RUSH: “Photo of Marine Praying With Bride-to-Be Goes Viral<\/a>.” Have you heard about this? It\u2019s from North Carolina. It\u2019s Asheville. Now, Asheville, that\u2019s where one of the Vanderbilt estate is. I went to look at it before designing my estate. And it\u2019s just a huge — (laughing) Well, I did. It\u2019s a huge liberal enclave now. It is. But the fact that a story like this makes news, to me, is indicative of where the culture today is. You\u2019ll see what I\u2019ll talking about. Just a photo of a Marine praying with his bride before their wedding goes viral. <\/p>\n

Now, you\u2019re probably thinking, “So?” <\/p>\n

It\u2019s so unusual. It\u2019s so out of the norm. It\u2019s so extraordinary that it went viral all over social media because you just don\u2019t see it anymore, or you don\u2019t hear about it. “US Marine Cpl. Caleb Earwood wanted a moment to pray with his bride-to-be Maggie before their wedding ceremony on Saturday. Now, a photo of the couple holding hands in prayer has gone viral.<\/p>\n

“The ceremony was about to start in Asheville, N.C., when Caleb was guided to a cabin where Maggie was preparing for the service. The couple then joined their hands around a corner to not break the tradition of the groom seeing his bride before the altar.” He didn\u2019t see her, he just grabbed her hand around a corner. You love that, don\u2019t you, Dawn? “‘They hid me in a room and he stepped up on the stairwell and he stuck his hand out and I grabbed his hand,\u2019 Maggie Earwood told ABC News.<\/p>\n

“Caleb prayed for the couple\u2019s marriage, asking that their union be strong enough to serve as an example for young couples, as Maggie held back tears. ‘It broke me down,\u2019 Maggie said, ‘to know that we felt the same way about God. It just made me happy.'”<\/line><\/p>\n

It went viral. What does that tell you? I mean, seriously. It tells me there\u2019s a hunger for this stuff. It didn\u2019t go viral because the left is outraged and can\u2019t believe it, although that might have been the reaction they had, but that\u2019s not why it went viral. It went viral because this is a huge positive to people. This is a huge upper. Here you\u2019ve got a handsome Marine marrying the woman of his dreams, and they pray before the ceremony, but still not seeing each other, holding hands. <\/p>\n

Oh, my gosh. This is just too perfect. And it\u2019s an oasis in what has become a rotting, deteriorating sewer of a culture. That\u2019s why it went viral. <\/p>\n

“The incredible moment was captured by wedding photographer Dwayne Schmidt, who later uploaded it to his Facebook page where it received an overwhelming positive response. ‘Beautiful picture. It brought tears to my eyes. The bride is showing some raw emotion and love. You captured how affected she was by his words!!!!\u2019 wrote one Facebook commenter. … ‘So many people are emailing me,\u2019 Schmidt said, ‘saying thank you for sharing this. It\u2019s what America is supposed to be about.'”<\/p>\n

That\u2019s exactly right. That\u2019s my point. There\u2019s a hunger and a thirst. Do you realize what the Republican Party could learn from this? And I don\u2019t mean go all God. That\u2019s not what this is. This is tradition. This is institution, tradition, defining institution, tradition that made America great. It\u2019s all encapsulated here. It\u2019s what Americans want their country to be.
