RUSH: The AP has a story <\/a>that immigration is a nonfactor in the November elections, congressional House races, it\u2019s a nonfactor. And in the Senate races, it\u2019s just amazing. It\u2019s dropped off with all this stuff going on, Ferguson and ISIS and Al-Qaeda and all the rest of it, the voters don\u2019t care about immigration anymore. That\u2019s the point of the story. Immigration\u2019s dropped off the radar. You people don\u2019t care about it. It isn\u2019t going to be a factor in congressional races in November. <\/p>\n

AP has story. Daily Caller<\/a> has this: “Democratic State Representative and candidate for US representative Pat Murphy said Tuesday that if the underage migrants who have come to the US from Central America aren\u00c2\u2019t given a ‘pathway for citizenship\u2019 they could become terrorists.”<\/p>\n

He was on public radio in Iowa. He said, “We need to make sure that we take care of the children that are coming up here. They\u00c2\u2019re not from Mexico, they\u00c2\u2019re coming from further south. We need to make sure that when we\u00c2\u2019re talking about these children we need to treat them like they\u00c2\u2019re our children or our grandchildren. If they\u00c2\u2019re gonna be refugees, which several of them are going to be, we need to make sure that we have — one, we take care of them, and we create a pathway for citizenship and set up education for them so they don\u00c2\u2019t become the same problem that we\u00c2\u2019re currently having in the Middle East — that they\u00c2\u2019ll be terrorists a generation from now.”<\/p>\n

Remember, now, AP says immigration is a nonfactor. It\u2019s just amazing how it\u2019s disappeared. It has nothing to do and will have nothing to do with the House races in November. And now this guy, a State Representative in Iowa, Pat Murphy, seeking a seat in the US House of Representatives, said, “We better grant these kids amnesty \u2019cause if we don\u2019t –“<\/p>\n

What he\u2019s essentially saying is, if we don\u2019t grant \u2019em amnesty, they\u2019re gonna get so mad, they\u2019re gonna become terrorists, and we don\u2019t want \u2019em to become terrorists. We don\u2019t want that. So we better give \u2019em health care and we better give \u2019em citizenship. We better give \u2019em welfare and we better take care of \u2019em like they are our own children and our own grandchildren. Otherwise they\u2019re gonna become terrorists. <\/line><\/p>\n

You think I\u2019m making this up? This is certifiable proof that Democrats, some Democrats from Iowa, are insane. I don\u2019t know who it\u2019s an insult to. Yes, it\u2019s an insult to the children, but you talk about what must this guy think of the voters in Iowa who he wants to elect him. How stupid does he think they are? How frightened, how scared does he think they are instead of being angry? But it follows, doesn\u2019t it, folks? <\/p>\n

Think about this, this guy\u2019s dead serious. It follows. The US is the problem in the world. We better make amends. We better make sure that they find out a different story about us. They want to come here so bad, I mean, they\u2019re traveling 45 days, sometimes on the top of trains. They\u2019re being brought here by coyotes. They\u2019re leaving their own parents. They\u2019re leaving their own homes. They want to come here so bad, and if we don\u2019t be nice, why, they\u2019re gonna become terrorists. Do you realize that kind of thinking could handcuff us? That kind of defensive, guilt-laden, frightened way of thinking could lead us to do anything that\u2019s detrimental to our own national interests.<\/p>\n
