RUSH: Now, get this. As you know, the lawsuit against the New Black Panthers for voter intimidation in Philadelphia has been dropped, and one of the line lawyers, one of the line attorneys at DOJ who\u2019s quit says he was told to drop it because the DOJ is not going to pursue black defendants. In 2009, Philadelphia, during a street festival, the New Black Panther Party Philadelphia chapter leader ‘King Samir Shabazz.\u2019 This is one of the guys Holder dropped charges against. His name is ‘King Samir Shabazz\u2019 and he\u2019s speaking about white people at a street festival in Philadelphia, 2009. This is after the election. Have you heard this, Snerdley? This is after the election. This is after the voter fraud that happened in 2008.<\/line><\/line>SHABAZZ: I hate white people. All of them! Every last iota of a cracker, I hate him! You want freedom? You\u2019re going to have to kill some crackers! You\u2019re going to have kill some of their babies.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: All right, so that\u2019s King Shamir Shabazz. Now, you know, something that\u2019s occurred to me. Snerdley, help me out here. Am I correct or incorrect in observing that anger in the African-American community is much more intense since Obama\u2019s election? We were supposed to be just the opposite. We were supposed to have all of this unity and postpartisanship and postracial administration. Obama won the election, and here\u2019s one of the New Black Panther guys out there at a street. Here, listen to this again. King Samir Shabazz, 2009, Philadelphia street festival, one of the guys against whom charges were dropped. <\/p>\n

SHABAZZ: I hate white people. All of them! Every last iota of a cracker, I hate him! You want freedom? You\u2019re going to have to kill some crackers! You\u2019re going to have kill some of their babies.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And there still aren\u2019t any jobs out there. There is no money. People don\u2019t have any money, don\u2019t have any jobs. The ‘stash\u2019 has run dry. Well, it hasn\u2019t run dry, but 48% of the stimulus has been spent; 42% percent remains unspent. (interruption) What, the ‘real\u2019 Black Panther party has denounced these guys? So there\u2019s a real Black Panthers? Yeah? These are the New Black Panthers. They have been denounced by the real Black Panthers. Yeah? Well, I guess that\u2019s encouraging. Good. So the real Black Panthers, who are no strangers to civil unrest themselves; they say that the New Black Panthers are over the top. Whew. Okay, well, I can breathe easier. It\u2019s great to have that perspective. <\/p>\n

The current Black Panthers think these guys talking about killing white babies and crackers and freedom — which is amazing \u2019cause after the election, folks, I mean after the election of Obama, the anger and the rage here, stunning, isn\u2019t it? It\u2019s overwhelming. This is not supposed to happen. You look at the polling data, this country is divided. Obama has come and he has divided this country. Look at the polling data on him, his approval numbers on his issues, issue by issue. I predicted this. I predicted it, Snerdley. Even on this program we had people calling before the election, ‘Rush, don\u2019t you think maybe the election of a black guy will end racism, \u2019cause people will see that we\u2019ve changed and we\u2019re a decent country?\u2019 I said, ‘No, it\u2019s only going to get worse, because any criticism of Obama will be called racist, and the race industry and the race hustlers are going to fund-raise off of it, get media attention out of it. It\u2019s going to be worse than ever.\u2019 So I guess this sound bite from just last year by King Samir Shabazz of the New Black Panther Party sorta gives an illusion. But as Snerdley has pointed out: The real Black Panthers have said the New Black Panthers, that\u2019s a little much even for them. Until we hear from the Weather Underground, though, and Bill Ayers, the jury\u2019s still out.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/line> <\/line>RUSH: Okay, time for a little truth telling, ladies and gentlemen. The old Black Panther party has expressed its displeasure with the new Black Panther Party. And Snerdley has informed me, the Old Black Panthers say these new guys, they don\u2019t cut it. Now, why? Well, there\u2019s a very simple reason. The Old Black Panthers actually kill people. The New Black Panthers are just talking about it. The Old Black Panthers walked the walk along with the Weather Underground and Bill Ayers, actually killed people or tried to kill people. These guys, the New Black Panthers stand around mouthing a bunch of threats, but they haven\u2019t done anything yet. Until they go out and kill some crackers the New Black Panthers are a bunch of pretenders. Now, the person who pronounced the New Black Panthers, not the Old Black Panthers, was none other than the Huey Newton Foundation. Huey Newton was accused of murdering an Oakland police officer, a white cop, John Frey was his name, charged with murdering Frey, Newton was convicted September 1968, voluntary manslaughter, got two to 15 years in prison. In May of 1970 California appellate court reversed the conviction, ordered a new trial, and after two subsequent mistrials the state of California dropped the case. <\/line><\/p>\n

So Huey Newton who killed a white cop effectively got off because of jury nullification and technicalities, even though there was an eyewitness to the shooting, another cop. Another cop saw Newton shoot the other cop. So the Huey Newton Foundation, when they say the New Black Panthers, they don\u2019t cut it, speak from experience. The Old Black Panthers didn\u2019t just talk about killing crackers, they actually did it, and until the New Black Panthers do something other than just stand outside a polling place with their hands in their pockets they\u2019re not going to be properly respected by the real Black panthers. I imagine the Old Black Panthers are not all that impressed with the Justice Department dropping charges. I mean if you\u2019re a Black Panther and you get charged you go through the court system and you screw it up that way. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: A minor correction. I said Huey Newton condemned the New Black Panther Party. Not possible, he\u2019s been dead 21 years. It was the Huey Newton Foundation which said there can never be a New Black Panther Party. There\u2019s only us, and there aren\u2019t going to be any new ones. Now, again, if the New Black Panthers actually start killing some crackers, then maybe the Huey Newton Black Panther Foundation will accept them, but certainly not if they just talk and talk. They gotta have action or they\u2019re phonies.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Here\u2019s Lance in Amarillo, Texas. Great to have you on the program, sir. Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. Thanks for taking my call. My question is about the Black Panther incident in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Instead of going after the Black Panthers as an organization, how come the individual can\u2019t be brought up on individual civil charges for like harassment, verbal assault, interfering with the right to vote, things like that from the people that were there?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Do you really want me to answer this?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I understood that it could be that somebody would have to come forward with the cojones to file charges on them to do that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I think that happened. There\u2019s videotape of this.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: There\u2019s videotape. The answer to your question has been given by the Department of Justice line attorney who was told to drop charges, and the reason that we\u2019re not going to pursue it is because we\u2019re not gonna go after black defendants.<\/p>\n

CALLER: But wasn\u2019t that as far as the organization goes, couldn\u2019t the people that actually attended file charges on him individually for like verbal assault and interfering with their right to vote?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, but they\u2019re not, whether they\u2019re gonna go after the individual or go after the group —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — the Justice Department has spoken. Of course they can. I mean they could see this one through if they wanted to. They just choose not to.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Sure.<\/line><\/line>RUSH: Now, we got this whistleblower and his name is J. Christian Adams and he\u2019s out testifying. He\u2019s talking to the media. He\u2019s talking to committees, congressional committees. He\u2019s explaining his case. Not being covered outside of Fox News and talk radio, the conservative blogs. But he\u2019s making it perfectly clear why individually or as a group the New Black Panthers are not being pursued here. I saw Abigail Thernstrom, who\u2019s a brilliant civil rights — I think she\u2019s a lawyer, but she\u2019s on our side of things. She thinks it\u2019s kind of a waste of time to go after the New Black Panther thing, there\u2019s far worse things going on in the Justice Department today than this. But I disagree with that in a political sense only because this is so easily understandable. You don\u2019t need to be a think tank scholar; you don\u2019t have to have 14 master\u2019s degrees and doctorate degrees in order to understand this. If you want to delve deeply into some of the other abuses of power in the Justice Department you might have a tougher time making the case. But this one, this is very simple. People were intimidated against voting by the New Black Panthers, and the Justice Department said, ‘We\u2019re not going to pursue charges against black people.\u2019 How more simple to understand their motive as that?<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Here we go to Ralph in Chesapeake, Virginia. Ralph, welcome to the EIB Network, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you, Rush. I\u2019m a big fan, but frankly I\u2019m a little disappointed in you. I think you\u2019re being unusually harsh on King Shabazz. I know he\u2019s from the hills and hollers of western Pennsylvania. You know how those people are. He\u2019s just saying what he needs to remain king. He sounds so young in the tape. I think it\u2019s just a youthful indiscretion. And the NASA thing, you don\u2019t want them reaching out to the Muslim world and getting the blueprints for the mother ship?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Well, that\u2019s all well and good. But when you start killing crackers, the Muslims aren\u2019t going to know what you mean.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, but, Rush, you can tell from the tape, it\u2019s just a youthful indiscretion. Come on.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, let\u2019s go back and listen to the tape. What sound bite is this? Number 9? Cut 11. Here we go. This is ‘King Samir Shabazz\u2019 in 2009 in Philadelphia, he\u2019s a New Black Panther Party chapter leader, said this about white people. <\/p>\n

SHABAZZ: I hate white people. All of them! Every last iota of a cracker, I hate \u2019em! You want freedom? You\u2019re going to have to kill some crackers! You\u2019re going to have to kill some of their babies.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You think I\u2019m being too hard on King here, that —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. Yes. And I\u2019m a cracker.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You may have a point. Youthful indiscretion. He\u2019s doing what he has to do to remain king is essentially what you\u2019re saying.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. Exactly, come on. He wants to remain king. You\u2019re a king. Don\u2019t you want to remain king?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I don\u2019t look at myself as a king. Other people have made that distinction. I don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I look at you that way, my friend.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I appreciate it. I appreciate it. I really do. You have a point here. You do have a point. No question he\u2019s trying to further the Obama agenda by making sure that only certain people vote at the polling place. So yeah, you have a point. Normally it is I, your host, who catches these things, but I have to give you credit. You did the job I used to do on my own without being — (laughing) — being prompted or helped.<\/p>\n
