RUSH: This is Drudge\u2019s lead item today. ‘The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is blocking certain websites from the federal agency\u2019s computers, including halting access by staffers to any Internet pages that contain a ‘controversial opinion,\u2019 according to an internal email obtained by CBS News. The email was sent to all TSA employees from the Office of Information Technology on Friday afternoon. It states that as of July 1, TSA employees will no longer be allowed to access five categories of websites that have been deemed ‘inappropriate for government access.” Now, here are the five, and you tell me what big one is missing. ‘Chat and messaging.\u2019 Can\u2019t go there. ‘Controversial opinion websites.\u2019 Can\u2019t go there. ‘Criminal activity websites.\u2019 Can\u2019t go there, which would mean the White House. ‘Extreme violence, including cartoon violence and gruesome content.\u2019 You can\u2019t go there. And ‘gaming.\u2019 <\/p>\n

<\/a>TSA employees cannot visit gaming sites, sites that promote extreme violence or criminal activity, which is… (chuckles) On certain days they can\u2019t access the WhiteHouse.gov website. Controversial opinion? None of these things are defined, by the way. What big category is not blocked? (interruption) Porn sites, exactly right! The chief broadcast engineer Mike Maimone comes up with the answer in a split second. Pornographic sites are not mentioned as being banned in the TSA memo. ‘The email does not specify how the TSA will determine if a website expresses a ‘controversial opinion.\u2019 There is also no explanation as to why controversial opinions are being blocked, although the email stated that some of the restricted websites violate the Employee Responsibilities and Conduct policy.\u2019 CBS News called \u2019em, asked for comment. They didn\u2019t get it. <\/p>\n

Now, let\u2019s review some things that the leader of this regime, ‘Barack Hussein Obama! Mmm! Mmm! Mmm!\u2019 has said. ‘The Transportation Security Administration is blocking certain websites from the agency\u2019s computers including halting access by staffers to any Internet pages that contain a controversial opinion.\u2019 Here\u2019s Obama\u2019s Michigan graduation commencement speech this spring. ‘Still, if you\u2019re someone who only reads the editorial page of the New York Times, try glancing at the page of the Wall Street Journal once in a while. If you are a fan of Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh, try reading a few columns on the Huffington Post website. It may make your blood boil, your mind may not often be changed, but the practice of listening to opposing views is essential for effective citizenship.\u2019 <\/p>\n

So the leader of the regime is urging college students, graduates to visit all kinds of controversial opinion sites, and yet the Transportation Security Administration is prohibiting any of its employees from visiting any sites where there are controversial opinions. Here\u2019s Obama\u2019s Kalamazoo high school graduation commencement speech: ‘And I hope that wherever you go, you won\u2019t narrow the broad intellectual and social exposure you\u2019ve had here at Kalamazoo Central. Instead, seek to expand the exposure you\u2019ve had here at Kalamazoo Central. Don\u2019t just hang out with people who look like you or go to the same church you do or share your political views. Broaden your circle to include people with different backgrounds and life experiences, because that\u2019s how you\u2019ll end up learning what it\u2019s like to walk in somebody else\u2019s shoes.\u2019<\/p>\n

So Obama\u2019s out telling young skulls full of mush at any institution of higher learning he can find ‘Expose yourselves to all kinds of ideas,\u2019 but his own employees at TSR are not permitted to access sites where there is controversial opinion. Now, if you are a leftist, if you\u2019re a Democrat, if you\u2019re a liberal, ‘controversial opinion\u2019 is any opinion that differs from yours. That\u2019s why I, El Rushbo, am deemed controversial. Yet the vast majority of people who listen to this program do not disagree with me. I am not controversial to the vast majority of people that listen to me. I am loved, adored, uh… Well, everybody wants to be me! But the left thinks I\u2019m controversial. So I guess, given that Obama\u2019s a Democrat, and most of the people at TSA would fall under that banner as well, any website which posts opinions that do not agree with leftists or liberal or Democrat opinions are off-limits now because they\u2019re deemed to be controversial.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hello, Rush. How are you?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Very well. Thank you, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Just a quick comment, Rush. You were talking about TSA and what they\u2019re not allowed to have access to. I was in a TSA office at Reagan airport last week, a couple weeks ago, I was in the video surveillance room, uniformed officers, banks all the way around, they\u2019ve got big screen high-def TVs. The center TV was reserved for a World Cup match. At least they weren\u2019t watching porn. And I\u2019ve gone there in the past and I\u2019ve seen Dr. Phil and Oprah on also during the afternoon.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait a second, you\u2019re talking here about Reagan National Airport in Washington. You went in there to the video surveillance room, uniformed officers watching the World Cup, Oprah, and Dr. Phil?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I can\u2019t tell you why I was there, but can I ask you a question, Rush?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Were they watching The Doctors? Dr. Phil\u2019s son is on that show.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, it was World Cup soccer, something really important. But can I ask you a quick question?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, what\u2019s the question?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Has anybody that was watching porn at the SEC during the financial debacle and meltdown, have any of them lost their jobs that you can think of, can you name one?<\/p>\n

RUSH: No. No, they have not.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s what I thought. Have a good day, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They have not. Thanks very much out there, Brad. Appreciate it. That\u2019s Brad in Arlington. On the TSA website they spell out the civil rights that their employees have. ‘Any current or former TSA employee or applicant for employment who feel they have experienced unlawful discrimination, harassment, or retaliation in either their employment or the hiring process may contact the Office of Civil Rights and Liberties to initiate the EEO complaint process in an attempt to resolve their complaints. Current or former TSA employees or applicants may raise any of the legal bases listed below when initiating the EEO complaint process. Current or former TSA employees may complain about race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, parental status, genetic information, retaliation. An Equal Employment Opportunity specialist will assist any person who wishes to file a complaint to understand the EEO process and to explain how to file a complaint to initiate the process.\u2019 And yet, despite all these freedoms and liberties spelled out on the TSA website, it seems that TSA employees are being denied their equal opportunity to view websites that other people can, except porn, they can watch porn, but they can\u2019t go to gaming websites, they can\u2019t go to controversial opinion websites. Very strange, ladies and gentlemen, very, very strange. Actually it\u2019s not strange at all. This is what totalitarian, authoritarian thugs do. And this is Big Sis, Janet Napolitano acting on orders from the top at the regime. I\u2019m not making these speeches up that Obama made.
