\"Listen<\/a><\/p>\n

RUSH: After I finished with all of my avocational pursuits, it came time last night as it always does on Sunday to prepare, \u2019cause it\u2019s a school night. Monday is a workday, and of course you know what that meant. You talk about a come-down, talk about an ice cold shower, here I am on this upper and this high, and I\u2019m feeling great, and I\u2019m feeling joyful, and I\u2019m feeling proud of everything I\u2019ve witnessed at the Masters, at Jordan Spieth and his family<\/a> and everything about it, and then there\u2019s Hillary and her stupid announcement that she wants to be coronated for president again. <\/p>\n

And I said, gee whiz, what a downer, what an absolute crash this is, to have to make that leap. But we all did. And I can tell you, folks, I was telling Mr. Snerdley, Mr. Snerdley walked in here about an hour ago. I looked up at him and I said, “You know, I think it\u2019s beginning to happen.” <\/p>\n

He said, “What do you mean?” <\/p>\n

“I said, I don\u2019t know, Bo, I don\u2019t care, I actually literally –” In fact, it\u2019s more than I don\u2019t care. I angrily, actively don\u2019t care about Mrs. Clinton and her presidential announcement and her campaign and everything associated. I don\u2019t care what the media is saying about it. I don\u2019t care who\u2019s excited. I don\u2019t care a whit about it. To me, Mrs. Clinton running for president is a microcosm of everything that\u2019s been wrong in this country since the mid-nineties coming back to life and trying to be reborn and reconstitute all of that negativism and continue the batch of it that we\u2019re currently living through. <\/p>\n

And I said there has to be more to life than this. Hillary Clinton running. And then, of course, duty called, I spent time familiarizing myself with the stupid things like the van and announcing on Twitter. And then I saw that stupid map that the Drive-Bys created with Twitter lighting up people supposedly excited by Hillary\u2019s campaign. Nobody\u2019s excited about Hillary\u2019s campaign. That\u2019s the point. They\u2019re having to create all of this excitement. There isn\u2019t any genuine excitement over Mrs. Clinton. That\u2019s the whole point. That\u2019s what bugs me. It\u2019s all manufactured. <\/line><\/p>\n

Now, in the Drive-Bys I imagine there\u2019s some genuine excitement, I mean, people who live and breathe and die this stuff on the left. I know that there\u2019s some genuine excitement. But for most people out there across the fruited plain, this is being forced on us, and I resent that. I turn on the TV and I see how breathlessly excited the Drive-Bys are, and I resent that. ‘Cause I think they\u2019re faking. <\/p>\n

Everything about the Clintons is fake, plastic banana, good-time rock ‘n\u2019 roll, in terms of Mrs. Clinton trying to prepare herself as a woman running for everyday people. About the only thing that you can conclude here is that, to me, it looks like Hillary is gonna run as Elizabeth Warren in a pantsuit. I don\u2019t know if she can pull that off or not.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Saturday Night Live. I didn\u2019t see it, but Saturday Night Live apparently ripped Hillary <\/a>to shreds in a skit, in an opening skit. I don\u2019t know what about. I don\u2019t know what the details were. I just read that it happened. I don\u2019t know that it means anything. I know a lot of people are going to write that it does. A lot of people are gonna say, “Hey, you know what? Saturday Night Live, no conservative show that, and if they start ripping into Mrs. Clinton, that\u2019s pop culture, a lot of young people watch Saturday Night Live.” <\/p>\n

I even had somebody suggest — you know, Mrs. Clinton was late yesterday announcing her stupid campaign. What\u2019s the big deal? Everybody\u2019s known this was gonna happen. To treat this as though it\u2019s some shock and surprise, pleasant or otherwise, is just disingenuous because it\u2019s fait accompli. She\u2019s late. The fact of the matter is she\u2019s late announcing because she got all of her paid speeches in, as she acts like an everyday American. <\/p>\n

Mrs. Clinton hasn\u2019t the slightest idea, and neither does Barack Obama and most in the Democrat Party, despite their claim they stand for the little guy, they really don\u2019t know what everyday Americans, ordinary Americans, I prefer to call \u2019em the people that make the country work, they literally have no idea what life is like for most of those people today. They live in their cocoons. They tell themselves they got a great economic recovery going. They tell themselves they\u2019ve got a great foreign policy going. They tell themselves that because life is great for them inside the Beltway in their little cocoon, it\u2019s good for everybody. They have no idea. <\/line><\/p>\n

They have no idea about student loan debt. They have no idea of the literal panic that\u2019s out there over Obamacare. They have no idea about people being downsized from full-time work to 30 hours a week just to keep health care. They have no idea, and they don\u2019t want to understand it, and they keep making it worse. They keep flooding the market with illegal aliens hoping to be granted amnesty that will flood the ordinary American market and dilute it even more. <\/p>\n

It offends me. Somebody like Mrs. Clinton comes along and had to lie about being dead broke when they left the White House, stole furniture living the residence, try to pass themselves off as average, ordinary Americans, ordinary, everyday people, when their best friends are the richest people they can find. Every friendship the Clintons have is tied to money. I think the Clintons are classic people who, if they didn\u2019t have money, if they weren\u2019t able to offer things in exchange for money, I don\u2019t know how many friends they\u2019d really have. <\/p>\n

Let\u2019s face it, folks, there are just certain people — we have all kinds in America, as does the world — and you\u2019ve known these people as well as I do. Some people have to purchase their friends. They have to buy their love because left to their own devices they\u2019re just not gonna attract that many people. I think the Clintons are classically in that camp. I think their Hollywood buddies or whoever they are, their international intrigue, foreign policy buddies, it\u2019s all involving money, people giving the Clintons money in exchange for something. <\/p>\n

They\u2019re not giving the Clintons money \u2019cause they love \u2019em. They\u2019re not giving the Clintons money because they want the next invitation. They\u2019re not giving the Clintons money for personal reasons. They\u2019re giving the Clintons money because of what the Clintons will be able to do for them or to prevent happening to them. So in terms of real meaningful personal relationships, I don\u2019t think it\u2019s that many. <\/line><\/p>\n

I think one of the telling things is all the people close to Hillary — it\u2019s happened to me, too — they take you aside and they tell you who the real Hillary is. “Oh, yeah, the real Hillary, she loves having a beer. She loves going to bars and playing darts. Oh, the real Hill, she laughs.” Why do you even have to tell us this? Because it isn\u2019t obvious who the real Hillary is. The real Hillary comes across as a detached, mean-spirited, aloof, arrogant, elitist Nurse Ratched. That\u2019s why they have to tell us who the real Hillary is. Oh, yeah, behind the scenes, I\u2019ve had it happen to me personally. I\u2019ve had friends of hers describe back in the nineties, “You don\u2019t understand her. She\u2019s the life of the party.” <\/p>\n

I said, “Right.” <\/p>\n

“Well, she is. Hillary loves umbrella drinks.” I actually had somebody tell me that. So what? In some people\u2019s worlds, in fact the world they run around in, umbrella drinks are embarrassing, and you wouldn\u2019t be caught dead drinking one. I mean, a pina colada with an umbrella in it, no, no, no. But that\u2019s the kind of stuff they have to tell people that Hillary does when we don\u2019t see her. And I just maintain that if somebody has to come along and tell you who the real Hillary is, the real Hillary that you never see, that\u2019s not the real Hillary. <\/p>\n

Anyway, all of this, to me, is concocted. Every bit of it\u2019s manufactured. I have a real problem with things that aren\u2019t real, and I have a wall up, boundaries, if you want to call it that, whatever. I\u2019m suspicious of manufactured anything, public relations, buzz, you name it. And I just think all of this is. <\/p>\n
