RUSH: Benjamin Netanyahu, at this moment, is addressing the General Assembly of the United Nations, saying that Israel is not gonna allow Iran to go nuclear. He\u2019s not gonna stand there any longer and put up with it. He says, “We are not gonna allow…” His words. “We are not gonna allow a genocidal regime a free and clear path to weapons to wipe out Israel.” We are not gonna. Now, that might awaken Obama from whatever he\u2019s focused on here on where transgenders urinate and defecate<\/a>, which seems to be the White House focus of the day, which is why I\u2019m convinced that aliens have already landed here and are living amongst us. (interruption)<\/p>\n

Aliens have a place to pee! Aliens don\u2019t need to pee. See, this is the thing people don\u2019t understand. Aliens don\u2019t need to do anything to humans. Aliens are so much smarter, the aliens are so advanced. We are… We are mere singular organisms compared to the superiority of the aliens. That\u2019s why they can disguise themselves among us. Yeah. So that\u2019s gonna arouse Obama. Obama\u2019s gonna… See, I have a theory about the Middle East. I think all the stuff in Syria? I think he sends Kerry out there to huff and puff and act like it matters, but I don\u2019t think he really cares.<\/p>\n

I think Obama has one singular focus in the Middle East, and that\u2019s Iran. And I hate to say this, but I\u2019m just basing it on what I observe, combined with my intelligence guided by experience, and I\u2019m sadly convinced that Obama\u2019s mission here is to make sure that Iran does indeed go nuclear and is able to dominate that region. I don\u2019t know how you can conclude otherwise. We\u2019ve gone out of our way to accommodate this regime since Obama assumed office. And, again, I think that\u2019s more than legacy building. There\u2019s something… I don\u2019t know. <\/line><\/p>\n

It\u2019s frightening to me.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s something scarier than that going on. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Just moments ago at the United Nations, Benjamin Netanyahu was tearing into the UN for not objecting to getting Iran the nuclear bomb. Now, half of the UN is boycotting his speech. Half the place is not even there. I\u2019m a little surprised Obama\u2019s letting the US delegates attend. But they\u2019re there. Netanyahu just put on his diplomat cap and praised Obama and talked about the common ground that we share and the objectives that we have, and at that moment the camera cut to three members of the US delegation sitting there, and they were staring. <\/p>\n

They didn\u2019t look happy; they didn\u2019t look unhappy. They looked like they had to be there. Netanyahu did what he did, he said what he had to say, but this was after he had assured everybody that no matter what else, Israel is not just gonna sit idly by any longer while genocidal regimes ramp up with nuclear weapons. Now, this is gonna have an impact. Netanyahu\u2019s words are gonna have an impact, and my guess is I don\u2019t know how soon we\u2019ll see evidence TV, but Russia\/Putin is now going to have to, I think, take Netanyahu at his word. <\/p>\n

And if he does, he\u2019s going to be sending more anti-aircraft batteries and anti-missile defenses to Iran just like they\u2019ve done in Syria. Even though ISIS doesn\u2019t have any planes or missiles, we still have sent those kinds of weapons and deterrents in to Syria. By the way, there\u2019s all kinds of controversy over what we reported yesterday here on this program, that Putin did not bomb ISIS but instead bombed militant — well, I should say “moderate” — Syrian rebels who are our allies. Russia is denying it, the US is denying it, everybody\u2019s denying it.<\/p>\n

But if you look closely, you can find that it did indeed happen, and it continues to play out this way with the administration just not appearing to be in the game where all of this is concerned.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: To the phones we go to Cincinnati. Hey, Joe, I\u2019m glad you waited. It\u2019s great to have you on the program, sir. Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. It\u2019s good to be here. Longtime listener, first-time caller.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right to the point, I\u2019d just like to bring to people\u2019s attention, I know you were talking about the whole Iran deal. Of course I agree with you 100 percent, but the people that are gonna suffer the most from this are the service members, \u2019cause when they renege on their deal, which they will, we\u2019re gonna have to go over there and fight another war, and what do you think\u2019s gonna happen? More service members are gonna die. More taxes are gonna go up. The debt\u2019s gonna go up. I mean, look what happened with Clinton when he was in office. He decimated the military. Bush had to fight two wars, had to rebuild the military, and to his credit he did it without doubling the nation\u2019s debt, like the current administration. But I mean what\u2019s the reasoning behind people thinking that this is a good deal? It\u2019s not a good deal.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: You mean the Iran deal, the nuclear deal?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I don\u2019t know anybody serious who thinks it is. You have Democrats that have to be loyal to Obama and the party, even just rank-and-file average citizen voter Democrats. But outside of people who have to be loyal to it by virtue of bias, I don\u2019t know anybody who thinks it\u2019s a good deal. This business of going to war, see, I don\u2019t think that\u2019s a lock. If it wasn\u2019t worth going to war to prevent them getting a nuke, then why in the world is going to be? What kind of war are you thinking is gonna happen? It\u2019s gonna take them launching a nuke. It\u2019s gonna take them launching a nuke at somebody.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, because they said they\u2019re not gonna have one but we\u2019ll get information that\u2019s saying, “Oh, they got one. We gotta go over there.” Just like when Bush sent us to Iraq, we gotta go get \u2019em.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The purpose of this deal is to permit them to get a nuke. You can disagree about what time frame. But the deal permits them to get one. It\u2019s done, folks. That\u2019s it.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: I mentioned that Netanyahu went to the General Assembly today to address it, and it was powerful. Half the place walked out. The American delegation stayed, however. But half of the UN General Assembly delegation was not in the building. It\u2019s really amazing. Netanyahu is a courageous and brave guy. He said what he said, and he just stared at the Star Wars cantina scene in front of him, which is what the audience at the UN is. And there was a moment in his speech — his theme was that they were not going to sit in silence any longer when genocidal or wild genocidal regimes nuke up. It was a direct statement at Iran. And in the midst of the US and the P5 plus one nations deal with Iran that guarantees them a nuke at some point down the line, could be next month, could be ten years, it\u2019s widely unknown but it\u2019s feared that it\u2019s sooner than later, Netanyahu said we\u2019re not going to sit silent and we\u2019re not going to allow it to happen. <\/p>\n

And at one point in his speech he stood there and said nothing for 44 seconds. He had a 44-second moment of silence. His speech excoriating members of the UN General Assembly for supporting the deal with Iran, saying it makes war more likely, but it was during an intense 44-second moment of silence that Netanyahu\u2019s condemnation of the UN was heard loudest. Netanyahu said that the response from the UN to Iran\u2019s threats against Israel had been utter silence, deafening silence, before staring down the attendees for nearly a minute without saying a word. <\/p>\n

Do you know how uncomfortable that makes people? You know, sometimes a mistake happens here at the EIB Network. A computer doesn\u2019t fire off an element of sound or microphone switch doesn\u2019t work, and it ends up that there is silence here, and we highly trained broadcast specialists refer to that as dead air. And I have never been afraid of dead air. I think dead air is one of the biggest attention getters in the world. Five seconds of dead air never hurt anybody. Have you ever seen what happens, if you\u2019re watching television, and something happens to the picture and it goes black, what happens? Everybody straightens up. Everybody focuses their attention on the screen and waits for it to get fixed. Everybody. Even people only casually watching will have their attention riveted. <\/p>\n

Well, I, again highly trained broadcast specialist, strategically use dead air. I don\u2019t get to use it as much as I used to. You know why? Because some of our affiliate stations have computers that are essentially running commercials and what other sound elements there are during commercial breaks, and they are programmed to fire up anything if there\u2019s more than two seconds of silence, because it is assumed that something\u2019s wrong. <\/line><\/p>\n

Now, when I do dead air, I like to do five full seconds of it. But three will do. Three seconds will do. Five seconds is optimum. (dead air) See what I mean? Now, some of you whose stations are computerized, you\u2019ve got a commercial running right now because I triggered the automation unit with that much dead air. Netanyahu did 44 seconds of this, while staring at these people. (interruption) No, that\u2019s what I mean. He was glaring at \u2019em. He was staring at \u2019em. He was not smiling. And it makes you fidgety, it makes you nervous, because you know that he\u2019s speaking right to you when he\u2019s not saying a word. When he\u2019s just described something that\u2019s unacceptable and stops and stares at you, it can be as effective as any words that you utter. Now, naturally we can\u2019t play the 44 seconds of silence here. But that\u2019s why I spent some time here to describe it. Let\u2019s go to the Netanyahu sound bites. Here is the first of three.<\/p>\n

NETANYAHU: Last month, Khamenei once again made his genocidal intentions clear before Iran\u2019s top clerical body, the assembly of experts. He spoke about Israel, home to over six million Jews. He pledged, “There will be no Israel in 25 years.” Seventy years after the murder of six million Jews, Iran\u2019s rulers promised to destroy my country, murder my people, and the response from this body, the response from nearly every one of the governments represented here has been absolutely nothing, utter silence, deafening silence.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That is when he allowed 45 seconds to go by without saying a word. At that moment he stood mute for 45 seconds. When he resumed speaking…<\/p>\n

NETANYAHU: It\u2019s not easy to oppose something that is embraced by the greatest powers in the world. Believe me, it would be far easier to remain silent. But throughout our history, the Jewish people have learned the heavy price of silence, and as the prime minister of the Jewish state — as someone who knows that history — I refuse to be silent.<\/p>\n

UN: (applause)<\/p>\n

RUSH: We edited the applause, but it went on. Actually, I was kind of surprised by how much applause there was. Netanyahu\u2019s hated at this place. He\u2019s literally despised at this place. Now, half of the people that despise him were not there. They boycotted and didn\u2019t show up. But I think it goes to tell you something that Israel, Netanyahu — our number one ally in that region — is despised and hated. And yet Iranian speakers can get up, or Hugo Chavez when he was alive get up, and it\u2019s standing ovations, raucous standing ovations. It\u2019s because the United Nations is a joke of an organization and has been for a long time. It\u2019s aimed at fleecing the US, is essentially its purpose now. And here\u2019s the final bite we have from Netanyahu where he says they not gonna allow Iran to get nukes no matter what anybody else is doing or saying.<\/p>\n

NETANYAHU: Not being passive means speaking up about those dangers. We have, we are, we will. Not being passive also means defending ourselves against those dangers! We have, we are, and we will.<\/p>\n

UN: (applause)<\/p>\n

NETANYAHU: Israel will not allow Iran to break in, to sneak in, or to walk into the nuclear weapons club.<\/line><\/p>\n

UN: (applause)<\/p>\n

NETANYAHU: I know that preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons remains the official policy of the international community.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s a crock!<\/p>\n

NETANYAHU: But no one should question Israel\u2019s determination to defend itself against those who seek our destruction.<\/p>\n

RUSH: See, this is why people have a problem. What he said here\u2019s exactly right. “I know that preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons remains the official policy of the international community.” It may well represent the policy, but it\u2019s not the reality. Everybody that\u2019s paying attention here knows what has happened. People are running around saying, “We just did a deal! I\u2019m the first president in American history, world history to ever stop the bad guys from getting a nuke! I, Barack Hussein Obama!”<\/p>\n

When the fact of the matter is, in order to get them to sign anything he had to promise and assure that they will get a nuke down the road. Yet everybody runs around and applauds deal. “First president ever to stop nuclear proliferation!” It\u2019s just exact opposite, and this is why people have developed such a distrust and an animus toward politics, because it insults people\u2019s intelligence. And it furthermore becomes clear that the ultimate aim of politics for many is personal glory, personal achievement, personal accolades. Which is fine and dandy, except that\u2019s not what politics professes to be about. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
