We\u2019re in the primary season. Why are these anarchists and Democrats and leftists protesting Trump now? And make no mistake, this is all on the Democrats. I think it\u2019s unfortunate there are people trying to blame Trump for this. This has never, traditionally never been a Republican problem.<\/p>\n<p>Republican protests don\u2019t happen, to your chagrin. How many of you have called me over the years wishing you would see some? You\u2019re tired of the Democrats getting away with the protest march. You\u2019re tired of the Democrats exclusively being able to shut down events. And make no mistake, this was Black Lives Matter. This was MoveOn.org. This was a rent-a-mob. This mob had been bought and paid for. They were there for the express purpose to shut down the Trump appearance, and they were celebrating after they succeeded in doing so.<\/p>\n<p>The event had not even started.<\/p>\n<p>There wasn\u2019t a Trump supporter that did a thing to any of these people.<\/p>\n<p>They showed up. This is all bought and paid for by the Democrat Party and its donors: George Soros, MoveOn.org. It goes on. The list is long. It\u2019s the same bunch of people that were in Ferguson, Missouri, the same bunch of people that were in Baltimore, the same bunch of people that have been in Berkeley, the same bunch of people that rioted for Rodney King and the OJ trial. It\u2019s the same crowd. Different names of the organizations, same people. It\u2019s all leftists. It is all intolerant leftists. And, in fact, grab audio sound bite number four. Saturday at the Democrat National Committee fundraising event in Dallas, President Obama&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>OBAMA: And what\u2019s been happening in our politics lately, it\u2019s not an accident. For years we\u2019ve been told we should be angry about America and that the economy\u2019s a disaster and that we\u2019re weak and that compromise is weakness, and that you can ignore science and you can ignore facts and say whatever you want about the president and feed suspicion about immigrants and Muslims and poor people and people who aren\u2019t like us.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Sorry, Mr. President, that\u2019s not gonna work here, making it look like you\u2019re an innocent bystander here while all this raucous protesting is going on, brought about by the unfair treatment of you. Let\u2019s go back September 17, 2008, in Elko, Nevada, during a campaign event, Senator Barack Obama running for president&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>OBAMA: I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to \u2019em whether they\u2019re independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with \u2019em and get in their face.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZCMDur9CDZ4\" width=\"585\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>RUSH: &#8220;Get in their face.&#8221; And Obama\u2019s protesters have been in our face since he encouraged it back in 2008. But who was it in 1968? It was a bunch of leftists and anti-war protesters then who were protesting the Democrat National Convention, in Chicago, of all places. The left owns this. Do you remember Obama? Here\u2019s a Politico story from June 14th of 2008. &#8220;Senator Obama&#8230;&#8221; It\u2019s a Politico story, and Obama was in Philadelphia, and he said, &#8220;If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun, because from what I understand, folks in Philadelphia like a good brawl. I\u2019ve seen Eagles fans.&#8221; And I couldn\u2019t believe it that McCain and the Republican national committee actually pounced on that line and used it to illustrate what Obama was doing.<\/p>\n<p>So this idea that Trump\u2019s responsible for this?<\/p>\n<p>It just isn\u2019t the case, folks.<\/p>\n<p>Do not lose sight of who does this.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: So it\u2019s Obama. &#8220;Get in their face. They bring a knife, you bring a gun. Get in their face. I want you to argue with them.&#8221; Look, folks, Donald Trump supporters are not leaving Trump events and going to Hillary events or going to Bernie Sanders events and beating people upside the head. Trump supporters are minding their own business.<\/p>\n<p>Now, look. Don\u2019t misunderstand me on this, but I\u2019m telling you this is crucial. This is why I have been so hell-bent over the years that people understand the left, that people get an ideological education and they understand what we\u2019re dealing with here, because disruptive, intolerant, violent public protest is wholly owned by the Democrat Party. It\u2019s an entire subsidiary of the American left and the Democrat. They own it; it\u2019s part of their operational blueprint. They are there to shut people down. They are there to deny people their presence on the field.<\/p>\n<p>We talk about a level playing field. They don\u2019t want a level playing field. They don\u2019t want an opponent on the field. Their objective is to shut down. It\u2019s happening on college campus. It\u2019s happening everywhere in America. They\u2019re intolerant. They do not want to hear anything they disagree with. There is no First Amendment. There is no open exchange of ideas. There\u2019s nothing but authoritarian shut-them-downism. And it\u2019s not the Trump people that are doing it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But, Rush, but Rush, I saw that Trump guy hit the guy at the Trump rally.&#8221; Yeah, who started it? Who shows up with the express purpose of disrupting the event? Bernie Sanders supporters. Bernie Sanders supporters, whether they\u2019re from the Bernie campaign or not, Hillary supporters, Democrats are infiltrating, trying to get in there.<\/p>\n<p>This clown that nearly got to the stage at the event in Dayton on Saturday, I did a little investigation to find out who this clown is, this 22-year-old guy named Tommy DiMassimo. He is a leftist through and through. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.powerlineblog.com\/archives\/2016\/03\/who-attacked-donald-trump.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John Hinderaker at Power Line<\/a> did a great bit of investigation into this guy, as have a number of others.<\/p>\n<p>Now, if you read about this guy on the left, he\u2019s written about with great praise and courage, but the fact of the matter is he is a committed leftist from a deeply liberal Democrat, radical leftist family in Georgia. He went there to shut Trump up. And the idea that Trump is encouraging this? Some people want to say that when protesters show up at Trump\u2019s event that Trump\u2019s encouraging his supporters to be violent against them. Remember what\u2019s happening here. Look, I have no defense &#8212; it\u2019s not the point here. This wouldn\u2019t be happening if these people were not infiltrating and getting into Trump events. It\u2019s these people who are starting the misbehavior.<\/p>\n<p>And I\u2019m gonna tell you something else. You may not like hearing it, but there are all kinds of reasons why Trump is getting the support he\u2019s getting, and this is one of them. I\u2019m here to tell you that a bunch of Republican voters &#8212; and I don\u2019t care whatever else they are; they\u2019re evangelicals, they\u2019re men, they\u2019re women, they\u2019re old, young, whatever, there\u2019s a huge number of Republicans for my entire life who have been slowly simmering that there\u2019s never any push-back on this kind of stuff. That there is never any opposition to the left and its radicals destroying events, shutting events down, committing violence, blowing up buildings or what have you.<\/p>\n<p>Donald Trump is the first Republican candidate in my lifetime who, in the middle of the one of these things, openly says, &#8220;Get them outta here&#8221; instead of trying to engage them fairly and have a discussion with them or talk about how wonderful the First Amendment is or the right to dissent. It\u2019s a one-way street here. The left has, just like everything else they do, they have gotten away with being able to shut down, to destroy and then with their allies in the press, mischaracterize what goes on at these Republican events, for years, not just this campaign, but for years.<\/p>\n<p>Code Pink, I don\u2019t care who we\u2019re talking about here. Cindy Sheehan, the Iraq war, the number of people that are getting into Senate hearings? How\u2019d they get in there? Had to be getting invitations from Democrat senators to get into those things. Some people that don\u2019t support Trump are happy to see the way he deals with this at his rallies. &#8220;Get them out of here. Get \u2019em outta here.&#8221; People are there to hear Trump. They\u2019re not there to hear a debate. They\u2019re not there to see Trump engage these people. And that\u2019s not what these people want. These people are trying to shut down not just Trump, but any other Republican that they become frightened of.<\/p>\n<p>Take you back to my question. Why in the world are they protesting Trump now? We\u2019re still in the primaries. Why now? I\u2019m leaving that open. There may be some obvious answers. But here\u2019s what happened in Dayton, Ohio, on Saturday. Trump was speaking in an airplane hangar there at the Dayton airport. And all of a sudden you\u2019re watching it and you see Trump give a startled look, his mouth flies open, he looks behind him and looks down, but you don\u2019t see that \u2019til you review it. Really what you see is these four or five Secret Service agents storming the stage, Trump looking behind him and, &#8220;What happened? What happened? What happened?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Then it replays either in slow-mo or whatever and you see, if you get the right angle, you see the guy jumping the fence and making his move on the stage. And what he says he wanted to do was just stop Trump and get up there and call Trump a racist. He wanted to take Trump\u2019s microphone away from him and call Trump a racist. But he wanted to shut down the event. Who is the guy? Tommy DiMassimo.<\/p>\n<p>Now, Trump originally suggested the guy could be an ISIS sympathizer but the reason he thought that was because there was some hoax thing on Twitter or Facebook, I forget which one, that had this guy portrayed as an ISIS member, but it was somebody that hoaxed it. It was not genuine. But the guy was photographed standing on top of and stomping on an American flag. He is a fourth year acting major at Wright University. A four-year acting major. So he\u2019s just biding his time. He\u2019s just in school \u2019cause it\u2019s someplace to be. His age is reported as anywhere from 22 to 32. He\u2019s from Georgia. His father\u2019s a schoolteacher. His mother is a deeply involved, committed radical leftist in their town in Georgia. They come from Cobb County.<\/p>\n<p>On his Facebook page Tommy DiMassimo proclaims his hate for America. Makes no bones about it. He\u2019s a Bernie Sanders supporter. The media will no doubt treat this as irrelevant. The media, in fact, in many places is praising this guy as a young example of dissent, this is the kind of greatness, this is the kind of thing we had when we formed and founded our country. This is this kind of trace backs to history that leads to our greatness, so forth. This is nothing of the sort. This guy\u2019s a rabble-rousing, America hating, classical America hating leftist. As such, he\u2019s a mainstream Democrat.<\/p>\n<p>He has a little manifesto up on Facebook. This is a part of it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Let\u00c2\u2019s get rid of unions. Let\u00c2\u2019s get rid of economic regulation. Let\u2019s allow every act of religious freedom to get passed. Let\u00c2\u2019s never hold police accountable because their jobs are hard. Let\u00c2\u2019s continue to spend trillions to [sic] the military industrial complex. Let\u00c2\u2019s never address our ecological crisis. Let\u00c2\u2019s just give them everything they want. I want them to see what the world they want truly looks like.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>You know, we have people on our side, &#8220;Let Clinton win so everybody will find out what a rotten guy he is and how bad the Democrats are, what the country will come.&#8221; That\u2019s his thinking. He believes, actually, the opposite of all of that. (interruption) Is he gay? I don\u2019t know. I can\u2019t tell if someone is. Until you asked me I had no idea if he\u2019s gay. No idea. Anyway, that\u2019s who the guy is, and there\u2019s nothing virtuous about him. There\u2019s nothing that you can trace back in the form of greatness to the American founding.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s just your average Bernie Sanders-supporting anarchist, crazed radical leftist, and that\u2019s who it is that does all of this. I know a lot of people are very angry at Trump for a whole host of reasons, and they want to try to make the case that Trump is equally responsible because of what he says during these protests at his rallies. I\u2019m gonna tell you, you may say two wrongs don\u2019t make a right, fine and dandy. But don\u2019t forget where this stuff starts. It all starts with the Democrat Party. It all starts with leftist radicals.<\/p>\n<p>Barack Obama actively, as a candidate, encouraged taking &#8220;a gun to a knife fight&#8221;, &#8220;getting in people\u2019s faces,&#8221; and arguing with them. And his people did it. How many Tea Party rallies did union people show up and actually engage in violence, and there wasn\u2019t any hand-wringing over it! The Drive-Bys pretty much ignored it. But the thing that you have to remember is, Trump\u2019s supporters are not infiltrating Sanders rallies or Hillary rallies. If they went to a Hillary rally, they\u2019d be the only ones there. Now, you may say that Trump supporters are engaging in violence and people&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, but they\u2019re minding their own business until these people come up and start beating up on them or harassing them or shoving them and trying to disrupt the Trump event. It\u2019s a one-way street here. Now, we can argue whether the way Trump deals with it is wise or not, but Trump is not at the root of this. And there are a lot of people trying to get rid of Trump, defeat Trump, thinking this would be the way to do it. It may be. I don\u2019t know. But he\u2019s not responsible for this. His rally hadn\u2019t even started on Friday night in Chicago.<\/p>\n<p>There hadn\u2019t been a thing take place.<\/p>\n<p>Trump canceled it in advance for whatever reason. He says he canceled it for safety and security reasons. He says he talked to the cops. The local cops said, no, he never talked to them. So there\u2019s some disagreement about that, but Trump apparently unilaterally canceled the event. For whatever reason, it didn\u2019t happen. And still, in celebration, the protestors poured out into the streets. It looked like Chicago 1968 all over again minus the fires. Even after they got what they wanted, they\u2019re out there bragging, shaking hands, applauding.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We shut Trump down! We shut Trump down!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re still out there raising hell. Don\u2019t forget who they are.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Let me tell you how this manifests itself, folks. I\u2019m holdings here in my formerly nicotine-stained fingers&#8230; Somebody actually sent me a black-and-white picture of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. It\u2019s a picture of Trump standing at a rally in St. Louis. He was there on Saturday. Can I read you the caption of this picture? &#8220;Donald Trump addresses a campaign rally in St. Louis. He was scheduled to go to Chicago for a rally but canceled it as his supporters became violent.&#8221; Now, see? This is my whole point.<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"eZObject_119468\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/ObamaOccupyOakland.jpg\" align=\"middle\" \/><br \/>\nHis supporters never &#8220;became violent.&#8221; His supporters were there in anticipation of him showing up. They started to show up. But it was not Trump supporters that got angry. They didn\u2019t get violent. They weren\u2019t protesting anything. They were invaded by a bunch of leftists Bernie supporters. Look, I\u2019ll tell you who this is. It\u2019s Black Lives Matter, which used to be Occupy Wall Street, which used to be some anarchist groups. It\u2019s the same bunch of people they\u2019re out there protesting global warming. They\u2019re protesting for feminazism. It\u2019s the same bunch of people.<\/p>\n<p>Many of them are rented.<\/p>\n<p>Many of them have to be purchased to show up. But I wonder how many other leftist rags a story similar to this caption ran. He &#8220;was scheduled to go to Chicago for a rally but canceled it as his supporters became violent.&#8221; His supporters have never been violent. His supporters have never started violence. His supporters have never been to a Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders rally. That is not what Republicans do. Anyway, this is why I have been so insistent over the years that people understand the difference between liberalism and conservatism.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Now, I checked the e-mail during the break and there\u2019s some people saying, &#8220;Rush, you keep saying Trump\u2019s innocent here. Trump\u2019s just like Obama, Rush! Trump\u2019s been out there telling his people, &#8216;Punch \u2019em in the face! Get \u2019em outta here! Kick \u2019em outta here! Get rid of \u2019em.&#8221; I understand that, but Trump is being creamed for that. The Drive-By Media\u2019s all over him. It\u2019s all part of trying to blame Trump for it.<\/p>\n<p>My only point is &#8212; and I don\u2019t want to get caught up in this two-wrongs-don\u2019t-make-a-right business. I understand that. But I do believe: Who started it? If there were not protesters in Trump\u2019s rallies, Trump wouldn\u2019t be behaving the way he is. But I\u2019m just here to tell you&#8230; You can believe me or not, but I am here to tell you that Trump\u2019s behavior, when his events are interrupted, is one of the reasons why his legion of supporters love him. You might think it\u2019s crass. You might think it\u2019s crude. You might think it\u2019s dangerous.<\/p>\n<p>You might think it\u2019s inciteful, that it would be better if Donald would politely ask them to leave, or if Donald Trump wouldn\u2019t say anything; just send his security guys in there to escort them out, and therefore nobody would know. Donald should ignore the protest, not acknowledge it; should you not steer the media cameras to the protests and instead quietly deal with it and so forth. Well, that\u2019s not who he is. He sees an opportunity to score points and further establish his identity with his crowd. And I don\u2019t know how to say this, other than the way I\u2019ve said it.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t also misunderstand any justification here. I know it\u2019s sometimes tough to weed through a tone of voice, but I\u2019ll just tell you: I\u2019m one of them. I have been so livid over the years at what the left gets away with on these protest marches, starting back in the sixties when I was a teenager, high school, first year of college &#8212; well, first semester \u2019cause I didn\u2019t finish the second semester. But I was livid at it and I have been livid at it ever since. I have been more livid at the way Republicans don\u2019t deal with it.<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"eZObject_119473\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/FlagCultural-Rot.jpg\" align=\"middle\" \/><br \/>\nAnd then I\u2019ve been livid with it when it was happening in Ferguson, when it happens on college campuses, when it happens any presidential campaign the Republicans are raging waging, or any campaign when it happens in Baltimore. This stuff ticks me off. All this private property destruction is being tolerated as some sort of free speech expression, or we\u2019re supposed to understand the rage. We\u2019re not to condemn it. We\u2019re to understand why their grievances exist and we\u2019re to understand that their grievances are legitimate.<\/p>\n<p>Screw that! As far as I\u2019m concerned, I don\u2019t know what it is that gives people the right to destroy people\u2019s private property. I don\u2019t see where the Constitution becomes a suicide pact in that regard. And I\u2019m just here to tell that there are whole lot of people at these Trump rallies and people who support Trump who, when they see him reacting this way to people who are trying to disrupt, interrupt, and shut down his events&#8230; He\u2019s not tolerant of it, and he wants these people made an example of. He wants them thrown out so that others are dissuaded from trying it again.<\/p>\n<p>Not that that\u2019s gonna work with this crowd \u2019cause they\u2019re being paid to do this. But his audience loves it, folks. I\u2019m just telling you: His supporters love it. It\u2019s the kind of action that people associate with decisiveness, courage, or what have you. But more than anything, it\u2019s Trump showing he\u2019s not gonna take anything from anybody. And so many people that support Trump are sick and tired of having to take it, having been told, &#8220;We have to take it.&#8221; We have leaders that take it and don\u2019t shut it down and react to it. The protest march has been looked at, is seen by many on the right as a never-ending Democrat Party victory every time it happens.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re sick and tired of.<\/p>\n<p>Gabby Giffords gets shot out in Arizona? They\u2019re sick and tired of protest marchers claiming it\u2019s Sarah Palin\u2019s fault, and nobody on the Republican side standing up and denouncing that. Oh, yeah, because Sarah Palin somehow had a logo on her website with some map in some crosshairs. So that supposedly angered the guy out there and he went nuts shooting people at a shopping center. And it turns out the guy was a rabid leftist. He\u2019d never been to Sarah Palin\u2019s website. Or there\u2019s a movie theater shooting, and Brian Ross at ABC News immediately tries to find out whether the guy\u2019s a member of the Tea Party.<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"eZObject_119474\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/LiberalismPIX.jpg\" align=\"middle\" \/><br \/>\nPeople are fed up with this.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re fed up with being blamed. They\u2019re fed up with being impugned. They\u2019re fed up with being denigrated, lied about, accused of doing things they don\u2019t do, accused of thinking things they don\u2019t think; accused of being racist, bigot, sexist, homophobes when they\u2019re not. So. Like much of everything else, here\u2019s a guy standing up to it and telling these people effectively to go to hell, to get the hell out of here. It\u2019s not a mystery to me. It\u2019s not a mystery to me why people supporting Trump applaud that.<\/p>\n<p>And when he tells people in his audience, &#8220;Man, I wish I\u2019d punched \u2019em in the face; I\u2019ll even pay the legal fees! Take \u2019em out. I\u2019ll pay the legal fees.&#8221; &#8220;That\u2019s horrible. Trump shouldn\u2019t say that. That\u2019s horrible.&#8221; Well, he\u2019s being condemned for it. It\u2019s not like he\u2019s being praised for that, other than by his own supporters. But, I mean, the Drive-Bys are all over him for it. And because of that they\u2019re trying to make it out to be his fault. Because what they want to do at the end of the day is denigrate every Donald Trump supporter as a Neanderthal, kook, fringe idiot or what have you.<\/p>\n<p>And like every one of these things in the past, this is bought and paid for &#8212; and brought to you by &#8212; the radical left and the Democrat Party. Do you know that Bill Ayers was even part of the rally in Chicago on Friday? Friend of Obama\u2019s. Yeah. Big friend of Obama\u2019s: Bill Ayers. Reverend Wright would have been there, but he couldn\u2019t have caught a plane to get there on time. He would have been there. Certainly people like him would have been there. Where do you think this stuff comes from? Black Lives Matter, Occupy Wall Street, you name it. They\u2019re all bought-and-paid-for organizations. Because what has Trump been saying? I\u2019m getting Democrats, I\u2019m getting independents, I\u2019m getting the people who the Republican establishment want me to get, so why is it happening now? And you saw them, they\u2019re in full gear in Chicago. And, by the way, did you hear: &#8220;This is our town, you stay out of our town. This is our town. You stay away from our mayor. You stay away. It\u2019s our town, we\u2019re destroying it because we don\u2019t like it the way it is. He\u2019s in our pocket, you leave us alone. How about all of the mainstream media opinion pieces on how Trump is Hitler? The Washington Post has had a couple columnists write seriously how Trump is Hitler and Chris Christie is Joseph Goebbels. I\u2019m not kidding. You\u2019ve had the New York Times, you\u2019ve had New Yorker or New York Magazine, I forget which, they\u2019ve done pieces on how Trump is the modern day Hitler or Mussolini. This stuff doesn\u2019t just get written and then fade away. Remember who reads this stuff. I mean, the people that read the New York Times, folks, you wouldn\u2019t recognize them. It\u2019s a collectivist bunch of radicals like you wouldn\u2019t believe. And almost the same thing now with the Washington Post.<\/p>\n<p>And then you put those pieces, excerpts of those pieces in Twitter and on Facebook and have that stuff circulating through the cesspool of human debris that lives in the sewers of Twitter, and it isn\u2019t gonna be long before these radical anarchists get in gear and start trying to shut down and prevent the next Hitler. And it\u2019s not Republicans out there saying that. It\u2019s people that write for the Washington Post. There\u2019s been a couple of them in the post. One of them was a woman, a professor, maybe at Harvard, I forget which, but she was dead serious that Trump is Hitler.<\/p>\n<p>So when you want to start assigning blame, look, I know a lot of you think that Trump is partially culpable \u2019cause of what he\u2019s advocating happen to these protesters when they show up at his events. All well and good, but his supporters are not leaving his events and going over to Crazy Bernie\u2019s or Hillary\u2019s and trying to wreak havoc. It isn\u2019t happening. There aren\u2019t any protesters at Bernie Sanders rallies, or at Hillary\u2019s rallies. Speaking of Hillary. Get this. A NewsMax story. The headline: &#8220;World Leaders Asking to Endorse Me to Stop Trump.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The story is that world leaders are calling Hillary Clinton privately to ask if they can endorse her in hopes of stopping Trump, and she\u2019s the source of the story. &#8220;I am already receiving messages from leaders. I\u2019m having foreign leaders ask if they can endorse me to stop Donald Trump.&#8221; She said it last night in a CNN Democrat candidate forum. &#8220;And I\u2019m like, no, this is up to Americans. Thank you very much.&#8221; What a crock this is. What an absolute crock.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Clinton, let me tell you something. You better shut up about this or you\u2019re gonna do yourself great harm. The last people American voters want to hear from is foreign leaders on your side. They are considered the problem. All these globalist internationalists that pay you all this money to do speeches, they are the problem. And you proudly say they\u2019re calling asking to endorse you and you\u2019re saying no, American voters decide what happens in America. I don\u2019t believe it\u2019s even true. Okay, Trump got a whole weekend\u2019s worth of coverage out of it instead of just whatever hour and a half he does for 20,000 people at one of his rallies. But did he win this coverage or not?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, he won it through his own genius.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, but I mean you got people out there blaming him for it.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, Gutierrez, our friend Luis spent the week rallying the folks down around the campus. I heard that. But he had to know. He has to know. So going into the University of Chicago, look, I\u2019ve heard a bunch of people say, &#8220;What did he think was gonna happen? He\u2019s going into a university in Chicago? I mean, it\u2019s the last &#8211;&#8221; But I\u2019ve not heard anybody speculate he did it on purpose for publicity\u2019s sake. I mean, you may be right.<\/p>\n<p>I didn\u2019t go there because he doesn\u2019t need the publicity. It\u2019s not as though he\u2019s getting the short shrift. We had some audio sound bites on this. Let\u2019s get to them. I have been keeping them in reserve. We\u2019ll start with the Today show. First off, this is F. Chuck Todd. This is yesterday on, I guess it would be Meet the Press. And F. Chuck says, &#8220;Do you plan on paying for the legal fees for this older gentleman in North Carolina who sucker punched the protester?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>TRUMP: Well, I\u2019m not aware. I will say this, I do want to see what that young man was doing, because he was very taunting, he was very loud, very disruptive and from what I understand he was sticking a certain finger up in the air.<\/p>\n<p>TODD: It\u2019s possible you could help him with legal fees if this man needs it?<\/p>\n<p>TRUMP: I\u2019ve actually instructed my people to look into it, yes.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Okay, now, this is the incident in North Carolina where an African-American protester is in the midst of a Trump rally and some guy turns around and cold cocks him, 78-year-old cowboy, and they go to the cowboy, the news media finds the guy (imitating cowboy), &#8220;Damn right I\u2019m gonna clock the son of&#8211; And I will tell you what, next time he\u2019s gonna die.&#8221; And everyone, &#8220;Oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God, the Trump supporter said next time, oh my, oh my!&#8221; And the vapors and the panic all set in.<\/p>\n<p>And so now Trump is (imitating Trump), &#8220;Yeah, hell, yes, but I understand that guy started it. He stuck a certain finger in the air, Chuck. My guy didn\u2019t start it. I\u2019m not aware. I want to see this, \u2019cause this guy was being taunted.&#8221; And he\u2019s admitting he\u2019s looking into paying the legal fees. So Chuck Todd next says, &#8220;I want to ask you about that moment in Dayton yesterday where the guy almost got up on the sage with you. It looked like a scary moment there. You praised the Secret Service but then you said the man had ties to ISIS, which turned out to be a hoax. Did you go over the top there on that? What did you get out of that?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>TRUMP: What we did was put out what he had on his Internet. He\u2019s dragging the flag, the American flag, which I respect obviously more than you, he was dragging the American flag on the ground like it was a piece of garbage, okay? I don\u2019t like that, and a lot of people don\u2019t like that. And he also had chatter about ISIS, or with ISIS, and you take a look at it. I mean, people are looking at it very seriously now, but you have to check it before you ask the question.<\/p>\n<p>TODD: Well, no, that\u2019s what I &#8212; we have checked it. That\u2019s my point, sir. There\u2019s no ties to ISIS for this man, no law enforcement official. And this video that you linked to appears to be a hoax.<\/p>\n<p>TRUMP: Okay, you just &#8212; look. Well, was it a hoax that he\u2019s dragging the flag?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: No, it\u2019s not a hoax who the guy was. The guy is a committed leftist. His two parents are leftists. His Facebook page says he hates America, he doesn\u2019t like it, he wants to overthrow it and overturn it. He\u2019s a perfect Obama voter. He\u2019s a four-year drama major, acting major, whatever it is, at Wright University. He\u2019s either 22 or 32, they can\u2019t figure out which. In the Trump world, the guy\u2019s a loser and he nearly got to the stage and now the media is trying to make a hero out of this. See, this is the way this works. We go to CNN Newsroom last night, correspondent Martin Savidge interviewed Tommy DiMassimo, and they\u2019re talking about his effort to get on stage and disrupt the Trump event.<\/p>\n<p>DIMASSIMO: The idea that they now feel like they\u2019re under attack is ironic and laughable because they\u2019ve been the ones who have been doing the actual attacking to other people. I in no way harmed anyone, intended to harm anyone. I\u2019m not a member of ISIS. I have no known ties to ISIS. I\u2019ve never been out of the country. I only speak English.<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"eZObject_119500\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/503927392_large.jpg\" align=\"right\" \/><br \/>\nRUSH: Yeah, well, you\u2019re a lot of others things. Martin Savidge then continued. He really wanted to get in the guy\u2019s head, wanted to find something redeeming about this guy. So he says, &#8220;Well, what were you thinking, Tommy? What were you thinking?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>DIMASSIMO: Uhh, I was thinking that Donald Trump is a bully, and he is nothing more than that. He is somebody who is just saying a lot of bold things. He\u2019s making bold claims. But I can see right through that, and I can see that he\u2019s truly just a coward.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Okay, stop the tape \u2019cause I want to go to the next bite and I got a time problem. So Martin Savidge says, &#8220;You obviously purposely got yourself in that area.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>DIMASSIMO: I waited in line to make sure that I would be close to the front. When he finally got there, he came in with, uhh, 10, maybe Secret Service, 12. One was standing up directly in front of me, facing me the whole time. And the other was right behind him with his foot on the stair. To my left there was a six-foot tall guy right there. In between them, there was a small gap, and I said I was gonna have to time out the moment when these two &#8212; \u2019cause they look around. When these two were looking that way, the guy over here is looking that way and I\u2019ll have a sliver of a chance to run between them.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: They\u2019re trying to make a hero of this guy who wanted do get to get on stage and do whatever he says he wanted to do or not.
