RUSH: Now, about this Fox News Sunday appearance yesterday, I do call Sunday shows news church, and I\u2019ll tell you why. I said on Fox News Sunday nothing I have not said on this radio program. I said what I said on Fox News Sunday on other television programs, but I mean just by judging my e-mail and, hell, Axelrod was asked about me on Schieffer\u2019s news church show. And they were talking about this interview over on the ABC Sunday show. And the e-mail that I\u2019m getting from all of you is over the top. And, Snerdley, you know, I go on television and Snerdley never comes in here to comment on it, I don\u2019t even know if he even sees it. He walks in here this morning (panting), ‘I gotta tell you, whoa, man, that was a home run, you know what I really — you weren\u2019t wearing socks.\u2019 I said, ‘You know, a lot of people are telling me I wasn\u2019t wearing socks.\u2019 We don\u2019t wear socks here in South Florida, folks. We just don\u2019t. In fact, I have to remember to take socks with me when I travel to a northern climate in the wintertime. I haven\u2019t bought a pair of socks — except, you know, little white golf socks — in years \u2019cause I never wear them. But he came in, ‘Oh, this was just, man, you were so calm.<\/p>\n

<\/a>I\u2019ve never heard him go on and on and on like this before, and Snerdley, we\u2019ve been doing this for 21 years. I think the reason is it\u2019s news church, it\u2019s on a Sunday show, and the stuff that I said, which you\u2019ve all heard me say before, is not said on those shows. Those shows are stately, predictable, Washington conventional wisdom, predictable left and right stuff. But I had a great time. We shot it, we taped at four o\u2019clock in the afternoon. By the way, it\u2019s just funny. USA Today, AP, has the snarkiest stories. Did you see the AP story? You see that, Snerdley? Oh, speaking of which, did you see that several people on the morning shows today are applauding Hillary Clinton for her tough talk in Pakistan to the Pakistani people? (paraphrasing) ‘You guys don\u2019t have enough taxes here. We tax everything that moves and doesn\u2019t move in America. You don\u2019t do that.\u2019 Now, isn\u2019t that what the left hated about George W. Bush, the iron-fisted cowboy, George Bush, loose lipped and so forth. Now they\u2019re praising Hillary for going over there: ‘We tax everything. We tax everything that moves and everything that doesn\u2019t move.\u2019 Boy, she got that right, and they\u2019re going to tax even more.<\/p>\n

This is the AP story: ‘From his home –‘ which it wasn\u2019t, and it was plain as day. I mean, they have a shot of The Breakers Hotel, which is where the interview was conducted. I didn\u2019t buy the Breakers yet. ‘From his home and on a friendly network, Rush Limbaugh lobbed potshots across the airwaves Sunday at President Obama –‘ I think what I lobbed was informed criticism, not potshots. ‘– ‘immature, inexperienced, in over his head,\u2019 offering the country ‘radical leadership\u2019 and laying siege to the economy. ‘We\u2019ll let Mr. Limbaugh foment,\u2019 responded the White House\u2019s chief political strategist, dismissing the conservative commentator with the reported $400 million contract.\u2019 Then they have in print, ”I\u2019m probably worth more,\u2019 Limbaugh said.\u2019 I tell you, folks, I love goosing these people, and it\u2019s so easy to do. That whole thing was a giant media tweak. Just goose them. ‘No more than an entertainer and not really the right guy to give ‘lectures on humility.” That\u2019s what Axelrod said, ‘no more than an entertainer.\u2019<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s see. At least once a week some idiot like Sting or Sean Penn or Rosie O\u2019Donnell or George Clooney pipes up about how wondrous and noble and good Obama is. It gets big play in USA Today and websites, probably MSNBC and CNN, and those people we find out are guests at the White House. And who are they? They\u2019re entertainers! Nothing more than entertainers, and they\u2019re stupid entertainers. Did you hear what Sting said? He\u2019s sent by God. Jokingly, but these people are off their rockers. They\u2019re loco weeds. They are just entertainers, but when they praise Obama, why, they are distinguished citizens of the world. And USA Today: ”Rush Limbaugh: NFL Never Allowed Serious Consideration of his Candidacy to Become an Owner\u2019 — Rush Limbaugh continued to fault the NFL on Sunday –‘ What I said was, specifically, the owners didn\u2019t even get a chance to reject me, it never got there. I couldn\u2019t have been more clear about it and USA Today still gets it wrong. And what they\u2019re really, really having a problem with out there is I called Obama a man-child, the man-child. Oh, they are just freaking out over that.<\/p>\n

Do you know what a man-child is? Go look it up in the Urban Dictionary. I looked it up in the Urban Dictionary, and here\u2019s what it says: ‘A man-child say fully grown male that acts like a baby. A man-child usually whines, complains, and thinks everything is unfair. Man-children in the workplace can be recognized as one who is always complaining about the rules and\/or shows too much emotion.\u2019 And Obama is constantly whining and complaining about Bush and what he inherited. He whines and complains about everything. He\u2019s a man-child. I\u2019m shouting it, ‘He\u2019s a man-child!\u2019 And of course the predictable Geraldo Rivera, ‘That\u2019s racist, it was racist.\u2019 So, at any rate, folks, that\u2019s that. We\u2019ve got sound bite reaction to the Fox News appearance and I thank all of you for your e-mail over the weekend about it. As you know, I\u2019m just terribly, terribly uncomfortable talking about myself. (interruption) No, Axelrod did not respond to any criticism I had of their policies. Ah, he\u2019s an entertainer. We\u2019ll let Rush foment. Well, wait a minute, David, it was only back in February that you and Carville named me the head of the Republican Party. Now I\u2019m just a mere entertainer? Which is it? Or am I perhaps both, an entertainer who leads the Republican Party?<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Snerdley just told me during the on-top-of-the-hour break that we had what he thought might have been one of the all-time best calls and the guy didn\u2019t hang on. Now, the guy just got out of prison. He\u2019s been in prison for seven years. What was he in prison for? Give me… Selling crystal meth, arson, grand larceny, it went on and on and on. The rap sheet was long. Seven years in the slammer, just got out. Said he was watching Fox News Sunday yesterday, and when Chris Wallace asked me if anybody was worth $400 million, this guy said he had an awakening when he heard my answer. He had an awakening. For the first time he understood capitalism, and for the first time he understood that it was him who determined what his worth was, not somebody else — and it\u2019s true for everybody. <\/p>\n

<\/a>You determine what you\u2019re worth. And you\u2019re worth what somebody will pay you. Whatever it is. Once the market — employer, a partner, whatever — pays you, that\u2019s what you\u2019re worth. You\u2019ll take what you\u2019re worth; you\u2019ll fight for what you think you\u2019re worth. Many people are worth far more than they know. And that was this guy\u2019s awakening. So given that be with let\u2019s listen to some sound bites from my appearance on Fox News Sunday yesterday. The whole thing<\/a> is posted at RushLimbaugh.com, and there are even parts of the interview that didn\u2019t air. I think it went 25 minutes but they overshot some video, just in case they wanted to go longer and they put what didn\u2019t air up on their website, which we have also linked to<\/a> at RushLimbaugh.com. So here. The first question right out of the box: ‘This week it will be one year since Obama was elected. In that time, what\u2019s he done for and to the country?\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH ON FNS: I think it\u2019s all ‘to.\u2019 I don\u2019t think there\u2019s any ‘for.\u2019 Chris, I\u2019m really, really worried. We\u2019ve never seen this kind of radical leadership at such a high level of power in the country. I believe that the economy is under siege. It\u2019s being destroyed. Anybody with any economic literacy would not do one thing this administration has done to try to revitalize the private sector. They\u2019re destroying it. And I have to think that it may be on purpose. Because this is just outrageous what is happening, the denial of liberty, and attack on freedom, I mean just a couple days ago they talked about the 650,000 jobs that they\u2019ve ‘created or saved\u2019? There\u2019s no such thing as a ‘saved\u2019 job. Besides that they\u2019ve destroyed jobs, they\u2019ve lost 3.3 million jobs in this country since Obama\u2019s stimulus plan, and it\u2019s going to get worse.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, and so last week he\u2019d ‘saved or created\u2019 a million jobs, 650,000 jobs. Today convenes a meeting with his Economic Recovery Advisory Board to talk about what they can do to start getting job growth. So last week we ‘saved or created\u2019 a hundred thousand or 650,000, a million jobs. Now, that was last week. It\u2019s done with, fini. We got a new week, we have a new template: Obama working hard for you to create more jobs. He hasn\u2019t saved or created anything. This next sound bite is one of the two or three things from the interview that\u2019s really ticked off the media and a lot of people in the Obama administration. ‘You now have taken to calling Mr. Obama ‘the man-child president.”<\/p>\n

RUSH ARCHIVE: Right.<\/p>\n

WALLACE: What does that mean?<\/p>\n

RUSH ON FNS: He\u2019s immature. He\u2019s a child. I think… He\u2019s got a five-minute career. He was in the Senate for 150 days. He was a community organizer in Chicago for however number of years. He really has no experience running anything. He\u2019s very young. I think he\u2019s got an out-of-this-world ego. I mean, he\u2019s very narcissistic, and he\u2019s able to focus all attention on him all the time. That description is simply a way to cut through the noise and say he\u2019s immature, inexperienced, in over his head.<\/p>\n

RUSH: This next answer Chris Wallace seemed a little surprised by. ‘Let\u2019s talk about a couple of big issues the president\u2019s dealing with now, first of all Afghanistan. You suggest that he\u2019s taking all of this time to decide what to do in Afghanistan to keep his left-wing base on board for health care reform.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH ON FNS: Well, it\u2019s partly that but I also think he doesn\u2019t care much about it.<\/p>\n

WALLACE: Well, come on.<\/p>\n

RUSH ON FNS: No, I don\u2019t. See, this is… I know this is going to sound controversial, but I don\u2019t think he cares. Chris, if he cared about it, we\u2019ve got soldiers and their families worrying about what we\u2019re going to do. The general on the ground said, ‘We need some more troops.\u2019 The policy that he implemented in March he now doesn\u2019t like and is trying to figure out how best to make everybody happy here politically on his side of the aisle and also for his image. You know, Democrats have a tendency to be seen as week on defense. He\u2019s battling with that. But again if he cared about victory — remember, he said about Afghanistan, victory is not something he\u2019s comfortable with, the concept. It reminds him of the Japanese surrendering on the USS Missouri. It made him very uncomfortable. He wants to manage this rather than achieve victory. When he says these things, I don\u2019t know if people actually listen and have them register when he does.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I hear them. And I don\u2019t believe what I hear. It\u2019s just remarkable. The fact that he says, I\u2019m not comfortable with the concept of victory? People… I think I\u2019m the only one that remembered that. Now here\u2019s the next question. ‘You say you don\u2019t know that he really cares. Do you at least give him credit for going to Dover to honor the remains of soldiers, dead soldiers who came back from Afghanistan?\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH ON FNS: The politically correct thing to say here would be, ‘Oh, yes. I am very impressed that President Obama decided to go show his concern for the remains of troops have given their lives for freedom in this country.\u2019 It was a photo-op. It was a photo-op precisely because he\u2019s having big-time trouble on this whole Afghanistan dithering situation. He found one family that would allow photos to be taken. None of the others did. Throughout the Iraq war, it was Barack Obama and the Democrat Party which actively sought the defeat of the US military. They convened hearings and accused General Petraeus of lying. They said the surge would not work. Harry Reid stands up, waves the white flag, ‘This war is lost.\u2019 Jack Murtha is out saying our Marines at Haditha are guilty of rape. John Kerry is accusing our Marines of becoming terrorism act by going into the homes of Iraqis at midnight in the dark, terrorizing looking for Al-Qaeda or whoever was there. Yeah. I mean, I hate to be honest with you here, but I do question their commitment to national security. I question their commitment to the US Military. They\u2019ll put their political survival and their political power being gained over anything else. They\u2019ll use anybody and throw anybody away in order to achieve it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And one more. Chris Wallace: ‘You\u2019ve made no secret of the fact that you oppose the public option, government-run health insurance to compete with private insurers. With tens of millions of Americans still uninsured, do you think the government has any moral obligation to find some way to cover them?\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH ON FNS: There is a way to insure the uninsured without doing any of what we\u2019re doing. If that were the objective, then I\u2019d be full for it. This is not about insuring the uninsured. This is not about health care. This is about stealing one-sixth of the US private sector and putting it under the control of federal government. And when they get this health care bill, if they do, that\u2019s the easiest, fastest way for them to be able to regulate every aspect of human behavior, because it will all have some related cost to health care — what you drive, what you eat, where you live, what you do — and there will be penalties for violating regulations. It\u2019s going to be the biggest snatch of freedom and liberty that has yet occurred in this country.<\/p>\n
