CALLER: Yeah, thanks, Rush. You are my hero. I have been listening to you from the very beginning.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wow.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I have two adult Rush Babies and two Rush grandchildren. Anyway, something you were saying the other day reminded me of a situation that happened to me back in 1969. I was in fifth grade and I had to do a book report. And, of course, Dick Tracy was one of my favorite comics, too. Anyway, in this book, it was Danny and something, computers, in that book, Danny did his homework on the computer. And in my book report I said, “In your lifetime you will see that you will be doing your work on computers and the kids will be doing their homework on the computers, and there will be a Dick Tracy watch.” And they laughed at me, including the teacher.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Really? This is 1969 they laughed at you?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And you were in the tenth grade then?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I was in fifth grade.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And they laughed at you.<\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But, I mean, Dick Tracy was alive and well, but Dick Tracy had been using a wrist radio for a long time, and it was nothing new then. I mean, Dick Tracy wasn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, right. Yes. That was comics.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. But the idea that it had the chance to take hold, but even in \u201969 they thought, no way, you\u2019re out of your mind? <\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, in 1969 I was 18, and I\u2019ll tell you, there were some people that thought by the year 2000 we would be the Jetsons.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And 2001: A Space Odyssey, we\u2019re gonna be going to Jupiter, people thought. That\u2019s kind of interesting. So here you called it, they laughed at you and you\u2019ve got the last word now.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right and now I just want to say, “Ha! Told you so.”<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wouldn\u2019t it be great if you knew they were listening?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, I hope. Especially Billy.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Do you have an Apple Watch?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Have you ordered one?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I can\u2019t afford it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Awww, I hate hearing that. Well, they\u2019re impossible to get still. I understand that in a couple of weeks they expect supply to catch up with demand.
