RUSH: Maria in upstate New York, great to have you on the EIB Network. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Wow. Rush, what an honor to talk to you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Fantastic. I was calling about something you were talking about earlier in the program, and it\u2019s what I think with Obama, which is he is just a facade. I mean, I guess we all sort of see it now. But when it really hit me was when during his campaign he was over in Germany and Berlin —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — and he was speaking to the German people, to Europe, and he was running as the American president. It was such a contrived thing, and it was a manipulative thing, and it was to make people think that George Bush was such an idiot, and —<\/p>\n

RUSH: What I got — <\/p>\n

CALLER: — that\u2019s what America\u2019s troubles were, was George Bush. And I think America is a very… The American people are such trusting people. The average American is a trusting person, and they want to believe the best in just about everybody, and I think the only reason that Obama was able to get this over on us was because the press wasn\u2019t doing their jobs. And I think it\u2019s something. Obviously you\u2019ve been talking about this for years, and I think a lot of people, again, average Americans are just waking up because it\u2019s so blatant this time.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: When he spoke at the Democratic convention for John Kerry — and I have very few friends that are conservatives and I myself am fairly new, – probably ten years a conservative — I said to a friend of mine, ‘I could almost vote for that guy for president if I actually thought he were honest.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: You are kidding me! You\u2019re telling me that you saw Obama speak at the 2004 Democrat convention and you said you could vote for the guy?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I said, ‘I could almost vote for the guy if I thought he were being honest,\u2019 and I didn\u2019t know anything about him at that point. But the more I got to see him the more I knew it was just a manipulation.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right, what is it gonna take? You tell me.<\/p>\n

CALLER: What is what gonna take?<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m gonna ask you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What is it gonna take for you in the future to never, ever again get bamboozled for these people? What is it gonna take for you to realize when you see a liberal speak that you should be suspicious of everything because the odds are 80 to 90% of it, if not all of it, is a lie.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I don\u2019t think I was bamboozled, though. I said I think —<\/p>\n

RUSH: You said you coulda almost voted for the guy.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, no, no. That\u2019s not what I said.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What I\u2019m saying is anybody with a (D) next to their name, no chance, no way, disqualified, no way, for anything, not even dogcatcher. I see a (D) next to their name, I don\u2019t care what they say, I don\u2019t care what they look like, I don\u2019t care what they do. No.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. That\u2019s exactly the way I am, but what I\u2019m saying is that the things that\u2019s what saying about uniting America and not dividing America were actually true, I could vote for him, as someone who doesn\u2019t vote for Democrats.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What is it going to…? Okay, let me rephrase it. I\u2019m glad you said that. What is it going to take from you to realize America will never be unified?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, I think I kinda known that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What is it gonna take for you to realize America never has been unified?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, yes, I mean — I think I know that. There\u2019s never — and I don\u2019t think you want —<\/p>\n

RUSH: There are forces of evil that want to destroy America that have to be defeated. We\u2019re never going to unify with them. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And the people that are on that side have a (D) next to their names. So whenever they show up and speak, their objective is to fool everybody into thinking, ‘Okay, I can get rid of the strife,\u2019 because they know people don\u2019t like the strife, they know most people don\u2019t like the arguments, the partisanship. So they come on and they lie to make you think they can make it go away.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: If 9\/11 couldn\u2019t unify us, nothing will.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, you\u2019re right. You are right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know what I remember about that Obama speech?<\/p>\n

CALLER: What?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Nothing. What I remember about that speech is his wife. Honest. Folks, honestly. I don\u2019t remember one thing \u2019cause I tuned it out, \u2019cause I knew it was all a lie. It was being delivered by a Democrat at a convention that had nominated John Kerry. For crying out loud, what are we talking about here? But when I saw Michelle come out there and I saw that introduction, Barack Obama told me everything I needed to know about him. She gave one of the most forceful, supportive, upbeat speeches. I have never seen a political wife speak of her husband that way in my life, and he came out and ignored her.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I don\u2019t see remember that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: ‘Here he is, my man, my baby\u2019s daddy, my man! He\u2019s the greatest man, Barack Obama,\u2019 and he came out and ignored her and didn\u2019t pay her a bit of attention, and I said this doesn\u2019t compute here. You at least give her a kiss. You at least put your arm around her, raise her hand with yours and acknowledge the applause. But he just ignored her. She didn\u2019t exist when he came out there. That\u2019s what I remember about it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, I don\u2019t remember that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Aren\u2019t you glad you called today? (laughing)<\/p>\n

CALLER: What?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Aren\u2019t you glad you called me today? (laughing)<\/p>\n

CALLER: I am glad. My whole point was that I think that we as Americans, the average American wants to believe the best about people but by the time Obama was running in his own campaign and the things that he said, I became very fearful of the guy.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: When he was inaugurated that night and he stepped down on that stage in Chicago, it sent a chill down me because I\u2019d never seen anything like it before where a man who\u2019s just elected president of the United States walks out with his family and then they walk off and leave him out there alone. It\u2019s just not right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, it\u2019s the same thing I saw in 2004 at the convention. It\u2019s creepy.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s very creepy.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They didn\u2019t exist.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, they\u2019re ornaments — and I\u2019ll guarantee you, when he got back to the hotel after that speech in 2004, he heard about it from her. I\u2019ll guarantee you she said, ‘Never again, buddy, are you gonna treat me and disrespect me that way after I went out and did all that for you and you pretend I don\u2019t exist?\u2019<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I\u2019ll have to go back and look at that online.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You go back and watch and see… No, wait a minute. You\u2019re not telling me you have it on tape?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, online!<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, watch it online. Yeah, I keep forgetting you can do that. See, I don\u2019t watch videos online \u2019cause I can\u2019t hear \u2019em.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s a fact of being deaf. Computer videos mean zilch to me. At any rate, I\u2019m glad you called. The Berlin speech. Do you know what the point of the Berlin speech was? Barack Obama saying, ‘To hell with America, I\u2019m the world.\u2019<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. And that\u2019s also creepy.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Very creepy.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And it was very creepy when —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me tell you something. I looked at crowd shots. I look at the camera shots of the crowd, and the Germans are setting there drinking beer. It was like Octoberfest. They weren\u2019t listening to what the guy said. The whole thing was staged for us. The god echo, the big crowd on the mall, this kind of stuff, and the Germans had just been recruited. I wouldn\u2019t be surprised if they gave away the beer to get \u2019em to show up. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Those people do nothing but stage everything they do to play off what you describe as the good intentions, the hopes of the American people, they want to see the best in everybody. My objective, therefore, is to get as many people as possible to, when they see a (D) next to somebody\u2019s name, be suspicious and to accept nothing at face value. You know, believe half of what you see of a Democrat and none of what you hear. <\/p>\n
