Thank you.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: I love your show and I love you and I just wanted to share, quickly, a story with you about my ten-year-old son. During the election, they were given a sheet of paper, and they had on there, you know, to vote for Obama, McCain, or &#8216;other.\u2019 And I found out &#8216;other\u2019 meant, like, Ron Paul or somebody else. Well, Chance put &#8216;other,\u2019 and he put &#8216;Rush &#8216;Baugh&#8221; because he didn\u2019t know your whole last name. So I got a call from the principal to come down there, and they got him in the principal\u2019s office, and they asked him to read to me what he had wrote down. Well, I knew who he was talking about, and I said, &#8216;He\u2019s talking about Rush Limbaugh,\u2019 and they said, &#8216;No, we know that. That\u2019s not appropriate for him to be talking about him in class. You shouldn\u2019t be throwing your views on him.\u2019 And Chance said, &#8216;She\u2019s not. All I know is that she says that Rush is smarter than my daddy.\u2019 (laughing) So he thought you should have been president.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125114.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"339\" class=\"alignright\"\/>RUSH: Wait a second here! I want to make sure I understood the theme, the main point here. Your ten-year-old is filled in the &#8216;other\u2019 blank with my name, spelled it &#8216;Rush &#8216;Baugh\u2019? <\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Yeah, &#8216;Rush &#8216;Baugh\u2019, yeah.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Yeah. And the school people were alarmed by this to the point they called you in. Did you actually say that they told you that you shouldn\u2019t be throwing my views onto your son?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Yeah, that I should not be getting a ten-year-old involved in adult stuff; and so I said, &#8216;Well, then why are you doing the election?\u2019 Because the school overwhelming voted Obama.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: What did they say? Yeah. What did they say to that?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: They just told me that wasn\u2019t appropriate for a ten-year-old, and I was like, &#8216;Well, you know, I didn\u2019t know that you all are having an election.\u2019 I didn\u2019t know they were having it. Chance didn\u2019t even know they were having it. But apparently in class they were asking the kids how they voted, and everybody voted Obama, and when Chance said &#8216;other,\u2019 and said &#8216;Rush,\u2019 the teacher stopped him and then sent him to the office, and then that\u2019s where they called me. And they thought &#8212;<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: How did this end up?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: (laughing) They took it as that I, I guess, had known in advance that this was going to happen, and that I had told him to put that down.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: So what? So what? <\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: I know.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: How did this end up?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Oh, it ended up with me telling her to mind her own, you know, business. And they obviously know where I stand, \u2019cause I\u2019ve got a car with bumper stickers, you know? That\u2019s how I let it known who I am.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Goodness gracious.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: So, obviously, my ten-year-old was scared to death. All he could say was my husband and I always joke around and I say that you\u2019re a lot smarter than he is \u2019cause he said global warming was a farce from the get-go.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Leslie? Leslie, what is the name of this institution of learning?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: It\u2019s Duval County schools.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: It\u2019s &#8212;<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: You want to know the name of the school?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: I can\u2019t hear that. Would you spell that for me? I can\u2019t understand the name. What county?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Yes, it\u2019s Duval. D-u-v-a-l.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Duval County, Duval County schools. That\u2019s the name of this particular school?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Oh, no. It\u2019s Southside Elementary.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Southside Elementary School. <\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Yes.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: It\u2019s in the Jacksonville area?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: (laughing) Yeah. I thought it was kind of funny and I kept meaning to call you but, you know, things happen, and I had time today to sit around and wait, so I did.
