RUSH: Grab audio sound bite number 22. I just got this. I just received the transcript of this. I haven\u2019t had a chance to read it, but I want to hear it. Apparently, Jimmy Carter was on CNBC today and said he could have beaten Reagan if he was more manly. Feminists are not gonna like this. He was on with the host Tania Bryer. She said, “Even your wife, Rosalynn, was encouraging you to take action against Iran,” back during the hostage crisis. “Was it hard to not take everyone\u2019s advice around you, even your wife?”<\/p>\n

CARTER: Yes. Well, I could have been reelected if I had taken military action against Iran. It would have shown that I was strong and resolute and manly and so forth. But I think if I – I could have wiped Iran off the map with the weapons that we had, but in the process, a lot of innocent people would have been killed, probably including the hostages. And so I stood up against all that advice and then eventually my prayers were answered and every hostage came home safe and free. And so I think I made the right decision in retrospect, but it was not easy at the time.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, I could have been manly. I could have blown \u2019em off the map. Yeah, manly. I could have blown \u2019em off the map, and I probably would have won reelection, but I wasn\u2019t gonna do that. I would have killed innocent people. <\/line><\/p>\n

We\u2019re killing innocent people now. You know we\u2019re killing innocent people, and we\u2019re dropping — did you hear about this? We had an accident. It\u2019s not funny. We actually dropped, via parachute, we air dropped a bunch of food and medical supplies to ISIS. (interruption) Yes. (interruption) It was an accident. It went to the wrong place. Hey, these things happen. (interruption) Well, that\u2019s the thing, I don\u2019t know. It says reported in the news as an accident, but I wondered. (laughing) We\u2019re dropping food and medicine.<\/p>\n

Carter\u2019s prayers were answered (imitating Carter), “Yeah, yeah, my prayers were finally answered, and every hostage came home safe.” The only reason the hostages came home safe and free is because Jimmy Carter lost the election and Ronaldus Magnus was victorious. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
