RUSH: Speaking of the campaign, Jeb Bush has called Marco Rubio the GOP\u2019s Obama. Did you see that? And the word is that Jeb is gonna come out flaming in the debate tomorrow night. The problem with Jeb Bush calling Rubio the Republican Party\u2019s Obama is coming from Jeb you don\u2019t know whether it\u2019s a compliment or a hit. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Bill in Logan, Iowa. Yeah, Bill, great to have you on the program. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hello, Rush. Dittos. Hey, I\u2019m calling about Jeb Bush\u2019s comment about Marco Rubio being the Barack Obama of Republicans. To me, that demonstrates how out of touch Jeb Bush is in that he thinks Barack Obama\u2019s biggest issue is the fact that he was a novice or a rookie. Um, I don\u2019t know. That\u2019s all I could read into that comment that he made.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That was curious. Jeb thinks it\u2019s a profound insult of Rubio to say he\u2019s the GOP Obama. You think he was referring to lack of experience in the Senate?<\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: I couldn\u2019t figure out what else he was relating it to.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, \u2019cause I don\u2019t know what Jeb disagrees with Obama about! So I don\u2019t know what the criticism would be.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. To me, it was just the fact that he didn\u2019t have enough experience going in.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, here. I think we have an answer. CNN. Grab sound bite number 24. Wolf Blitzer talked to Jeb\u2019s communication director, Tim Miller, and he said, “Look, Marco Rubio. Been some bad blood apparently lately between Jeb and Marco. How\u2019s Jeb gonna deal with Marco Rubio? Why is Jeb better qualified to be president than Rubio is?”<\/p>\n

MILLER: We took a risky bet with President Obama seven years ago. That didn\u2019t work out. I think what the voters are looking for is somebody who has proven experience to get the country on the right track.<\/p>\n

BLITZER: So Rubio would be a risky bet like President Obama was? Is that the impression I should have?<\/p>\n

MILLER: Yeah, look, it\u2019s not known. You know, Marco has not shown the leadership abilities to actually get things done, to actually have accomplishments. I mean, this is a huge contrast with Jeb.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So there you go, Bill. It is an insult rooted in the fact that Rubio is the same inexperienced doofus that Obama was. <\/p>\n

CALLER: (silence)<\/p>\n

RUSH: I guess Bill hung up. Bill didn\u2019t realize that he had a golden opportunity to comment on the sound bite. Well, when I heard that, the first thing I thought of, “A-ha! Rubio is the donors\u2019 second go-to guy, and that\u2019s why Jeb\u2019s hitting him.” Jeb\u2019s hitting Rubio because Rubio is who the donors want if Jeb flames out.
