RUSH: Jeremiah, 29 years old in Galena, Kansas. Great to have you on the program, sir. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, yeah. Great to be here, Rush. I just want to say, thank you for having me. I\u2019m really nervous talking to you because it\u2019s a first-time call. But I wanted to say in response to that caller that was on just a few minutes ago, some things are worth fighting for, you know? I would never let my child go to restroom at a young age by herself — or my son, who was just born. Whenever he\u2019s even old enough to walk, I would never let them go to the restroom by themselves. I\u2019d always be their protector. <\/p>\n

But, you know, the thing is, there\u2019s gonna come a time when I\u2019m not gonna be able to protect them anymore. Whenever you say, “You know, you\u2019re five, six years old. Yeah, you can go use the bathroom,” and I don\u2019t want to have to worry about at that time, “Hey, is there someone in there that might not be on the up and up?” and then beyond that, you know, I just… I don\u2019t think it\u2019s wrong for you to take up this fight and let people know that you\u2019re being polarized, you know, with Trump saying the things he said.<\/p>\n

“Hey, it\u2019s okay. Just look the other way.” You know, I say that against Trump. Now, I\u2019m not a Trumpist. I think he\u2019s a little bit too aggressive and definitely too far to the left to lead the Republican Party. But, you know, I\u2019m a middle-right guy, and the thing with Cruz is… I\u2019m a Cruz fan, but it\u2019s just because he wants to stick to the Constitution. He wants to stick to what\u2019s right. You know, keeping our families safe and making the way of life the best they can be. <\/line><\/p>\n

And, you know, I just… This is one final thought I had, if you\u2019ll hear me here. It is, you know, politics are about finding what matters to you and what\u2019s reliable. You know, how does it affect your life? How, you know, people speak up about things whenever it matters to them. And, you know, my family and my family\u2019s way of life is what matters to me, you know? So all those things are being threatened right now, and the fight that you lead every day is just wonderful, and I wanted to say thank you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, you did remarkably well. You didn\u2019t sound nervous at all.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, I\u2019m shake… I\u2019m shaking on the phone. No joke. I took the time when I was on hold to write down my thoughts so I wouldn\u2019t be too scrambled, but, you know —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, whatever you did, it worked, because you didn\u2019t sound scrambled at all. You were cogent. You got in there, you got it, you got out. Your timing was great. Everything about it was perfect.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, well, I just… You know, there\u2019s one person in my life that made an impression on me more than anything, and that was my grandmother. You know, the greatest Christian woman you would ever come to meet. I love her to this day. But, you know, she\u2019d be ashamed of the rot and the fact of the way the culture is moving, and, “It\u2019s okay,” you know? It\u2019s just okay! “Yeah, you know, let\u2019s not fight that fight. Let\u2019s not stand up.”<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: “Let\u2019s just let it go,” and it\u2019s just not right. You know, at some point, it has to stop.<\/p>\n
