Whenever we hear it, it could be Chris Christie.  This happened to be the chairman of the College Republican Association or whatever. She said, &#8220;As Republicans, we must react to all of this that\u2019s happening with dignity and respect.  We must be tolerant, dignified and respectful, because if we don\u2019t act dignified and respectful&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"eZObject_107749\" class=\"aligncenter\" align=\"middle\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/bohoosulu.jpg\"\/><BR\/>Meaning, if we don\u2019t just tolerate all this and shut up and let it happen, then the Millennials are going to hate us and never vote for us.  It\u2019s amazing how this happens.  Meanwhile, the left? They don\u2019t have to be dignified at all.  They can go out and destroy people.  They can lie about people.  They can make things up about people.  They can be undignified, disrespectful.  It never hurts them.  Latest example. (sigh)<\/line><\/p>\n<p>This is George Takei, who is considered a nice guy because he was on Star Trek.  Star Trek was a very popular science fiction show so he has to be a really cool and nice guy, because he\u2019s an actor who was on that show. So he\u2019s a nice guy.  He has to be a nice guy.  So he was on some YouTube channel being interviewed about gay marriage, and he had just finished Clarence Thomas\u2019 dissent, and this is what he said.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"eZObject_107742\" class=\"alignright\" align=\"right\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/clarence-thomas.jpg\"\/><BR\/>TAKEI:  He is a clown and black face sitting on the Supreme Court!  He gets me that angry! He doesn\u2019t belong there.  For him to say slaves had dignity? Doesn\u2019t he not know that slaves were enchained?  That they were whipped on the back?  If he saw the movie 12 Years as a Slave (sic), you know, they were raped.<\/line><\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Wow.  That\u2019s dignified.  That\u2019s respectful.  And totally misunderstanding.  But I\u2019m sorry, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/006056556X?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=theofficiw0c2-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=006056556X\">George Takei couldn\u2019t carry Clarence Thomas\u2019 schoolbooks<\/a>, judicial robe, or jockstrap. Take your pick.  But he wasn\u2019t finished&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>TAKEI:  My parents lost everything that they worked for in the middle of their lives in their 30s.  His business &#8212; my father\u2019s business &#8212; our home, our freedom, and we\u2019re supposed to call that dignified? Marched out of our homes at gun point?  I mean, this man does not belong in the Supreme Court.  He is an embarrassment.  He is a disgrace to America.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"MRC TV video player\" width=\"585\" height=\"315\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mrctv.org\/embed\/137086\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Something really set this guy off about what Justice Thomas said.  I don\u2019t believe Justice Thomas said slavery was &#8220;dignified.&#8221;  Regardless, George Takei is a &#8220;nice guy,&#8221; see?  He can say that.  That\u2019s not disrespectful or undignified at all, you see?<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Okay, folks, I went looking during the break to find out what it was that George Takei was so righteously, undignified, disrespectfully angry about.  And I found it.  Would you like to hear what Justice Thomas wrote in his dissent?  Here it is:  &#8220;Slaves did not lose their dignity (any more than they lost their humanity) because the government allowed them to be enslaved. Those held in internment camps did not lose their dignity because the government confined them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I think Takei, one of two things, either he purposely took it the wrong way just so he could get all self-righteous and indignant.  Because Takei, who is a nice man, of course.  He was on Star Trek.  How could he be anything other than cool and nice, right?  I mean, that\u2019s why Takei is a nice guy.  He was on Star Trek and everybody loves Star Trek.  And he\u2019s cool.  Truth is, Takei is one angry man.  George Takei in my &#8212; I\u2019m a nice guy, too.  In my estimation, George Takei personifies my theory that no matter how much the left gets, they\u2019re never satisfied and they\u2019re not happy.  They\u2019re winning everything and they\u2019re angrier and angrier.  They\u2019re winning everything in sight and they\u2019re miserable.  So miserable, they\u2019re looking for reasons to be angry. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"eZObject_107756\" class=\"aligncenter\" align=\"middle\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/Cake-b.jpg\"\/><BR\/>The other explanation is that Takei is not cultured enough to understand what Justice Thomas was saying.  Justice Thomas, when he writes slaves did not lose their dignity any more than they lost their humanity, is complimenting them.  Justice Thomas is writing praiseworthy of people.  No matter the injustice done to them, they did not lose their dignity, their self-identity.  He\u2019s complimentary.  He is praiseworthy. <\/line><\/p>\n<p>Now, Takei either doesn\u2019t have the culture himself to understand that or is simply looking for an excuse to pop off.  If you listen to what Takei said (imitating Takei), &#8220;What do you mean, dignity?  Why, slaves got chains on their backs, where\u2019s the dignity in that?&#8221;  He didn\u2019t say that.  He didn\u2019t say their treatment was dignified.  He said the way they comported themselves in the midst of this inhumanity was dignified.  The ultimate compliment! <\/p>\n<p>Now, does George Takei really not have the depth of character to understand that?  Or is he just looking for a cheap shot to get some outrageous comment publicized and noticed?  Which do you think it is, Mr. Snerdley?  You\u2019ll take B.  Just looking for an opportunity to pop off.  Yeah.  Well, yeah, he wants everybody to know he\u2019s a big activist.  I tell you something, what Justice Thomas wrote there, to me, is actually beautiful and an attempt here at presenting people as genuine champions of humanity.  They remained dignified.  They held on to their dignity while being so ill-treated and mistreated.  That\u2019s all he\u2019s saying here. <\/p>\n<p>Think otherwise.  Do you think <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/006056556X?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=theofficiw0c2-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=006056556X\">Clarence Thomas<\/a> would actually write, anybody would actually write that slaves lost their dignity and were undignified. It would be insulting to people.  Compare slavery to prisoners of war, if you will.  Prisoners of war are always &#8212; look at the way McCain is treated and heralded.  All prisoners of war are automatically assumed to be &#8212; we make movies about them.  Their spirit.  Their triumph.  That\u2019s all Thomas was doing.  It\u2019s just amazing to me.  But yet there has to be anger.  There has to be all this angst.  I have to get noticed.
