Eric Holder and the people he said he consulted before deciding to have a civil criminal trial of the 9\/11 masterminds, he says he consulted with two people, his wife and his brother. Here are people Mr. Holder did not consult: The president, the vice president, Congress, the judicial branch, the FBI, the CIA, the national security advisor, the secretary of defense, the governor of New York &#8212; ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, oh, I\u2019m wrong, I\u2019m wrong. David Paterson has let the cat out of the bag. The governor of New York, he\u2019s upset about this. He doesn\u2019t want this trial in his state, much less New York City. And he let the cat out of the bag. He said that he was warned and told six months ago by the White House that this was to be the decision. Now, look, folks, that shouldn\u2019t surprise you. Do you really believe Eric Holder did not consult Obama? Do you really believe Obama had no idea what the decision was going to be? Don\u2019t even go down that road. This is Obama\u2019s decision, and it is purely political. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/article.nationalreview.com\/?q=NjJjYTIxNGFlZjRiNzFmYzFiM2ZhMGI4NTRmMWNhMzg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125108.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"350\" height=\"600\" class=\"alignright\"\/><\/a>Now, my friend Andy McCarthy, I talk about him all the time, he was the US attorney\u2019s office, Southern District of New York, that\u2019s Manhattan. He was on the prosecutorial team that put the blind sheik behind bars in 1995. He has a long piece recounting all of the people consulted and the things everybody had to consider in deciding whether or not to indict the blind sheik. They talked to national security people and they talked to all kinds of Justice Department people. They consulted with the president, the office of the president, vice president, all of these people. It was a tough decision. They consulted with Janet Reno. Janet Reno is the one who wanted to do the trial but others didn\u2019t and they had to figure out the right thing to do. <\/p>\n<p>The point is that Eric Holder did not make this decision after just talking to his wife and his brother, and yet that\u2019s what they maintain. And they say Obama had no idea.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Here\u2019s David Paterson, the governor of New York yesterday at a groundbreaking, City University of New York and Hunter College. This is what the governor said about the decision to try Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in New York City.<\/p>\n<p>PATERSON: This is not a decision that I would have made. It\u2019s very painful. We\u2019re still having trouble getting over it. We still have been unable to rebuild that site. And having those terrorists tried so close to the attack is going to be an encumbrance on all of (sic) New Yorkers.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Paterson, not a decision he would have made. Now, didn\u2019t Obama tell Paterson to get off the ticket and not seek reelection \u2019cause he was doing so badly in the polls?
