RUSH: So yesterday afternoon the State-Controlled Media followed Sarah Palin to Grand Rapids, Michigan. They followed her out there in droves wanting to see what the ruckus was at her book signing, and the very brave and courageous Norah O\u2019Donnell of MSNBC grilled a (17)-year-old girl over her support of Sarah Palin.<\/line> <\/line>O\u2019DONNELL: Show me your T-shirt. Tell me what it says.<\/line><\/p>\n

SEAL: ‘The US government handed out $700 billion in Wall Street bailouts and all I got was this lousy T-shirt.\u2019<\/p>\n

O\u2019DONNELL: Did you know that Sarah Palin supported the bailout?<\/p>\n

SEAL: I don\u2019t… Where did you hear that?<\/p>\n

O\u2019DONNELL: During the campaign John McCain brought everyone to Washington, praised the bailout — and Sarah Palin, during the vice presidential debate, praised John McCain for bringing folks together to pass the bill and said, ‘It is a time of crisis in government. That\u2019s the time to step in.\u2019 So Sarah Palin was for the bailout.<\/p>\n

SEAL: I don\u2019t think she was. I think if you ask her today she was not for the bailout.<\/p>\n

O\u2019DONNELL: There\u2019s some confusion about Sarah Palin\u2019s policies, and that\u2019s why I ask you that. She\u2019s against the stimulus, but during the campaign she was for the bailout, as was John McCain. Does that change your view?<\/p>\n

SEAL: No, it does not.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The conversation then continued…<\/p>\n

O\u2019DONNELL: What is it that you most like about her? What policy?<\/p>\n

SEAL: She upholds the Constitution, the document that made this country so great, and that\u2019s what we need to go back to. We\u2019ve gone so far from the Constitution that we\u2019re reaping the consequences of that right now.<\/p>\n

O\u2019DONNELL: Specifically?<\/p>\n

SEAL: Big government. The Constitution was written so that government would be limited and so that it didn\u2019t become out-of-control and was in the hands of the people.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wow. That girl\u2019s great. Jackie Seal is her name. She\u2019s (17) years old, duking it out with the very brave and courageous Norah O\u2019Donnell of PMSNBC. It takes real courage to do that, you know? To go out and find these Palin supporters and hammer them and tell these Palin supporters, ‘You don\u2019t know what she believes in! She\u2019s all over the place. There\u2019s just confusion about her policies.\u2019 It does take guts to grill a (17)-year-old, especially one that knows more than you do about the Constitution, especially one that knows more than you do about Sarah Palin. It takes guts if you\u2019re an NBC infobabe reporterette to go talk to a (17)-year-old who knows more than you do about the subject matter. <\/p>\n

RUSH: All right. Apparently the girl is 17 years old, not 14. That\u2019s not my mistake. I was misinformed by staff. But it\u2019s still gutsy to take on a 17-year-old woman that knows more than you do about Sarah Palin and the Constitution. <\/p>\n

RUSH: There\u2019s a theme out there. We had this guy call about Sarah Palin, and obviously afraid of her; we had Norah O\u2019Donnell ambushing a 17-year-old girl in Grand Rapids, Michigan, really pounding this girl, ‘Did you know Palin supported the bailout?\u2019 ‘I don\u2019t think she…\u2019 (snarky interruption) ‘Yes, she did. She supported the bailout. She said that McCain supported the bailout and it was a crisis, she supported the bailout.\u2019 I find this interesting. The media is harping on this, that Sarah Palin supported the bailout. It\u2019s funny how Sarah Palin is getting more press about her comments about the bailout than Obama did. Remember, now, Obama was fact-checked by the AP and got almost no coverage on this. It\u2019s from the AP on Wednesday, April 29th: ”That wasn\u2019t me,\u2019 President Barack Obama said on his 100th day in office, disclaiming responsibility for the huge budget deficit waiting for him on Day One. It actually was him — and the other Democrats controlling Congress the previous two years — who shaped a budget so out of balance. <\/p>\n

‘A look at some of his claims Wednesday: OBAMA: ‘Number one, we inherited a $1.3 trillion deficit… That wasn\u2019t me. Number two, there is almost uniform consensus among economists that in the middle of the biggest crisis, financial crisis, since the Great Depression, we had to take extraordinary steps. So you\u2019ve got a lot of Republican economists who agree that we had to do a stimulus package and we had to do something about the banks.” AP says the facts are: ‘Congress controls the purse strings, not the president, and it was under Democratic control for Obama\u2019s last two years as Illinois senator. Obama supported the emergency bailout package in President George W. Bush\u2019s final months…\u2019 It was Obama, by the way, who urged Bush to bail out the auto companies. ‘… a package Democrat leaders wanted to make bigger.\u2019 The economy has worsened under Obama, AP wrote back on April 29th. And yet it\u2019s Sarah Palin getting all this press on her position on the bailout. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
