RUSH: Today we have distressing news from south of the border. Mexican Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is asking for compassion and understanding. He had to make a very tough decision, because of heavy rains.<\/p>\n

Now, this grueling decision was where to open the floodgates. If he opened them in one direction, the city of Villahermosa would be inundated. If he opened them in another direction, indigenous people – poverty-stricken indigenous Mexicans – would be flooded.<\/p>\n

\"\"This should have been an easy choice for El Presidente Obrador. He campaigned with the slogan: “The poor come first.” But liberal politicians everywhere have one thing in common. Slogans come easy, and talk is cheap.<\/p>\n

Therefore President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador opened the floodgates on the poor. The poverty-stricken indigenous people were flooded so the rich city-dwellers in Villahermosa would be spared.<\/p>\n

President Obrador says that opening the floodgates on the poor indigenous people “hurt” him a lot. But that it had to be done.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t know how many indigenous people lost the few possessions that they had. We don\u2019t know if any lives were lost, because the Drive-By Media reports don\u2019t bother to mention what happened to the poor indigenous people of Mexico. Because their lives apparently don\u2019t matter.<\/p>\n

But we do know that President Obrador is “hurting.” And we\u2019re supposed to feel compassion and sorrow for him. (crying) There, I cried for him, and I feel better.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
