RUSH: Now, you will remember, I was in Los Angeles this past summer. I forget when it was. But I did many, many things on that trip out there. I was there for four days, I did The Family Guy, and I also taped a two-hour interview, or what turned out to be two hours with William Shatner for a show he has on the Biography Channel called Shatner\u2019s Raw Nerve. It is going to be the premiere episode, the debut episode of the season, a personal conversation with me, and I think the show is a half hour. I don\u2019t know how they\u2019re going to edit this down. But they have put out a promo, and here is the audio from the promo that they are running.<\/p>\n

<\/a>SHATNER: Here\u2019s my premise, and you agree with it or not. That if you have money, you\u2019re going to get health care. If you don\u2019t have money, it\u2019s more difficult.<\/p>\n

RUSH: If you have money, you\u2019re going to get a house on a beach. If you don\u2019t have money, you\u2019re going to live in a bungalow somewhere.<\/p>\n

SHATNER: Right. But we\u2019re talking about health care.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What\u2019s the difference?<\/p>\n

SHATNER: The difference is we\u2019re talking about health care.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No.<\/p>\n

SHATNER: Not a house and a bungalow.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No. You\u2019re assuming that there\u2019s some morally superior aspect to health care than there is to a house —<\/p>\n

SHATNER: No, I\u2019m not moral at all. I want to keep the subject, for the moment, on the health care thing.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right.<\/p>\n

SHATNER: All right. So now it\u2019s the health care.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m talking about health care.<\/p>\n

SHATNER: Okay. So talk about health care. So isn\u2019t the premise, isn\u2019t this valid, that the health care system today is breaking the country?<\/p>\n

RUSH: No.<\/p>\n

SHATNER: It\u2019s not? <\/p>\n

RUSH: I don\u2019t believe it is. And if it is —<\/p>\n

SHATNER: But we\u2019re told that it is.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Of course we\u2019re told that (cross talk) because that\u2019s the way to get us to act like sheep and go long with —<\/p>\n

SHATNER: But how do you know that? You know, the sum total of what I want to ask you politically is how do you know?<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s my job; it\u2019s my life; it\u2019s my career; it\u2019s my passion. I\u2019ve studied this stuff. I want the best country we can have, and this is not the way to get it. We\u2019re going backwards.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s the promo they are running from the interview with William Shatner and his show Shatner\u2019s Raw Nerve on the Biography Channel. I enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun. I\u2019ve been out to his house for Monday Night Football since when I\u2019ve been in Los Angeles. <\/p>\n

RUSH: The William Shatner show is this Sunday. I thought it premiered in January but it\u2019s this Sunday night, December the 6th at 10 p.m. ET on the Biography Channel. And it\u2019s called Raw Nerve with William Shatner, and I might actually watch it. I don\u2019t usually watch myself on TV, but I might watch this to see how they took two hours of great TV and got rid of 90 minutes of it.
