RUSH: Mike in Kansas City. Great to have you, sir. Welcome.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hey, Rush, it\u2019s great to be on. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I just wanted to call and tell you I\u2019m a dentist out here in Kansas City, and I wanted to comment on the Kucinich story.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, he\u2019s suing over an olive pit or something, right?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Correct. And it\u2019s kind of funny because he\u2019s suing for $150,000. <\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m not familiar with the details out there, Mike. What damage to the oral cavity of Kucinich did the olive pit do?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, that\u2019s a good question, and they don\u2019t tell you in the story. The story just says it\u2019s serious and permanent.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ohhh, serious and permanent damage from an olive pit.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well it\u2019s funny because, you know, a cavity is permanent if you don\u2019t get it fixed. So it doesn\u2019t really tell us exactly what happened.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, okay, so why sue the dentist, or any dentist? Why not sue whoever grew the olive?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, no, he is, he\u2019s suing the cafeteria, the congressional cafeteria for $150,000.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, I thought he was suing the dentist. Okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No. But what\u2019s interesting is, you know, I have malpractice insurance, and they tell me that the average dental claim is $50,000. So it\u2019s funny that Kucinich is going for three times that amount.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What does that tell you?<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing) It tells you that he\u2019s an elitist. And I think it\u2019s funny because I\u2019ve had people come in, and I think the most I\u2019ve ever charged someone, and I mean doing a full mouth reconstruction —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — $22,000.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Twenty-two grand for a full mouth reconstruction?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. And that\u2019s roughly a thousand dollars a crown. You do 20 crowns.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You need to move to New York, even Palm Beach. You\u2019d get 22 grand a tooth!<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, yeah, I know, I need to be your dentist and move down there.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No. (laughing) I\u2019m trying to figure out why you sue the cafeteria. It must have been that the olive was sold to him as pitted?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, no. I mean obviously they put something dangerous in his food.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, but correct me. Maybe I\u2019ve got the wrong story. Isn\u2019t the Kucinich lawsuit over an olive pit?<\/p>\n

CALLER: You\u2019re right, you\u2019re right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, it\u2019s over an olive pit. So he\u2019s suing the cafeteria over an olive pit which means he obviously thought he was chowing down on a pitted olive.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. He said that it contained a dangerous substance.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, the pit?<\/p>\n

CALLER: The sandwich, and that\u2019s why he\u2019s suing.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Dangerous substance. Hmm. <\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s funny that he claims —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, all I know is, ladies and gentlemen, I was nowhere near there when it happened.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Here are the details, by the way, on the Dennis Kucinich story. He\u2019s ‘filed a legal complaint Wednesday in D.C. Superior Court, spelling out the case in chilling detail: The wrap was ‘unwholesome and unfit for human consumption, in that it was represented to contain pitted olives, yet unknown to plaintiff contained an unpitted olive.” <\/p>\n
