RUSH: Do you remember last week, maybe the week before, I mentioned to you Andy McCarthy had sent me a PDF file, PDF copy of the form, the exit form, OF-109? Every employee has to sign this exit form when you leave the Department of State, and every department has its own form where you have to make certain promises and pledges. Every employee has to fill one of these out, and every employee has to turn one in upon their exit from the department. And the media has been after Jen Psaki, the spokesbabe at the State Department. They have been asking her, “Did Hillary submit her OF-109?” And Psaki said (imitating Psaki), “We don\u2019t know, we don\u2019t know, we don\u2019t know, we don\u2019t know.” And the press has kept asking, some of the press has kept asking. Psaki was trying to send \u2019em off half filled. “We\u2019re looking, I\u2019m sure she did, can\u2019t find it, I\u2019m sure it\u2019s here, don\u2019t sweat it, everybody does, no big deal,” until today.<\/p>\n

PSAKI: We have reviewed Secretary Clinton\u2019s official personnel file and administrative files and do not have any record of her signing the OF-109. In addition, after looking into their official personnel files, we did not locate any record of either of her immediate predecessors signing this form. It\u2019s not clear that this form is used as part of a standard part of checkout across the federal government, or even at the State Department. So we\u2019re certainly looking into that.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Are you kidding me? Are you really trying to — okay, so she didn\u2019t submit one, but neither did Condi? And neither did General Powell? Is that what we\u2019re supposed to believe now? “In addition, after looking into their official personnel files, we did not locate any record of either of her immediate predecessors signing this form. It\u2019s not clear that this form is used –” Something is going on here. They\u2019ve kept the press dangling on this for days and now they\u2019ve dropped the hammer. She didn\u2019t submit it. <\/p>\n

I think partially we\u2019re back to the nineties now because the defense here, “Everybody does it.” The Clinton defense in the nineties was either, “It\u2019s sex, everybody has sex. It didn\u2019t affect his ability to lead. It didn\u2019t impact his job at all, everybody does it. Leave us alone.” They\u2019re doing the same thing here. ” Well, no, she didn\u2019t submit the form, but neither did Condi and neither did Colonel Colin Powell, and neither did anybody.” So nobody follows this rule, apparently. <\/p>\n

But I think something else is going on here. I think Ed Klein — you know, Ed Klein is responding to<\/a> all of the critics who say he\u2019s making this stuff up about the Obama administration being behind all of the leaks about Mrs. Clinton\u2019s e-mail and her private domain and her server, not using the State Department. And Klein says this is Obama. It\u2019s actually Valerie Jarrett. So people have been firing back at Ed Klein, like we had Josh Earnest yesterday. (imitating Earnest) “This is absurd, I\u2019m not even gonna talk about any further.” And then he started cackling like Hillary does. <\/p>\n

Well, Breitbart News<\/a> today: “Valerie Jarrett Leaked Hillary\u00c2\u2019s Private Email Use to Press — Vengeful Obama confidante Valeria Jarrett went through back channels to leak Hillary Clinton\u00c2\u2019s use of a private email server to the press, an explosive new report reveals.” This is the Ed Klein report in the New York Post. And listen to this little pull quote here from the Breitbart story. “Valerie Jarrett blamed the Democratic party\u00c2\u2019s 2014 midterm losses on the Clintons\u00c2\u2019 insinuations that Obama\u00c2\u2019s unpopular policies, including executive amnesty for foreigners gobbling up American jobs, made the president an ‘albatross\u2019 around the reigning party\u00c2\u2019s neck.”<\/line><\/p>\n

Valerie Jarrett blamed the fact that the Democrats had a landslide defeat in 2014 on Bill and Hillary, because she accused Bill and Hillary of running around claiming Obama\u2019s immigration policy was doing in the Democrat Party. And that\u2019s why Valerie Jarrett did what she did. Now, here\u2019s the pull quote. “Jarrett, Obama, and Obama\u00c2\u2019s wife greeted Hillary as a triumvirate of black liberals at the White House after Democrats got thrashed at the voting booth,” in 2014. <\/p>\n

So we\u2019re painting a picture at the White, Hillary goes to the White House, and she\u2019s greeted by a triumvirate of black liberals — Jarrett, Obama, and Moochelle. “Under the watchful eyes of his wife and closest senior advisor, Obama told Hillary, the former first lady of Arkansas, in no uncertain terms he would remain ‘neutral\u2019 in the 2016 election — signaling he would not, in fact, support the Clinton candidacy that the media call ‘inevitable.'”<\/p>\n

Another pull quote here from the Breitbart story: “With Obama\u00c2\u2019s approval, Valerie has been holding secret meetings with Martin O\u00c2\u2019Malley,” the former Democrat governor of Maryland who\u2019s out there doing a Vladimir Putin impersonation, going shirtless and pumping iron. She\u2019s also been holding secret meetings with Elizabeth Warren. “She\u00c2\u2019s promised O\u00c2\u2019Malley and Warren the full support of the White House if they will challenge Hillary for the presidential nomination.” This is Ed Klein reporting. He\u2019s doubling down. He\u2019s adding on to what he reported earlier over the weekend. That Valerie Jarrett has now promised O\u2019Malley and Elizabeth Warren full White House support if they go, after the triumvirate of black liberals at the White House told Hillary they\u2019re doing nothing for her. <\/p>\n

So, you see, Klein is making it clear here that there\u2019s no love the lost between the Obamas and the Clintons. Now we have Jen Psaki saying Hillary didn\u2019t turn in the form. I think this business about the others didn\u2019t either, that\u2019s kinda to soften the blow, but they still threw her under the bus. Jen Psaki works for Obama. She may be the State Department spokesbabe, but Hillary\u2019s not there anymore. John Kerry is. <\/p>\n

Oh, have you heard what he\u2019s doing? This guy. Oh, what a piece. It\u2019s bad enough what he\u2019s doing with the Iranians. John Kerry\u2019s out there comparing himself to Churchill and Abraham Lincoln. Yeah, let me find it. It\u2019s about global warming. Pages are sticking together here. And as high-tech as I am, it\u2019s impossible to do this without printing out pages<\/a>. <\/p>\n

“Kerry Compares His Courage To Lincoln, Churchill, Dr. King, Gandhi And Mandela — Secretary of state John Kerry,” who you may not know served in Vietnam, compared himself to Winston Churchill, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, “for having the courage and tenacity to tackle the most heinous enemy plaguing mankind — climate change. ‘My heroes are people who dared to take on great challenges without knowing for certain what the outcome would be,\u2019 Kerry said in an address to the Atlantic Council on Thursday. ‘Lincoln took risks, Gandhi took risks, Churchill took risks, Dr. King took risks, Mandela took risks, but that doesn\u00c2\u2019t mean that every risk-taker is a role model.'”<\/line><\/p>\n

He\u2019s implying here that people like him and Obama and Algore are now the real heroes for going against all the deniers of global warming. I kid you not. And this is the guy negotiating the Iranian deal for Obama. But my point is Jen Psaki has just thrown Hillary under the bus by admitting who cares what the predecessors did. She didn\u2019t submit that form. Jen Psaki works for Obama. There is no form. Hillary didn\u2019t submit it. She didn\u2019t follow the rules. <\/p>\n

Here\u2019s Ron Fournier admitting the Democrats are scared to death over Clinton. This is last night, Special Report with Bret Baier on the Fox News Channel. He said to Fournier, who is now at the National Journal, “Is the alarm going off in the Democrat Party, Ron?”<\/p>\n

FOURNIER: Yes. Don\u2019t buy the spin. They are scared to death. And there\u2019s a lot of them who are already starting to think, is she really the best candidate for us? Follow the money. A lot of Democrats are really worried about the foundation. That\u2019s what they\u2019re really worried about.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yep. Follow the money. A lot of Democrats are really worried about the foundation. This guy, at least six columns on her now, in as many days, seven or eight days and maybe more. It\u2019s almost as though he knows more than what he\u2019s reporting and there\u2019s gonna be another couple shoes to drop here. This is Ron Fournier, I mean, former White House correspondent, reporter, AP, bureau chief. I mean, in the tank for these people in the old days, dates all the way back to Arkansas with them. Now total abandonment. Well, close to total abandonment. But he\u2019s not the only one. Here\u2019s John Boehner this morning in Washington. The Speaker held a press conference. Hillary came up. He said this.<\/p>\n

BOEHNER: The American people deserve all the facts about what happened in Benghazi. That\u2019s why it\u2019s so important for Secretary Clinton to turn over her personal server to a neutral third party. I think this is the fairest way to make sure that we have all the documents that belong to the public and ultimately all the facts.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Mr. Speaker, Hillary\u2019s already gone through the documents. There were 60 some odd thousand e-mails on there, and she went through \u2019em all, and there are 32,000 that are personal and private, none of anybody\u2019s business. And so you\u2019re just supposed to trust her. There\u2019s nothing there to see. She\u2019s already looked at \u2019em, you can be confident there\u2019s nothing there. You can see the 30,000 that she printed out. Thirty thousand pieces of paper, maybe more than that, some e-mails maybe more than one page. <\/p>\n

David “Rodham” Gergen. This morning CNN\u2019s Newsroom, he was interviewed by fill-in anchorette by the name of Randi Kaye, who said, “Will this be an issue for Mrs. Clinton if she decides –” I\u2019m not kidding. This is the question. And this is David “Rodham” Gergen\u2019s answer.<\/p>\n

GERGEN: The issue of the e-mails itself, you know, that\u2019s gonna diminish over time. The real question is the narrative that builds up. If there are a series of incidents that deepen the sense that as accomplished as she is, she\u2019s also not authentic or she\u2019s not believable, that can be very corrosive.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait a minute, now. If there are a series of incidents that deepen a sense that, as accomplished as she is, she\u2019s also not authentic, not believable, that can be very corrosive. This is what it\u2019s always come down to. What is this “she\u2019s so accomplished” business? She hitched her wagon to a guy, followed the guy everywhere, and took over wherever he ended up. Is that what they mean by accomplished?<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: I should remind you that Jen Psaki — I know she pronounces it Psaki. I just like to say the P \u2019cause I like to demonstrate my professional prowess by not popping the P when I say it. Amateurs will always pop the P when they say it. But I don\u2019t. Jen Psaki. Anyway, she\u2019s moving to the White House. She\u2019s gonna become Obama\u2019s spokesbabe. So don\u2019t think, you know, that she is trying to cover up for Hillary by claiming that neither Condi or Colin Powell or any of these other predecessor secretaries of state didn\u2019t turn in the exit form, either. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes, I know that. Of course I know it\u2019s sunshine week. It\u2019s sunshine week in Washington, celebrating government openness and transparency. How silly. I think the futility of sunshine week is illustrated by our discussion here today of Mrs. Clinton and Obama doing everything they can to hide everything they\u2019ve been doing, while claiming and promising all of this transparency. <\/p>\n

One more sound bite, David “Rodham” Gergen here. Now, he just said in the previous bite that if there are a series of incidents involving Mrs. Clinton that deepen a sense that, as accomplished as she is — which is just a myth. It\u2019s a manufactured Democrat Party myth, like smartest woman in the world. Accomplished? Okay. As accomplished as she is, she\u2019s also not authentic or she\u2019s not believable. If that happens, if those perceptions surface, that can be very corrosive. And then Mr. “Rodham” Gergen tells us who\u2019s really, really at risk here.<\/p>\n

GERGEN: The Republicans have to be very careful here. If they call her up to the Hill and start, you know, bullying her, she\u2019s gonna get — there\u2019s gonna be a real backlash against that and it will help her —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Stop the tape. See? You better not criticize the Democrats. You better not bully them, \u2019cause you\u2019re just gonna anger the independents, and the independents are gonna be running back to the Democrat Party in droves. It\u2019s the same trick. They play this trick. They\u2019ve been playing it for my entire adult life. You Republicans, you better not be critical of this. You better not call her up to testify. You better not bully her, \u2019cause there\u2019s gonna be a real backlash, and you\u2019re gonna end up helping her. You better not be seen as piling on. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the hapless, the genuinely hapless Republicans who haven\u2019t done diddly-squat, other than post a letter to the mullahs on a website, are being warned here by David “Rodham” Gergen that they\u2019d better be very careful. They\u2019d better play this very close to the vest. They better make sure they don\u2019t bully the girl. They better make sure they don\u2019t continue this War on Women stuff or they\u2019re gonna really pay a price for what Mrs. Clinton has done. <\/p>\n

See how this works? It always comes back. It\u2019s the Republicans at risk here, meaning Democrats can go off the reservation, do whatever they want. They can skirt the edges of the law. They can skirt the edges of the Constitution. They\u2019re never in trouble for doing that. If the Republicans call \u2019em on it, the Republicans are gonna have the excrement sandwich, and they\u2019re gonna pay the price. Message: You leave us alone. Let us do what we want to do, and if you dare criticize us, we\u2019re gonna see to it that the media calls you on it. And that\u2019s what David “Rodham” Gergen\u2019s warning. Here\u2019s the rest of the bite.<\/p>\n

GERGEN: — is piling on, which can happen very quickly. And if people get a sense they\u2019re just beating up on her because she\u2019s Hillary and that there\u2019s nothing really there, then I — you know, I think — I think that\u2019s gonna backfire.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, the Republicans have been neutered to the point that there\u2019s not much being said. Boehner\u2019s about it. “Hey, I think she should turn over the server.” Last I looked, it was the Democrats all upset about Hillary, Mr. Gergen. Last I looked it was Ron Fournier saying Democrats are worried sick about what this foundation really is and all this money coming into it, Mrs. Clinton arranged, and from who and for why. I haven\u2019t seen the Republicans mentioned in any of this. As I read and watch and consume the Drive-By Media, the impression I get, it\u2019s Democrats that have been thrown for a loop on this. <\/p>\n

But, meanwhile, you Republicans — (laughing) don\u2019t you love this? You better watch out. (laughing) You better not be too critical. You better not go after her just \u2019cause she\u2019s the girl. You better not bully her. You better not even say a word. All you can do is laugh. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. So David “Rodham” Gergen says the Republicans should be very, very, very careful. They should not bully or overly criticize Mrs. Clinton. That would redound negatively.
