RUSH: Don\u2019t forget for a moment what I passed on Monday. This business in Egypt, you\u2019re not gonna have a whole lot of people admitting it. You have got rising food prices over there, you have unemployment, you have all of the domestic unrest, whatever politics these people are upset about, you got gut-level economics that\u2019s behind this. The Muslim Brotherhood comes into this at the end of it all. Mohamed ElBaradei, these people are hangers on, these people are trying to take advantage. These are the Rahm Emanuels of the world, ‘Never let a crisis go to waste.\u2019 <\/p>\n

These protests, they may hate Mubarak, I don\u2019t care, they may want freedom, good, but the idea here that this is all happening for a specific political reason is to miss the point. There\u2019s gut-level economics behind this and this is a socialist country. It\u2019s not as bad as it has been, but this is what you get with a central planning authority on the economy, on health care, and everything else. You get shortages, rising prices. You have no distribution, you have no production. There\u2019s no incentive for any of it. It\u2019s been demonstrated around the world every time it\u2019s tried. And that\u2019s why so many Americans are so alarmed because they know it\u2019s failed around the world, and they don\u2019t understand why somebody else wants to try it all over again here. Well, I do understand why somebody else wants to try it all over again here. It\u2019s about power; it\u2019s about payback; it\u2019s about any number of things that have nothing to do with what\u2019s best for the American people. <\/p>\n

I defy anybody, take a look at the past two years of this regime and tell me how the American people have benefited. Where is it? Where\u2019s the benefit from the stimulus? Where\u2019s the benefit from all of the shovel-ready jobs? Where is the rebuilt infrastructure? There is one group of people who have benefited and it\u2019s unions, primarily public sector unions. Yeah, the automobile unions, yeah, they own Obama Motors. They have quite a large stake. But this is the payback. These are people who are being rewarded for all of their hard work in tearing down capitalism all these years. This is their reward for it. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
