It\u2019s a great day for me, a mere mortal, because I am correcting the great Rush Limbaugh. You played audio clips from earlier in the show and claimed it was Chad Ocho Cinco when it was in fact Rob Parker, formerly of the Detroit News. Just thought I\u2019d let you know.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah, okay. Because Chad Ocho Cinco &#8212; number 85, wide receiver, Cincinnati Bengals &#8212; hates high taxes! He was fined by the Bengals during training camp for &#8216;tweeting\u2019 Terrell Owens during a meeting and the meeting was all about their taxes and how high they are examined how they got to get to Obama for tax breaks. <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Really?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah, I have a record of it here. Here\u2019s Terrell Owens: &#8216;I was tweeting in the meeting during a film session, it was to Barrack Obama though and I still got fined, taxes high s***\u2019 and then Ocho Cinco: &#8216;u dn\u2019t wanna run across tht white house grass, b\/c IF U DO, u\u2019re gonna b on more than sports center!\u2019 But these guys are upset about high taxes. They\u2019re Tweeting each other while they\u2019re in the meetings and so forth. So I\u2019m not surprised at all. I was misinformed by the audio crew in New York that put that bite together, so I\u2019m glad you called.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I assumed it was not you, Rush. That I knew for sure. I knew it was a mistake elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I\u2019m turning over a new leaf, when the staff screws up, damn it, they\u2019re gonna own up to it!<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: When the staff screws up, I\u2019m telling everybody. I have covered for this staff for 21 years. (laughing)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125110.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"170\" height=\"210\" class=\"alignright\"\/>CALLER: Well, I\u2019ve been a Rush Baby. I\u2019m 23, and I\u2019ve been listening to you ever since I can remember, and it\u2019s a big honor for me.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Thank you very much. So Rob Parker is formerly with the Detroit News?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yes, sir. He actually got fired recently for a comment he made to the former coach Rod Marinelli. I thought you guys would get along splendidly. Actually Rob Parker&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Was he the guy&#8230;? What was the question he asked Marinelli? What was it about?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: He asked if he wished his daughter had married a better defensive coordinator. <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Oh, yeah, I remember that.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: So that\u2019s the jerk.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yeah. <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: That\u2019s the jerk that asked the question and the Detroit News fired him. So that\u2019s the jerk that was on the sound bite we played that we thought was Chad Ocho Cinco.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: That is correct.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: So the fact that it\u2019s a sportswriter, well, that explains everything! They are the most liberal wusses in all of media. Oh, it\u2019s just&#8230; (sigh) Do you know what especially sportswriters who TV critics &#8212; with one exception: I love Phil Mushnick. But do you know what the qualifications are to be a sportswriter-TV critic are? A cheap bottle of vodka and a remote control. That\u2019s all you need, and I\u2019m sure Rob Parker knows what I\u2019m talking about. (interruption) Mmm-hmm. Mmm-hmm. Oh, yeah! The staff is reminding me that I said the other day they are &#8216;associates\u2019 and no &#8216;staff.\u2019 That\u2019s true. I was only teasing. Look, I\u2019m the voice here. The people screw up, I screw up. I\u2019m not going to dump on you. This was just an accident.
