CALLER: Rush, love your show, and it\u2019s really an honor to speak with you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you for what you\u2019re doing for our country.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I appreciate that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I have two things. One is a question I need you to explain a little bit more about, and then I have an idea for you that I\u2019d like to share with you. But the question is, if the AP gets Hillary\u2019s e-mails and if there\u2019s stuff on Benghazi in there, how would it not expose Obama?<\/p>\n

<\/a>RUSH: Depends on what\u2019s in it. And it depends on whether AP decided to make public what they found.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, if they get the e-mails, wouldn\u2019t then Trey Gowdy, committees, those who are investigating also have them, and would they be as predisposed as to not expose Obama —<\/p>\n

RUSH: In all candor, I don\u2019t — look, I could end up being dead wrong about this, but I don\u2019t think that what AP is doing has any commonality with Trey Gowdy\u2019s committee. Are you asking, if AP can get them, why can\u2019t Trey Gowdy?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, or anybody that\u2019s investigating it. Because the AP, the mainstream would never expose Obama.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, that\u2019s true. They will shield Obama. And they have been shielding Obama on Benghazi. That\u2019s what the video was responsible for, was all about. Well, in the case of Trey Gowdy\u2019s committee, there\u2019s this thing called separation of powers, and the White House will go to as great a length as they can to tell Congress to pound sand. “What, you think you\u2019re entitled to our e-mails? Screw you, buddy. Go to court.” Go to court, however long that takes. AP, other media outlets, it\u2019s a different legal proceeding with different legal aspects to it. So your ultimate question is, if they discover something in these e-mails that negatively impacts Obama, we\u2019re never gonna hear about it. Is that your fear?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, yeah, I guess, why would they want \u2019em if — they\u2019re gonna expose Hillary, but wouldn\u2019t it also expose Obama?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Maybe, but the AP is not even asking for Benghazi-era e-mails. Benghazi\u2019s not even mentioned in the AP\u2019s lawsuit.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh. Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All they\u2019re trying to get is the e-mails that Hillary is refusing to release.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I see.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They\u2019re not asking for everything. Hillary only gave up half of her e-mails. She\u2019s keeping the other half on her server, claiming they\u2019re about yoga and her daughter\u2019s wedding. That yoga bit, I\u2019m sorry, folks, I\u2019m sorry, why everybody isn\u2019t busting a gut over that, I don\u2019t understand. Are we actually to believe this woman goes yoga-ing? That\u2019s just me. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay. So you\u2019re saying they\u2019re not gonna even get to those Benghazi e-mails, so he\u2019s probably protected?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me read to you from the AP story on this, on their own lawsuit. It says here the FOIA, Freedom of Information Act request and lawsuit “seek materials related to her public and private calendars, correspondence involving longtime aides likely to play key roles in her expected campaign for president, and Clinton related e-mails about the Osama Bin Laden raid and National Security Agency surveillance practices.” No mention of Benghazi. Which means that even if there are Benghazi e-mails in the treasure trove that they\u2019re seeking, they\u2019re not gonna be provided because they\u2019re not seeking them. AP\u2019s not even asking to see them. So they would be withheld, if AP wins the suit, they would be withheld from what\u2019s released. ‘Cause in an FOI request, you get what you request, nothing more. And if they\u2019re not requesting anything to do with Benghazi, then they\u2019re not gonna get anything related to Benghazi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And would you like to hear my idea for you as well?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh. By all means, I\u2019m open to any ideas.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I am wondering if you have ever thought about taking the success you\u2019ve had with the Rush Revere series and the success that you\u2019ve had with the Two If By Tea<\/a> endeavor and thought of maybe including in Two If By Tea a Liberty Lemonade.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Liberty Lemonade. (laughing) Snerdley liked that. That\u2019s an interesting creative — see now, but if we do that, here you come with your own lawyers, probably reported on by AP, wanting royalties. That\u2019s the danger of proposing ideas to big-time celebrities like me. If I happen to go do that now, I\u2019ve got 20 million people that can line up and say I stole it from you and join you in a class-action.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m giving it to you. Now you have it on the radio.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing) I know. I get that, and I appreciate it. It\u2019s a great idea. It really is and I\u2019m flattered that you\u2019re thinking in that regard. I really am. Now, on the Benghazi e-mails, Trey Gowdy says there\u2019s a three-month gap in the Hillary e-mails around the time of Benghazi. He\u2019s been very clear. Everybody with an open mind knows that something happened at Benghazi that they are still covering up. They are not going to release them. And the AP\u2019s not even asking for them, so they won\u2019t get them. And I think the Regime here is employing a run-out-the-clock strategy on this. <\/p>\n

(interruption) Yeah, I know, if I were in Hollywood I\u2019d say, “You know, we\u2019ve been thinking about Liberty Lemonade for years here. We haven\u2019t acted.” I could have cut you off at the pass, but I\u2019m an honest guy. That\u2019s how they do it in Hollywood. Whenever somebody poses an idea, they say, “Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, we\u2019ve been thinking about that for years, look at this, the documentation,” and then they go immediately make it up.
