RUSH: Now, let\u2019s move back up to the top of the page. Gloria Allred was on CNN today on New Day, and the fill-in cohost, the former Fox infobabe, Alisyn Camerota who moved over to CNN not long ago, she\u2019s speaking with Gloria Allred about Monica. She\u2019s talking to Gloria Allred about Lewinsky\u2019s new cause, using her example, what happened to her as a way now to end cyberbullying. But again, she wasn\u2019t bullied.<\/a> <\/p>\n

Matt Drudge didn\u2019t make her do anything. Matt Drudge didn\u2019t come along \u2019til after Lewinsky had done something, or everything. But that doesn\u2019t matter, either. They\u2019re gonna call it cyberbullying, and cyberbullying in this case is defined as exposing the immorality of Democrats. That is cyberbullying. <\/p>\n

See, Democrats are supposed to have been able to get away with these things. Democrats are supposed to be untouched. You\u2019re not supposed to report Democrats doing this kind of stuff. And, if you do, you are engaging in cyberbullying, and you are the problem, not the people who are committing these various acts that people end up finding out about. So Alisyn Camerota says to Gloria Allred, “Won\u2019t her story help other people who have felt public humiliation or shame? Will it help her?”<\/p>\n

ALLRED: It definitely is a legitimate issue to talk about cyberbullying, and she received a lot of criticism. But a lot of Republicans are quite aware that Hillary may very well wage a battle for the nomination in the upcoming presidential primary, and they would like to bring back the whole affair with Monica and President Clinton. And that, of course, brings Hillary right back into it. But they may regret what they wish for, because, in fact, a lot of people may feel a lot more sympathy for Hillary, the wife who had to put up with this affair and also was humiliated by it, and so it may end up helping Hillary.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: You mean like it has up \u2019til now? Okay, so Gloria said, okay, bring it on, bring it on. You Republicans, go ahead. Hillary runs, bring up Lewinsky, bring it all up. It\u2019s only going to make Hillary look vulnerable. It\u2019s only going to make Hillary seem sympathetic. And that I don\u2019t know is possible. Do you think that anybody could make Hillary Clinton look vulnerable? Do you think anybody could make Hillary Clinton become a sympathetic figure? Do you? (interruption) Really? You think she was sympathetic then? (interruption) You did? You felt bad for her? (interruption) You felt bad for her when she was blaming the right-wing conspiracy for this? <\/p>\n

Somebody on my staff admits to me they were feeling sorry for Hillary when she\u2019s on the Today show blaming the right-wing conspiracy for what her husband did. And the right-wing conspiracy back then was me. Fox News was just starting in 1996. They were just starting. The right-wing conspiracy was me and I was the Mr. Big. Anyway, I disagree. I don\u2019t think Hillary ever comes off as vulnerable, and I don\u2019t think she comes off as sympathetic because none of this was news. The fact that Clinton steps out on her time and time and time again was already widely known. <\/p>\n

<\/a>Hillary is seen as invincible. I have to remind people she puts her pants on one leg at a time like all the other guys do. I\u2019m the one that has to put this in perspective for people. She\u2019s looked at as superhuman. I mean, people on our side don\u2019t think she\u2019s vulnerable. People on our side are scared to death of her. No, don\u2019t smirk at me. I could take you to any number of places in New York City and I could have you meet this person, meet that person, and they\u2019re petrified that she\u2019s gonna get the nomination because they\u2019re petrified she\u2019s gonna win. They\u2019re petrified she\u2019s so all-powerful she can\u2019t lose. We got people on our side who are literally waking in fear over the fact that she is gonna get the nomination because they don\u2019t think she\u2019s beatable. <\/p>\n

Well, fine and dandy. I\u2019m just saying, somebody like that\u2019s not seen as sympathetic. Somebody like that is not seen as vulnerable. (interruption) Well, see, how long are we gonna feel sorry for Hillary? She\u2019s already forgiven the lug, right? That was the big stroll to the helicopter from the White House with Chelsea and Hillary and Bill. I mean, how many times are we gonna be feeling sorry? How many times are we gonna go through this. Well, anyway, then Allred and Camerota have this exchange after this last sound bite we just played for you.<\/p>\n

ALLRED: Monica was a victim. She wasn\u2019t sexually harassed because what happened was welcome and therefore it wasn\u2019t sexual harassment.<\/p>\n

CAMEROTA: So then why is she a victim, if she wanted him, she pursued him?<\/p>\n

ALLRED: Well, because even though she disclosed it quite a bit to her friend, who then disclosed it to the world, I mean, she took a lot of heat over it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, so Gloria Allred, you heard right, says that Clinton didn\u2019t harass Monica because Monica wanted it, and Monica loved it. And so there can\u2019t be any harassment. Now, I thought this also goes against every tenet of sexual harassment. I thought “yes” never meant “yes” and “no” always means “no.” And she asked for it. That\u2019s exactly right. Monica wasn\u2019t sexually harassed because of what happened was welcome. It wasn\u2019t sexual. <\/p>\n

And so Camerota, “Then why is she a victim, if she wanted it and she pursued it?” And Allred said, well, harassment because she says she was in love. She wanted the relationship, but Clinton, he was mean. He knew that she loved him, and he made fun of it and he didn\u2019t take it seriously, and that\u2019s the harassment. The harassment is that Monica was in love and totally devoted, and Clinton just toyed with her affections and was so mean. And that\u2019s why, if there was any harassment, that\u2019s what it was. But Monica wasn\u2019t harassed because of what happened, because it was welcome. She wanted it. Therefore it wasn\u2019t sexual harassment. <\/p>\n
