stigma that once went with claiming benefits rather than working for a living has been lost, a study has claimed. The work ethic that inspired successive generations has ebbed away in the face of the welfare state. Over the past decades each generation has seen more and more people milking the benefit system, which has sapped their will to work, the research from the Centre for Economic Performance said. The findings come at a time when both major parties have committed themselves to cutting numbers who live on incapacity benefit. There are 2.6 million adults who claim the handout meant for the sick and incapable, with around 20 percent thought to be fully able — but unwilling — to work.\u2019<\/p>\n

‘The report in the journal CentrePiece said: ‘A decline in the work ethic, induced by the expansion of the welfare state, is key to understanding European unemployment.” No kidding? Well, duh! And guess where we\u2019re headed? We\u2019re headed in exactly the same direction. Not only with the welfare state, health care, all of it. It\u2019s just a shame, it\u2019s all being done on purpose. Get this. This is from Houston Chronicle: ‘Seventeen million in federal stimulus money is being pumped into Houston area social service agencies to prevent homelessness.\u2019 Here it all comes around again. We have been through this. What cures homelessness is jobs, and jobs, the true cure, is the one thing that Obama is standing in the way of being created, by design. <\/p>\n

RUSH: ‘About $17 million in federal stimulus money is being pumped into Houston-area social service agencies to prevent homelessness… Local agencies say they\u2019ve been helping more people who are homeless for the first time and more people who are on the verge of homelessness with fewer dollars. The stimulus will help fill the gap, agencies said. ‘It\u2019s the only thing that\u2019s keeping people from homelessness,\u2019 said Gerald Eckert, social services manager for The Salvation Army of Greater Houston.\u2019 Has anybody ever heard of jobs? Has anybody ever heard of the concept of jobs? You think people would hear of it. By the way, the story goes on to say that charitable contributions are down, which is why they need the stimulus money. <\/p>\n

Well, do you think that if more people were working, if they had jobs, do you — and maybe a reduction in taxes — do you think maybe they would have some disposable income to help the needy? See this is part of the plan, folks. Your charitable deductions are about to be vamoosed. No charitable deductions are going to be allowed before long under Obama, and that\u2019s part of the plan: Replace charity with government. But again I ask something. I know this is very cold-hearted to say, and I know this is easy for me to say, and I know that it\u2019s insensitive as hell for me to say. But maybe if people had jobs they wouldn\u2019t need charity. Is this what the stimulus was supposed to be for? Do you think the average person thought it was for charity, i.e., welfare? You think that\u2019s what people thought the stimulus bill was? <\/p>\n

RUSH: Here\u2019s the latest from Detroit. You know what Detroit is? Detroit is going through their version of Hurricane Katrina without the levees breaking. Where\u2019s FEMA? Less moisture, no levees to break, but Hurricane Katrina has hit Detroit. Listen to this. ‘Scam artists…\u2019 I\u2019m sorry, I can\u2019t help laughing at this, either. ‘Scam artists are charging unsuspecting Detroiters $20 for bogus applications.\u2019 You have to fill out an application. Sixty five thousand people have shown up for applications. The applications for whatever money they\u2019re going to get has to be turned in by next Wednesday. ‘Homelessness and low income residents had the opportunity to get free applications for homelessness apprehensive and rapid rehousing program stimulus money. <\/p>\n

‘The response was overwhelmingly, about 65,000 trying to get one of 25,000 available applications. Most were turned away empty-handed.\u2019 Now, I wonder what those people got turned away thinking it was Obama\u2019s stash, that Obama was given the money and all of a sudden they get turned down. Of course they won\u2019t blame Obama they\u2019re going to blame Detroit they\u2019re going to blame whoever was inside Cobo Hall handing these things out so scammers ‘are preying upon those not fortunate enough to get an application.\u2019 Those not fortunate enough to get an application. So the scam artists are standing outside Cobo Hall charging $20 for a fake application. ‘Genuine applications are either yell or white with a blue box located at the bottom of the form, copies of the applications are considered invalid and will not be accepted.\u2019 What a nightmare. <\/p>\n

This is what you get with socialism. Nobody gets anything — and those who get whatever, don\u2019t get very much, period. Because socialism kills the engine of production. And we\u2019re witnessing it happen right before our very eyes in our own nation. These are dark days, folks. I just cringe. <\/p>\n
