RUSH: This is Suzanne in Shaftsburg, Michigan. It\u2019s great to have you, and I appreciate your patience as well. Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. How you doing today?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Great. Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I just thought I\u2019d call and share a cute little story with you. I bought your books for my Sunday school class this Christmas, and after church one of the little girls, Caylee, came up to me, and she looked disappointed, and she showed me the book. And I said, “You are gonna love this book.” And she just looked at me, and I said, “This is history, but it\u2019s done in a fun way, history of our country.”<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/map>\n<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, wait a minute. You bought the books for your — oh.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I thought you said —<\/p>\n

CALLER: I bought two of the Pilgrim —<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m sorry. I thought you said you said you bought them for your son, not Sunday school class.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, Sunday school class.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: So she flipped the book over, and she said, “I don\u2019t even know who this guy is.” And I said, “Well, he\u2019s the gentleman that wrote the book.” And she said, “Oh.” So, you know, they went home on winter break, and they came back, and she couldn\u2019t stop talking about Liberty, you know, she was quoting statements that he had made in the book. So I was real happy that she was happy with the book.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I can\u2019t tell you how great a story that is. So, if I understand, you teach Sunday school class and you got the books, you bought the books for the class.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And you let one girl take one home —<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I gave a book to each of my kids.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, okay. Okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: She got the second one that came out because I could only sign two of the Brave Pilgrim books, and I looked at all the stores around our area, too late to order it, so I got her the Patriots.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: This is your daughter, not somebody in the Sunday school class?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, this is my Sunday school kids. She\u2019s eight years old.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, can you hang on through the break? I got totally discombobulated.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m sorry.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, it\u2019s not your fault. It\u2019s my hearing. I thought you said your son, and then I thought you said your daughter. Hang on.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Don\u2019t go away.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. We\u2019re back with Suzanne now in Shaftsburg, Michigan. I\u2019ll tell you the problem. See, problem number one is my hearing, and number two, I visualize stories. It\u2019s part of the way I try to enhance my hearing, and I heard you say “son” when you said “Sunday school.”<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And when you said “my kids,” I thought you meant your daughter in addition to the students at the Sunday school.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So that\u2019s where I got off track.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m sorry.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, no, no, no, no, no, no. It\u2019s my problem. So start at the beginning. You bought it to Sunday school class. I know the young girl, Haley, didn\u2019t know who I was. “What the hell is this?” Blah, blah, blah, blah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. (giggles)<\/p>\n

RUSH: It turned out she took it home and read it and she loves the character Liberty?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, she does. She came into Sunday school class the following week, and she was quoting from Liberty all of these things. I wish they could learn Scripture verses that easily. (chuckling)<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s an idea. It\u2019s an idea.<\/p>\n

CALLER: She was just delighted.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Do you have children?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I have two sons, but they\u2019re grown and out of the house for years.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, how many are in your Sunday school class?<\/p>\n

CALLER: There are four.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And you said you weren\u2019t able to buy them all books because you couldn\u2019t…?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I wanted to get your very first book so I could build them a library, you know, with birthdays and things.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But you couldn\u2019t find Brave Pilgrims?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I only found two copies. So I had to buy your second book for the other kids.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait a minute. You only found two copies of what?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Of the Brave Pilgrims. The bookstore was sold out.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, see, I thought you didn\u2019t have any Brave Pilgrims.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I bought two of those, and then I bought —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, how many in the Sunday school class again?<\/p>\n

CALLER: There are four.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Four in the class. So you wanted to buy one of each. So you wanted to buy four copies of each for each of the kids, is that what you\u2019re saying?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I was gonna buy four copies of your first book.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ah, and you couldn\u2019t find it so you —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh. Okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I waited too long to buy them and they were sold out.<\/p>\n

RUSH: See, another thing: When I hear “Sunday school class,” I think 15, 20, 30. I\u2019m trying to figure out how two books go around that way. I get it now. I get it now. The main point is, you had little Haley; you asked her to read it. She said, “Who is this guy? I don\u2019t know this guy.”<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. “I don\u2019t even know who this man is.”<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right, and she came back and had read it. Did she like the rest of the book or just like Liberty?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, she hadn\u2019t finished it. She was still reading the book, and then we had to close church Sunday because of the weather, so I haven\u2019t seen them for about a week.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What weather? Why did you have to…?<\/p>\n

CALLER: The roads are really bad out here.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We live in the one and we had a lot of blowing snow and icy roads.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I tell you what I need to do. What I need is, I need you to stay on hold and I need to take care of all this. I need to send you enough copies of all three books so that you can be fair with distribution in your Sunday school class.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That would be great.<\/p>\n

RUSH: We\u2019ll do that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I would love that. Thank you so much.<\/p>\n

RUSH: There\u2019s some other stuff, too, a whole little package of stuff that we will send for everybody, including young Haley.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Her name is Caylee.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Caylee?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Caylee, yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: This has been… This has not been my call. I can tell you this much. All right, hang on. It is Suzanne, right, in Shaftsburg?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, it is Suzanne. Thank you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. So you hang on. Mr. Snerdley will be back with you, and even though it\u2019s in the country, we need a FedEx address.<\/p>\n
